posted a message on Omnibus [was: AcePad]
I get errors when I try to flip pages and/or create new ones:

Trying to create a new page, or using the "flip forward" button produces this error:
Omnibus\lzwLib-1.0.lua:244: bad argument #1 to `char' (invalid value)
    <in C code>: in function `char'
    Omnibus\lzwLib-1.0.lua:244: in function `writebits'
    Omnibus\lzwLib-1.0.lua:324: in function `compress'
    Omnibus\Omnibus.lua:413: in function `CompressPage'
    Omnibus\Omnibus.lua:646: in function `SetPage'
    Omnibus\Omnibus.lua:906: in function `FileListEntryClick'
    <string>:"OmnibusFileListEntry2:OnClick":3: in main chunk

Trying to choose a page from the popup menu gives this error:
Omnibus\lzwLib-1.0.lua:244: bad argument #1 to `char' (invalid value)
    <in C code>: in function `char'
    Omnibus\lzwLib-1.0.lua:244: in function `writebits'
    Omnibus\lzwLib-1.0.lua:324: in function `compress'

    Omnibus\Omnibus.lua:646: in function `SetPage'
    Omnibus\Omnibus.lua:518: in function `?'
    Omnibus\Omnibus.lua:464: in function `ButtonClick'
    <string>:"OmnibusRight:OnClick":2: in main chunk

And, lastly, trying to import pages from TinyPad gives this:
Omnibus\lzwLib-1.0.lua:244: bad argument #1 to `char' (invalid value)
    <in C code>: in function `char'
    Omnibus\lzwLib-1.0.lua:244: in function `writebits'
    Omnibus\lzwLib-1.0.lua:324: in function `compress'
    Omnibus\Omnibus.lua:413: in function `CompressPage'
    Omnibus\Omnibus.lua:205: in function `ImportTinyPadPages'
    Omnibus\Omnibus.lua:588: in function `?'
    Omnibus\Omnibus.lua:464: in function `ButtonClick'
    <string>:"OmnibusImport:OnClick":2: in main chunk

I'm using embedded libs. Other than this :P it seems to be just the perfect notepad/editor for me... but it's kind of frustrating to only have the first page as the only one...

Edit: Oh, and I forgot to add... its no hurry or anything (as if we could ask for anything anyway - you do a great job, for free). I hope you can sort out your real life problems in as good a way as possible... stuff that hits you in RL tend to dwarf the problems we face in Azeroth, or with our addons. Take Care.

    posted a message on oSkin
I have CharactersViewer 2.73 (http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/wow/addons-490-1-charactersviewer.html) and get this error with only that and it's included dependency CharacterProfiler, oSkin (r15408) and BugGrabber/BugSack loaded:

oSkin\AOElements.lua:1207: attempt to index field `CharactersViewer_Frame' (a nil value)
    oSkin\AOElements.lua:1207: in function `CharactersViewer'
    oSkin\AddonFrames.lua:104: in function `event'
    AceEvent\AceEvent-2.0.lua:422: in function <...erface\AddOns\BugSack\Libs\AceEvent\AceEvent-2.0.lua:402>

And then it follows up with "last message repeated xxx times" (usually hundreds of times).

If I enable all my addons I get:

oSkin\AOElements.lua:325: AceHook-2.1: "QuestLog_OnShow" already has an active hook from this source.
    <in C code>: in function `error'
    AceLibrary\AceLibrary.lua:117: in function `error'
    AceHook\AceHook-2.1.lua:247: in function <...face\AddOns\AuldLangSyne\lib\AceHook\AceHook-2.1.lua:231>
    AceHook\AceHook-2.1.lua:457: in function `SecureHook'
    oSkin\AOElements.lua:325: in function `FramesResized_QuestLog'
    oSkin\AddonFrames.lua:77: in function `event'
    AceEvent\AceEvent-2.0.lua:422: in function <...ce\AddOns\AuldLangSyne\lib\AceEvent\AceEvent-2.0.lua:402>

A wild guess is that the last error may have to do upgraded libraries, discussed in this thread; http://www.wowace.com/forums/index.php?topic=2836.0

Edit: Nope... the wild guess was really really wild it seems :P. If I comment out line 104 in AddonFrames.lua (i.e. to read -- if IsAddOnLoaded("CharactersViewer") then self:CharactersViewer() end) all errors are gone even with all my addons loaded, the second error seems connected to the first somehow.

posted a message on [request] DKP View ingame
I use DKP Table (http://ui.worldofwar.net/ui.php?id=2458) for this, it's not been updated for some time but still works fine for me. Only problem would probably be that the supplied script for getting the DKP values is a Perl script and not all Windows users have Perl installed :P (I made a script to get the dkp values and then start WoW for me, and then I use that script to start the game so I always have a fairly fresh list ingame).

It also supports whisper comands so anyone in my raid can whisper me "!dkp me" or "!dkp myclass" to get a reading of his/her DKP. One of the users (spatton) is in the process of rewriting/updating it since the original author has not been heard from for some time.

posted a message on Prat: Chat Mod Framework
The only thing I still miss from this Excellent mod is a "scroll to bottom" button in the corner of chatframes when not at the bottom, like the venerable ChatBox has (http://ui.worldofwar.net/images/ui/01819.chatboxB.jpg). I know it's on the ToDo at the wiki page, I just wanted to do a shameless plug for that poor feature :)

I currently use Tekkubs "The Low Down" which is great in it's own right, but not what I need... A visual indicator would be a lot better. I sometimes scroll up to read or compare a lot of links, and if I don't scroll the frame a tad now and then TheLowDown will start scrolling it to the bottom for me. With a button I'd always see what frame is not at the bottom, and have an easy way to get there.

