Carbonite does that, although the node database needs a lot of updating. The addon has a new maintainer, and he has other things ahead of this on the priority list, so it'll be a while.

I should clarify that Carbonite will generate a route for collecting herbs (or ore) based on a specific herb or ore, and based on its database of places where that herb or ore is known to spawn. As Phanx points out, no addon can tell you where something, specific or not, has spawned.

A "useless" addon is by definition one that doesn't do what the poster wants it to do, regardless of any other considerations.

Ya know, I'm really tired of hearing those damn sirens every time I get on the highway. I'm perfectly capable of driving at 100 mph, I don't know why the cops have a problem with it. I know! I'll get some earplugs! Then I don't have to listen to the sirens!

The market will tell you whether people consider your add-on "edgy" or "offensive". If you don't see many downloads, well, you do the math.

IIRC, that setting says "open bags when opening AH" or some such - which happens. The close happens later. But I'll take another look.

This brings to mind an annoying behavior which may or may not be AdiBags. It could be Auctionator, which adds a few tabs to the AH interface. One of those is a "sell" window. When I go to the AH, the bag window and the AH window open. When I switch to the "sell" window (because I want to sell stuff in my bags) the bag window closes. Very annoying.

posted a message on List old addons not supported/updated by Curse Client?
At the bottom of my addon list in Curse Client 4.0 are several marked as "unable to manage". Most of them because they aren't hosted on the Curse site.

No, it's not on the "new posts" page. After I look at that page, I just click on "Forums" in the top menu.

I've taken to using the "mark forums read" button at the bottom of the forums main window, which actually works. 8)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks to me like these forums and the curseforge forums are actually the same, just with a different face. It's been a while since I checked, but as I recall, the same error appears there.

Been using rc2 lately, with good success except for one thing: I currently am testing gnomeworks also, and after I open gnomeworks once, I keep getting the "unsupported tradeskill addon" message, even when I haven't opened a tradeskill. Not a killer, but a bit annoying.

Seems to work pretty well with Gnomeworks. The scan and text dump functions work. Can't test the map stuff, because I don't use TomTom itself. I do use Carbonite's TomTom emulator. I found that Tourguide Recorder (not your addon, I know, I'm just trying to explain what doesn't seem to work) doesn't work with Carbonite, apparently because it specifically checks for TomTom, but Tourguide itself works fine with Carbonite. Would it be possible to get ARL to work with Carb as well?

I've been using Carbonite, which is primarily a map addon, but also includes a bunch of other stuff - including quest tracking and functionality similar to Gatherer.

nUI displays the number of maelstroms in its aura (buffs) list, and possibly elsewhere. It tells you each time the number goes up (visual message), and give a visual message and audible warning when it's time to lightning bolt (or whatever). The mod has some other advantages - it tries (pretty successfully, imo) to put stuff in the right place, and to provide one addon to replace a bunch of others (action bar, raid frames, etc.) It's not the "points only" thing you're looking for, but it may, in the end, be a good solution.
