    Quote from Cordelia »

So far I was unable to trace back the issue to a certain group of add-ons. The AceEvent20Frame reference in the memory dump may or may not be related to the use of the Ace function, however I remember that after the Black Temple patch I had several crashes until a friend of mine told me to download certain fixed Ace2 libraries, which put an end to those crashes.

I'll talk to him later today to figure out what Ace library/file was updated.

By the way, my cache was cleared quite a few times since the first crash occurred, and I even went through the pain of reconfiguring PitBull and other add-ons after nuking the WTF folder.

Now my add-ons are "without externals", and I switched to using the !!StandaloneLibraries package + WhoLib (which is not included): I'm freaking glad because it has already eliminated an infrequent but annoying error (/who spam generated by SpamSentry/Eloquence/Prat combo).

After logging in, I got the following error (version 36984):

[2007/06/07 11:33:22-1436-x5]: FuBar_FuXPFu\FuBar_FuXPFu.lua:673: bad argument #2 to 'format' (string expected, got nil)

I have FactionsFu, FactionItemsFu installed in addition to FuXpFu. I logged on in Nagrand in Telaar inn, and no reputation was displayed (no faction was selected) either in FactionsFu or FuXpFu. (Which, imho, is strange, because I set Kurenai as watched faction for Nagrand in FactionsFu.)

The error kept recurring every second or so, but it stopped when I selected a faction in FactionsFu.

Btw, the same error occurred once when I was crossing the Twisting Nether on flying mount, and no faction was displayed by both FactionsFu and FuXPFu.

This bug is still a recurring problem (version 40110). I have now reinstalled all my add-ons (using WoWAceUpdater, with the 'Without Externals' method). The circumstances are always the same: I log in, I get the 'Fatality' audio alert from BugSack, no faction is shown on either FuXPFu or FactionsFu, and every second the bug counter increments until either I set a faction manually or zoning triggers a faction display update.

Note the Ace20Frame reference in the memory dump? Can it be an Ace2 based Unitframes add-on related crash? I'M using PitBull right now.

posted a message on /who Spam?
Myself, I experience the /who spam issue when I'm zoning. Two or three names are listed in the chat window, or sometimes, when the zone is empty, a '0 Player' message.

And no, re-downloading SpamSentry and reinstalling from scratch (with all config files deleted) did not solve it.

Would it be possible to add an option to ignore party invites from people below a given level?

I don't mind getting invites from people who aren't on my guild or friends list (if, for example, they want a teleport or I'm joining a pickup group), and since all the gold sellers seem to be Level 1 characters, this would be a better solution for me.

    Copy/paste from curse-gaming SpamSentry thread:

"As for people requesting blocking party invites based on level: Blizzard provides no way to put party-invites on-hold. As such there is no way to perform a levelcheck before deciding wether or not to show a party-invite."

every now and then it would block whispers without telling me, and I got annoyed of it yesterday when people tried to whisper me when I was making a party and only a few were coming through, I turned off spamsentry for good yesterday and now I'm getting all whispers. When normal whispers are blocked I wouldn't get a message or anything, they just wouldn't show :\

If you are here to help to author figure out what went wrong (and not just to bicker), it would be useful to post what chat related addons you are using (like WIM, Prat, etc.). I've never experienced issues like the one you described, for all blocked messages (even for the false positives) I get the brown-colored notification message with the clickable links.

Auto-decline party invite from people not on friends list or in the same guild does not work. Version 37218, with the option ticked, I got an invite from a players who is on both my friends list and in my guild and the add-on auto-declined the invitation although it should have accepted it.

I'm using Prat, Eloquence, Answering Machine Plus in addition to SpamSenty as chat related add-ons.

posted a message on PitBull: Heal Estimator - Estimated heal not showing for 1st heal
    Hello,

This is more of an annoyance than a real show-stopper bug, but I'd like to know if anybody else experiences the same issue:

When I use a healing spell of any rank for the first time after logging in, the estimated amount of healing is not shown. Subsequent uses of the same spell will be displayed correctly with the amount of heal/overheal. However, when I pick another healing spell (e.g. Lesser Healing Wave), the same issue occurs - no estimated heal / overheal for the first heal, and then the display works correctly for any subsequent heals.

    Can anybody confirm this?
