    but Skinner is on of the biggest junk collections on WoWAce as it includes 1 or more files for almost every AddOn even if you dont use 200 of them


    To be fair individual addon skins are in a seperate folder and you have to move each addon file into the skinme folder for it to load. AFAIK WoW doesn't load every file in the addon directory, so it's not like you're loading all 200 skins. Considering how many mods people use, getting consistancy from an entire GUI change is nigh on impossible. Perhaps someone needs to design a mod like buttonfacade where people add in support into their own addons rather than the original mod supporting everything.

    To post on topic, I like the updated pic. Would love to see it inserted in the UI (as that adds so many more elements). I personally liked the original background textures, including the parchment. I felt they were textured, but still fairly subtle. The new one looks a bit to uniform and somewhat too light (IMHO!). I like gradients :D

    Emblem I think?

    I tried using Emblem as part of my UI but it doesn't have bold/italic/bolditalics. But it's numbers are very nice and clear.


    The images are very nice. As Phanx said I'm not sure about the borders, but I'm an anti-border kinda guy - the reason why I use skinner.

    Also not sure parchment type textures squared off so severely like that really work. It looks strange to me, maybe some sort of fade out round the edge would be better?

    Otherwise very nice, would much prefer it over the default UI. But it seems to 'fit in' with the World of Warcraft styling more than skinner does. Skinner does cover everything in the same UI mod/gradients, so your UI can get a bit homogeneous with it. While seems somewhat this more unique and varied.

    TBH, as a non-officer raider I'd quite like this addon. I bid on a marginal upgrade and so do 4 other people. Do I have type to inspect each person and see whether I should withdraw my bid cos the item is a bigger upgrade for one of the other people?

    Would be nice to do a quick eyeball at some mod and I can have an approximate guess as to whether the item I'm about to win is better for someone else who's bidding but has less DKP than me.

    (this is using a zero-sum DKP system btw, static prices for each item).

    I was idly flicking through the preset textures and they're all very very pretty. With regards to the sun and moon presets, it is possible to have them change depending on what time it is (day/night in the WoW world)? Or at least check the time at login and change accordingly (is that even possible?).

    Or perhaps at a texture cycle, so you pick texture sets from a pool and it changes at every login, or over a set period. Fade-in-fade-outs would be cool too (beyond scope/impossible to achieve?).

    Just random thoughts of mine :)

    Others have posted similar thoughts but I'd thought I'd just add mine quickly; I loved CTA, but I only used it for LFx scanning. The grouping tool was actually more cumbersome than my standard method of inviting by whisper. Perhaps it would be good for 40man raids where you need to know overviews, but otherwise no.

    So, all I wanted from it was constant silent LFx msg scanning (in General, Trade, Guild, LFG channel, basically everywhere). So when I felt the need to group I could look at who else was LFG/LFM recently. Whilst the LFG tool and it's method of joining a channel when you use the tool only allows looking for groups AFTER you decide to go dungeon somewhere. The Blizzard LFG tool also completely negates random/spontaneous 'I shall go to that dungeon cos there's an almost complete group going' kind of actions as you won't see said group unless you're already LFG for that dungeon. Sorta chicken n egg situation there I think.

    With the current Blizzard LFG tool it requires a certain amount of proactive group finding. You need to know specfically what dungeon you want for starts and it's terrible for finding a group for open world group quests (as no one uses it). Also people tend to put more info in LFG/LFM typed msgs that they input into the LFG tool, hence scanning msgs might give you more info about what people are looking for in their group.


    Anyway. Really glad someones looking into getting a good grouping tool going whether based on CTA or not.

    You can't do it the other way around. You'll need to Hide() and Show() ChatFrame3 when in/out of combat in the panel's script.

    Edit: Also managed to get my questwatch frame to hide when grouped (to make room for raid mods etc). My mind boggles at what else I could do with kgpanel scripts. I don't even use the actual frames the scripts are attached to, lol, just set them to invisible all the time (excepting a bottom frame I originally got kgpanels for).

    Hi I'm trying to hide ChatFrame3 while in combat, and thought seeing as I had kgpanels running for a bottom panel I might as well use it.

    I assumed if I could parent the chatframe3 to a kgpanel frame that hid while in combat that would work.

    I've managed to create a frame that shows/hides when out/in combat. But how does one parent the chatframe3 to it? I can parent the panel to the chatframe, but not the other way around. Is this even possible/sensible.

    Hmmm, my minimap buttons keep moving (and the time keeps reappearing as some previously said). I'd assume an addon conflict, but AFAIK I don't have any other addons which alter minimaps.

    I'll have to have a play and see.

    The button 'move' only occurs on login.

    Bug on my death knight. Ungrouped (i.e. grid isn't even visible). Haven't tried it on a class that actual has buffs to miss. Will update.

    - I could not stand every bag to be at different place all the time, so went and made them all at fixed positions with right-click on the bag title
    - Bank and bags are kinda undestinguishable initially, but if you rearrange them and put different color on them you'll feel better
    - Select one virtual bag and enable the free slots on it. I selected "unsorted". This is the only way you can drop stuff in your bags


    Thanks for these. I'm sticking with Luggage for the same reasons you are (especially as I'm coming from ArkInv, which is no bad addon, it's just immense is all). Those pointers should help luggage feel more natural :)

    Er, how do you unequip items? Tried dragging from the paper doll to my bags but it does nothing.

    Also, I'm slightly confused by the bank. Went to bank, dragged an item to my bags and all it said in the tooltip was '[Item] in bank' or something similar. It hadn't actually put the item in my bags, even though it showed in the bag (the bag being having Location:bank set to red).

    Um, hope that makes sense. I must admit I'm getting confused with the way this addon can show items multiple times.

    Edit: Work it out now - drag onto the 'empty spaces' icon.

    Hmmm, it doesn't pick up all minimap buttons - e.g. Closetgnome, Grid, AuditorFu and oRa2. Is there anything that could be done about this? Showing minimap buttons on hover is possible the most awesome thing I've come across.
