Well, I've just added "charm = 13" to itemslots on row 60, and "charm = "item:32481:%d+:%d+:%d+" " to itemstrs on row 61... but no joy. :( And as I said I'm no programmer... I just did some look-alike-hacking :P

posted a message on Mountme & Charm of Swift Flight
This has been asked before, but I think it might be difficult to implement... I'm no programmer, but I've tried to hack and slash in my copy of MountMe to no avail.

Tekkub (original author of MountMe) no longer reads these forums, and what once was MountMe in the Ace repository is now rebranded MountUp, but it doesn't have the feature either. Here's a topic in the old MountMe thread on this subject.
The problem could also be solved by ClosetGnome Mount - here's a discussion in the ClosetGnome thread, and another one on the same topic...

For anyone interested to help, the spell and trinket are these:
    Swift Flight Form
    Charm of Swift Flight

Any pointers in the right direction, or even outright hand-holding towards solving this would be much appreciated.

Is there a way to somehow lock a party member's pet to his frame? Usually if I have a toon with a pet join the party, his pet comes up somewhere around the party frames, but it's not locked into position with the toon itself... If another member joins and the one with the pet gets bumped down, the pet stays up where it was... it's just annoying. I've already changed the spacing between my party members, nice how it keeps them all together if I need them to be... now I'm just curious about party members' pets.

If I remember correctly, I don't think any frame replacement addon can do this at the moment, due to a change blizzard made in the party frames, or something like that. Answer's somewhere in this thread though, for sure.

I know this is a few days past.. but yes i know of one frame replacement addon that does place a bar for the pet in the parties player box... classic perl does which i am still using. this is one of two reasons i have not switched to pitbull. other is raid lag. but time will fix this and/or i'll have a bigger computer by then :P

I would like to second this request, I have set up my party frames and party pet frames in an intricate pattern now, but to have them grouped would be awesome - if it's even possible... And while I'm on the bandwagon, having the raid pets grouped with the raid frames would be the pinnacle of awesomeness.

But even without those features I would (almost) rather play without the world frame than without the pitbull frames.... :P Thanks a lot for your work ckknight!

About the tekKompare problem, do you use Skinner?

The reason I ask is that this texture kinda looks like that top and bottom garbage on the tooltips in those pics.

    I can only agree,

An alternative, or maybe even better option, would be if ClosetGnome_Mount had Swift Flight Form support as that module already handles re-equipping your previous trinket... I have no idea how difficult the coding for this would be though. I tried to add the support for Swift Flight Form and Charm of Swift Flight to my own copy of MountUp (nee MountMe) myself, but failed miserably.

    That sounds good Tekkub! :D

Will your version still include the "EzDismount" part? Even though Blizzard have made it so that we dismount at Taxis I loved how MountMe would make my druid deshift on errors and stand when needed (I hacked my own MountMe from the Ace SVN to use DoEmote("stand") to stand instead of the old defunct SitOrStand).

I have the same problem. It would be awesome if it worked like cg mount, where it just puts back on the set you had before you mounted. I have multiple sets and don't want to set a default for switcher. Honestly I would prefer this functionality go into cg_mount, but maybe that doesnt make sense. Still it is an awesome addon. :-)

Second the idea of Druid?s flight form going into cg_mount. Flight form is like a druid?s mount and the trinket you get from the quest serves the exact same purpose as the riding crop for all other classes. Even if flight form isnt a mount, moving it to cg_mount would make more sense than having it in switcher, imho :).

I too would love to see Flight Form (or at least Swift Flight Form) go into ClosetGnome_Mount. No druid with that form would use a mount in outland. My main wish is to have the Trinket Charm of Swift Flight equipped when switching to flight form and ofcourse to get the one I had before switching reequiped when switching back... I can make a default set (and it works well for me, technically) but that's not what I really want. I have different trinkets for Healing, Cat and Bear form and it would be lovely to have the trinket I used before switching reequipped when shifting out of Flight Form.

posted a message on Auto-Stand for casting, actions, etc ?
The venerable, very nice addon "MountMe" has this feature (now broken ofcourse). It would be nice if some friendly soul could remove it from the addon, as it nowadays gives errors about calling "SitOrStand" as soon as my character tries to do something while sitting down...

posted a message on [Request] MountMe
I'm posting here for lack of a better place, please direct me if there's an unlocked "main" MountMe thread.

I'm no programmer, but I hope to have gathered enough information to help you talented guys and girls help me :P ... It seems the function "SitOrStand" is now renamed to "SitStandOrDescendStart" and that it's also protected (WoWWiki link). Trying to manualy hack EzDismount.lua in MountMe will make my character stand when I try to do something that requires standing, but I also get the error message about "MountMe has been blocked from an action only availabel to the Blizzard UI". The problem is likely the same in other addons that automates standing up (reported f.ex. here. Is there any way to call SitStandOrDescendStart in a good, non Blizzard-banstick-attracting way ... pretty please, any nice coder?

Also there's a new speed enhancing trinket introduced in the game, although only available (and usable by) druids... You get the trinket as reward for completing the questchain for the "Swift Flight Form". As most druids who own such a trinket would likely not use a regular mount, and hence not use the Riding Crop (that doesn't do zilch for flight form) when they are in Outland, it would be awesome to have MountMe equip the Charm of Swift Flight when using Flight Form, but the Riding Crop when using a Tiger/Horse/Kodo/what-have-you when you're in the good olde Azeroth.

    posted a message on Litmus
I've taken a liking to Litmus, makes it a lot easier to see who is low on mana when using minimalistic raidframes as Grid. But I'd like to position the bars towards the bottom of my screen - is there an option to make the bars stack upward instead of growing downward that I've mssed...? Or - if not - would it be possible to add such an option, pretty please (with a cherry on top ^^).

    posted a message on GridStatusMissingBuffs
I should have tried this earlier... /smackself :( I tried starting with only BugSack, Grid and GridStatusMissingBuffs - and I still got the error. But I never tried to delete the savedvariables file, and lo and behold, when I tried that the pesky errors went away faster than my salary on a friday night. It now works flawlessly with all my addons activated again, but yes... one do have to go through ones settings to recreate them all - but it's worth it. :) Note to self: try basic things first :P

    And:

And I too can get rid of the errors by disabling GridStatusMissingBuffs, but that's a sad way to go :( Anyone else get these errors? Or, anyone that have a solution :)

    Thanks Murazorz! :D

I tried your advice and added the code snippet to the end of my cyCircled/plugins/AutoBar.lua file, and indeed my BT3 buttons are now skinned again - and no more errors. Someone with SVN access could maybe kindly commit the change?

posted a message on [Old] PitBull - official topic
One of the things that seemingly broke in ag_UnitFrames after the 2.0 patch was the ability to handle partypet-frames the way Blizzards default UI does (i.e. pets grouped with their owner, dynamically moving the other partyframes as pets are called or dismissed). Now, this wasn't AG:s fault in any way - as I understood it was simply so that the "new" way Blizzard would let addons handle partypets was to have them in their own "group"... might be very wrong there, I don't code addons myself :P

Anyway, I'm still looking for some unitframe addon that handles petframes in a party this way (if there's even a way to make the UI do that nowadays). I tried PitBull, and it seems to create a freely movable frame for each partymember, and for each pet... But would PitBull ever become the answer to my prayers, and handle the pets the way the default partyframes do (but with the nice look of PitBull ofcourse ^^)?
