I've tried searching for this problem, but I can't find mention of it anywhere and I don't know what's causing it.
Whenever I have somebody who's out of range targeted, I get this annoying red 1 that appears on the button. I've attached a screenshot of them popping out of the buttons in my current setup (BT2, BT2_Circled, RangeRecolor), but I've verfied that the same thing happens when I disable everything but BT2. I've also tried toggling the hotkey option to no avail. As far as I know, I have no other addons that touch or modify anything to do with the action bars.
Any idea what may be causing this? The 1s don't show up when targeting somebody in range.

Sep 30, 2006Discord Unit Frames done pissed me off last night, so I finally ended up making the jump to try agUF. And since I was getting rid of DUF, I figured I would see if I could deal with life without Discord period and got rid of the action bars, as well. It was scary, but my cat kept me company while I cried and got used to Bartender2 and Sprocket.Posted in: General Chat
There are three chat windows stacked on the righthand side of the screen, the top two of which are totally transparent so they disappear when things are quiet. The bottom-most one is for raid/party/general chat.
I use oCB2 for my casting bar, which sits on top of my player unit frame and is the same width. My target unit frame sits right above that. All three stack nicely, although I wish I could figure out how to put the black border around the edge of the non-bordered oCB2 so it would look almost identical to the unit frames. My other wishlist item would be to have a rez monitor that worked and had the option to grow up instead of down, so I could sit it right on top of XRS, but I'm trying to be patient; oRA2 is coming along nicely and I love it otherwise. :D

I'm mostly a filthy clicker when it comes to healing, but all of my attacks are hotkeyed. The bar swaps to the attacks when I hold alt, but I'm a total healbot and usually have no opportunity to DPS. (I've rearranged the spells on the bar since then, but at least it gives you an idea of what I see). Sprocket handles my other conditional buttons and consumables.
It's not shown in either screenshot, but there is a narrow, right-justified transparent SimpleCombatLog window to the left of the bottom chat window that shows only my healing. (+1443 [YourTarget])
Although it wasn't my intention to go all Ace2, I have only a handful of non-Aced addons left. Pretty drastic change from where my UI was a few months ago. Heh...
Sep 29, 2006Not sure where I should report this, but this seemed like the most likely place.Posted in: General AddOns
When posting on the forums using the Wiki-style layout, the "more attachments" link under the Additional Options for a post doesn't work. (It doesn't give an error when cilcked, but it also doesn't produce additional attachment boxes like it should. I had to go back to the default SMF style to make a post in a different thread.)
I realize there's a lot of stuff still being ironed out after the server move, but I figured I'd report it just in case this particular thing slips by. (I'm not sure how many people attach multiple files to their posts...)

Could the Resurrection monitor show which target you are currently rezzing in addition to who everyone else is rezzing.
This is actually no feature request, but a bug :(
It should already do that, but somehow I borked the hooks.
Any word on when this will be fixed? A lot of people in our guild have switched to oRA2 and the lack of a functional rez monitor is making things really annoying during our "learning" nights in some of the Naxx fights. (I'm currently using version 10946.)
Aside from that, everything works wonderfully.
Sep 10, 2006Just out of curiosity, what about XRaidStatus didn't suit you? Was it just the default look? (I'm assuming so, since it can do everything that the CTRA raidstatus can do, plus a lot more.)Posted in: General Chat
If you play with the options for window itself, in addition to the individual bars that you can configure, you can get it to look exactly like the CTRA version you're used to. See the attached image for a very rough example. (The left is CTRA from an old screenshot. The right is a very quick reconfiguration of XRS while I was in Alterac Valley, which is why it's so light blue. (Too much snow!)) If you spent more than the 2 minutes that I did on it, I'm sure you could come up with something that appeals to you or looks more like CTRA's version.
If that's not what didn't suit you, could you elaborate?
Sep 6, 2006More Resurrection Monitor stuff...Posted in: Raid AddOns
oRA2 is not showing fellow oRA2 users' rezzes. It does not show them to CTRaidAssist users, either. As an oRA2 user, I can see CTRaidAssist rezzes, but nobody can see mine (including other oRA2 users). oRA1 did not have this bug.
Sep 5, 2006So far, everything seems to be working wonderfully. I haven't run into any problems. Great work. :)Posted in: Raid AddOns
One small feature request: Provide an option for the oRA Resurrection Monitor to grow up instead of down. I would like to basically set the frame title flush with the top of my XRaidStatus frame and have the names of people stack up from there, rather than grow down.

Some of the things I will look into in the future is how seperating buffs from debuffs, and placement of aura icons inside the frames. Not sure what to do about the highlighting, though I want to say that highlighting will only show debuffs you can dispel and only one at a time (no mixing of colors).
Awesome. Even if the debuffs can't be moved into the frames in your existing model, just having the ability to separate the buffs from the debuffs would be wonderful.
As far as the highlighting goes, I'll have to play with it to see if it's more visible on other raid frame layouts. I only tried the ABF option. I want to note, however, that it does highlight even if the person is debuffed with something I can't dispel. (Poisoned players showed up as a greenish color and it's not something I can cure.) Do I need to have the aura filtering enabled, even though I don't have the aura icons showing?
Sorry for the questions. I'll leave you to your work now. :D

P.S. Splitting auras into buffs/debuffs with separate placement would still rock. ;)
This is the only thing keeping me from using these unit frames in a raid. I love the way the ABF layout looks on the raid unit frames, but there are two problems I have with it in regards to buffs/debuffs:
1. The debuff highlighting isn't really visible enough for me to immediately tell who's been debuffed with something I can cure. The color change is there, but it's so subtle that it's difficult to make out in a hectic 40-man raid. Also, when a target was debuffed with, say, poison (something I can't cure) first and then a disease (something I can cure) second, it's impossible to tell unless you have the aura icons showing.
2. For the most part, I don't care about buffs on raid unit frames. I use XRaidStatus to keep track of that. The only thing I want to see is a debuff that I can cure, basically.
Also, I'm guessing the answer is no, but is there any possible way that one or more of the aura/buff/debuff icons could appear within the unit frame itself, instead of outside of it? I prefer to keep everything compact with groups as close together as possible. The only thing I miss about CT_RaidAssist was the fact that it could be configured to only show me a selected debuff and it would do it within the little box itself -- no wasted space on the screen when there were no debuffs to show.
Unrelated to that, it would be neat if you could also sort horizontally, rather than vertically.
Having said all of that, I love the way these frames look and I'm looking forward to seeing where you take them in the future.
