    This is great, I tried your version out Tekkub and it saves my settings between sessions (the old one didn't for some reason).

    Now, if some talented coder could only make this mute selected channels while in raid instances I'm sure half my guild would be overjoyed... I've set up a separate tab with all channels except for General and LocalDefence, but it misses system and addon messages. Leaving and rejoining would ofc be an option, but I always forget to rejoin... :(

    I use Industrials small addons for many of my chatbox needs, they are all on the SVN and descriptions are available here. There's one small addon for every need (one gives timestamps, one hides the buttons, one makes the chatframes scroll with the mousewheel, etc).

    There's also one for putting the editbox on top of the chatframe, but for loads of flexibility with the editbox you could try Confab. It's not an Ace addon, and I have no idea if it has a performance impact or anything :p but it can even change the texture of the editbox, or make it transparent, if you're into that sort of thing. I also like Confabs implementation of the "tell target" feature, if I write /tt while having someone clicked on it visually changes the editbox to show that I'm whispering the person targeted.

    First let me say that I love the perl script :D It has made my life so much simpler.

    However there's one small quirk that bugs me with FuBar-compat-1.2, when it's checking out or updating the externals, it skips http://svn.wowace.com/root/tags/BabbleLib-1.1/SpellTree ... all the other externals are checked out just fine. Consequently I get an error when the script exports the externals to my Addon folder.

    There is a "/FuBar-compat-1.2 BabbleLib-SpellTree " target="" data-ensure-absolute>http://svn.wowace.com/root/tags/BabbleLib-1.1/SpellTree" entry in my external.cache.txt file, it just never gets checked out.

    I've made a kluge by adding 'http://svn.wowace.com/root/tags/BabbleLib-1.1' to @externals along with Ace2, which works ok... but I was thinking that there should be a more elegant way. (Not that fluent in Perl).

    Is that just me or do you guys get the same?

    With regards to the afk status there's a couple of fine FuBar plugins that fetches that info, Guild_Fu and Friends_Fu (both on the SVN). But there might be a call to find that status amongs your friends/guildmates seeing as the friends/guildlistings show them in game... I have no idea if it also would work in a raidgroup :/.

    I love both Guild_Fu and Friends_Fu in their current shape :D They are just what I want/need and just about anyone that I've shown them to switches to (or start using) FuBar when seeing them.

    I had no idea that you made my wishes come true when I wrote that last post, probably I was a bit behind in versions :)

    Ouch, lag is bad. :p And I dont want to give you a headache - just that it would be a *very* good thing to show imo. I can see that not everyone shares my opinion though :) so a toggle for such a feature - if you decide to implement it - would be good.

    Yes, it has to do with playstyle and what you're "used" to... I found it a good thing, and many of my friends cling to ctra, seemingly for this feature alone :p But it's in no way game breaking.

    I completely love sRaidFrames, they are lightweight enough to run on my poor machine yet they provide the overview that I need. If you would consider tips on features to make them even better (imho) i have a few:

    1. Tooltips, maybe it's just me - but the game tooltip doesn't show when mousing over the frames.
    2. Highlight, maybe this is also me, but if I select a player from the frames it would be good with some sort of highlightig of that "bubble". I know the game shows me the target frame, but sometimes it's good to be able to select a player in the 3d world and immediately see which group he or she is in.
    3. The dreaded timers, like ctra shows bufftimers/soulstones/druid rebirth timer and stuff... this has been asked before (by me also) and answered. I just want to make the list complete :p

    Still, it's the best alternative to ctra's frames so far. Thanks a LOT for your work, and making it happen in the first place!

    I too like the possibility to show more info than the old GuildFu does.

    There's one thing that would make my day with both GuildFu and FriendsFu though - and that is to have an option to show the afk status of people, it shows in the ordinary friends list and in the guild rooster but I don't know if there's any api call to find that out... Seeing the afk status of the guildies and friends with only a mouse-movement and a glance would make it easier to form a group or even raid with a bit less trial and error.

    Oh, and FriendsFu might not need an option to show "selected" members though as it can only be 50 names on the list... But seeing AuldLangSyne notes for friends would ofcourse be great :).

    Good news: the new textures work for me (Mac OS X, switching between fullscreen and window mode)... i.e. the HiBar preset works, the other two (using non updated texture files) does not.

    I think the suggestion about combining the alpha settings sounds good if I understand you correctly :p (make the "not full" bars use the alpha from ooc and targeting?), that means I can see my mana coming back even ooc and not targeting anything, and when I'm at 100% the bar will disappear (right?).

    But would that solve the problem with the casting bar not showing? I guess it's treated as "not full" then... the bestest way imo would be to always show the casting bar at 100% since it's quite a "different" bar from the ones showing mana/health... but I guess there's someone that might want to see castbar at an arbitrary alpha :)

    The thing I'm after is to have all of the hud hidden when everything is ok... (ooc and not targeting anything and at full mana/hp) and to light up when "needed" (casting, crafting or targeting anything - and in combat ofcourse). And also to have the text at 100% for max readability when targeting or in combat regardless of the bar alpha. It seems as the lower text follow this pattern when I turn on "Lock Bar Text Alpha" - it shows nicely when I target someone, and it's hidden otherwise. But the upper text for player mana/health does not - it stays at 100% even when not targeting anything. My problems might stem from my age, the green coloring of the hp text makes it hard enough on my old eyes as it is :p.

    But still these are details, IceHUD is by far the "best" hud I've found. It's easy to read and use, and looks nice to boot.

    A bit late... but I can also confirm that the files you put up at http://iceroth.net/debug/ indeed fixes the problem with the lost textures when switching between windowed and fullscreen mode. The files work for the "Bar" and "HiBar" presets, and the "RoundBar" preset still have the problem. On a side note it seems as one can change preset from RoundBar to one of the working ones and then back again to get the round bars to show again (as an alternative to reloading the UI).

    Also a small suggestion, I like to have my bars completely hidden when not in combat - but to keep the text settings at "Lock Bar Text Alpha" for maximum readability. However this makes the upper text always visible for player health and mana (while the lower texts are hidden when out of combat and not targeting anyone). Would it be possible to have *all* text hidden when ooc and show the text with 100% when targetting someone or going into combat?

    And as said before, it would be very nice to have the cast bar show when needed (mounting, performing tradeskills, etc).

    Other than that it's a beautiful Addon, it has quickly become my hud of choice. :)
