Feature Request (actually I'm cheating because I requested this one before):
[Option] Hide In Arena / Hide When Raid Size <= 5
I don't know if you do much Arena Saroz, but arena is treated as a zone based pvp raid just like AV, AB, WSG and EoTS. However usually with only 2, 3 and 5 people (2v2, 3v3, 5v5) you don't want your raidframes showing.
I think I hacked a temp fix in my local a couple of times but then I always forget about it and overwrite it with the latest via an updater app. Besides it was a very quick and dirty hack there's probably an elegant and proper way to do it.
Any chance of getting this added?
It's needed in reverse in AG_UF too, if you have some spare time aka Don't Hide In Arena (PvP raid of <= 5 members).
The fact is agro is not as secure as it used to be in MC/AQ/BWL/Naxx, classes are doing more damage and deagro components seem to be alot more common. I would absolutely hate to raid end game in TBC without KLH if I was a lock, shadow priest or enhancement shaman. I agree you could easily do all pre TBC instances without KLH because the relative TPS of a good tank was so far above the TPS of good dps (assuming alliance here, blessing of salvation lolz).
.. but alot of fights in TBC, in heroics (not mech and sp) and 25 mans are poorly tuned. You basically need full dps on the edge of pulling agro to beat enrage timers, it's practically impossible to know if you are going to pull agro with those classes I mentioned above without KLH.
Maybe if it didn't cost 5-10g x25 people wouldn't care about dying/wiping as much, maybe if it didn't take 45min to clear trash that respawns on a 15-30min timer they wouldn't mind either.
If there wasn't a serious need for the mod it wouldn't get used so heavily.
If you try it on the PTR with some of the mods that can give you performance details, It looks like it does quite a bit of stuff OnUpdate and worse all the time even when not in combat and not in a raid etc. It's due for an overhaul/rewrite as it just grew organically over time with a build and fix approach. However finding someone who has enough spare time and dedication to do it... good luck.
There's definitely some weird bug both with ag_uf and sRaidFrames when you join a party or raid while in combat that causes the frames to not be populated correctly and remain bugged until you reloadui.
Rating Buster shows the stat difference for individual items on the item tooltip compared to what you are wearing in that slot.
In terms of an in game mod which basically does the job of ctprofiles I don't think one exists yet largely because I think it would be huge undertaking.
Keeping a db of item id's up to date wouldn't be fun and worse keeping formula's for every stat for every class/talent/race combo would be even less fun. As you can see with ctprofiles keeping everything up to date and getting it right for every class with the complexities of sockets, enchants and set bonuses is a bit of nightmare and in the end if the stats are wrong/unreliable the value of the addon is nothing imo.
Don't get me wrong I like the idea of an in game mod that's a character sheet clone/replacement where you emulate wearing gear and calculate the stats for that set (in game ctprofiles). I just think the potential for it worthless because it's wrong is quite high.
Now... we just need someone to prove me wrong and develop it... but who has the time thesedays!