    I also get:

FuBar_ToFu\ToFu.lua:194: Abacus-2.0: Bad argument #2 to `FormatDurationCondensed' (number expected, got nil)
    <in C code>: in function `error'
    AceLibrary\AceLibrary.lua:121: in function <...ce\AddOns\AuldLangSyne\lib\AceLibrary\AceLibrary.lua:50>
    AceLibrary\AceLibrary.lua:164: in function `argCheck'

    FuBar_ToFu\ToFu.lua:194: in function <Interface\AddOns\FuBar_ToFu\ToFu.lua:185>
    <unknown>:
    <string>:"TaxiButton9:OnEnter":2: in main chunk

Whenever I mouse over a destination that I have not moused over before. If I mouse over all destinations at a flightmaster the error goes away for that session, even reloading the UI doesn't bring the error back. I have not tried to log out and in again though... But as stated, it only pops the error the first time I mouse over a new destination.

Just a slight minor inconvenience... would it be possible to add a check to see if a vendor window is open when rightclicking? As it is now you can't vendor anything that can be applied with oApplication, as it will popup the application menu instead of vendoring the item. No biggie - it probably won't happen that often :P Just noticed when clearing out my bags of grey stuff at a vendor and tried to sell some Nightcrawlers... O.o made me trash 75 coppers worth of stuff! :D

Thanks KnThrak! I tried that just now, but no joy :( It works once... but changing faction again from the Reputation tab doesn't make FuFXFu follow. I guess it would follow if TekAutoRep changed faction since there's a hook for it - but changing faction manually doesn't work (for me).

I can't get my head around how to make the "Watched Faction" work, I assume it should follow what I choose as "Show as experience bar" in the Reputation tab of my character. But when loading only FuBar and FuXPFu, setting FuXpFu to show Watched Faction it still doesn't follow my choice in the Reputation tab (screenshot provided).

Any pointers as to what I might be doing wrong would be deeply appreciated. Other than that it's a lovely addon, and it's even better now after the latest slew of good updates. Thanks wobin!

MadVlad , there's also a keybinding to open the keyring among the default keybindings, under "Interface Panel Functions"... it's not set by default though. I just noticed the other day, and set mine to Shift-K.

Decursive seems to play a sound named "Sound\\Doodad\\BellTollTribal.wav". I found this comment in the Decursive code:

    -- good sounds: Sound\\Doodad\\BellTollTribal.wav
    -- Sound\\interface\\AuctionWindowOpen.wav

And it plays the first of them. onkel - you can test it out to see if it's the one you were looking for by doing "/script PlaySoundFile("Sound\\Doodad\\BellTollTribal.wav")".

so becouse you dont like it sorting by hp lost no one else can get it ? stupid arguement tbh

And "becouse" you want it to sort by hp deficit, maia should invest her spare time to change her addon into something she doesn't want it to be...? stupid "arguement" tbh.

I love the way Squishy works, and I agree with Moon that it's far superior to other monitors. Many people in raids have seen that when their HP drops too low they get healed for 400% of what is needed, sure it saves their lives - but it doesn't save their healers mana. And the "lucky" healer that was the first to land his/her heal out of the many ones end up high on the Healing Meters... and the others show up on the overhealing charts. It's more of a lottery than a strategy.

posted a message on FuXPFu - (As inspired by Bant)
If I load only FuBar (2.0), BugSack, BugGrabber and FuXPFu I get this error:

FuBar_FuXPFu\FuBar_FuXPFu.lua:6: AceAddon: AceOO-2.0: Library "AceDebug-2.0" does not exist.
    <in C code>: in function `error'
    AceLibrary\AceLibrary.lua:106: in function <...nterface\AddOns\FuBar\libs\AceLibrary\AceLibrary.lua:37>
    AceLibrary\AceLibrary.lua:157: in function `pcall'
    AceAddon-2.0\AceAddon-2.0.lua:357: in function `new'
    FuBar_FuXPFu\FuBar_FuXPFu.lua:6: in main chunk

And no FuXPFu in my FuBar... just a Bugsack with this error. I tried it out because I couldn't get FuXPFu to follow my choice of "Show as Experience Bar" from the Factions page in the default UI (the one you get by pressing "U"). It seems as FuXPFu has it's own table for choosing the faction to show. I also normally use FuBar_FactionsFu to track my standings, and for easy switching what faction to show as XP-Bar.  FuBar_FactionsFu has not been touched since http://svn.wowace.com/files was born, but it used to live at http://svn.wowace.com/root/trunk/FuBar_FactionsFu in the SVN, and probably still do :)

The old version of FuXPFu showed the faction that was checked in the default UI (Or checked with FuBar_FactionsFu since that seems to be the same). This probably applies to what faction gets checked by tekAutoRep also.

It seems as the latest version of FuXPFu breaks the "Auto-adjust frames" function of FuBar. My Minimap and Character Frame is not moved down as they used to be.
