I don't like extra frames for Maintanks and Playertargets because my screen is full enough. However, it would be very helpfull to be able to determine at a glance who are my Targets and who are the designated Maintanks, set by CTRA or oRA.

Are tags like these a possibility?

    Something like:

    [MainTank] and [PlayerTarget]? Returning a 0 - 10 ?

Would be lovely with Pitbull and Cowtip...

Does anyone know if it would be able to copy and paste this to your other toons or if you have to write it all over again on all your toons ?

    -Strongbow-

Well it's text, so even when it doesn't copy with your profile (wich I suspect it does), you can always copy/paste the text itself...

Well tbh: Rock configuration would be nice...

But even with the current setupmethod it cost me 2 minutes to have my first Animation up and running smoothly...

I also didn't find it unclear or to complex in any way :)

I know dewdrop sucks for such a huge amount of options, I can only recommend using RockConfig or Niagara, because I'm definitly not writing my own GUI ;)

Avion doesn't show up in the Rock configuration window. Would that be possible to fix? Or am I doing something wrong?

Well, the main point of contention has never been the fact that others can see your spec. It's been pointed out time and again that a simple armory check can do the same at a minimal overhead. It's about how and where the feature was introduced, and the fact that Blizzard lets you see the talent in the inspect window has no impact on this discussion.

Which discussion has dragged on too long anyway and doesn't seem like it's leading anywhere, there's more miscommunication than debate. :P

You are correct and I was aware of the intial discussion: Should functionality be introduced in a Lib instead of an addon.

However, like you said, the discussion has derailed a bit. It was some parts of the derailing I was referring to :)

posted a message on wowace/wau desperately needs stabel release designations or something similar
I believe that the powers that be are already looking in to some kind of flag-for-release system. I think the problem is that this started out and officially still is a website for developers. Most stuff here is actually beta and is supposed to be beta. In practise: Using WAU makes you a beta tester for the developers that roam this domain. However, I believe that the reality -many people using the site as their main source of mods/upgrades- has moved people to start thinking about a system where the difference between releaseversions and betaversions can be built into the downloading proces.

    Until then:

Most mods found at wowace can also be found on other mod-sites like wowinteface.com and curse-gaming.com . Files their should be release ready.

For everyone who was against this feature, Blizzard seems to like the idea a bit and is adding some of this functionality to the inspection frame:

From the 2.3.0 patch notes (located here: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/patchnotes/test-realm-patchnotes.html)

Well I guess that's harsh news for some people...

Maybe this will mean that that broadcasting won't even be needed anymore. That somehow you can ask the server for specs through lua code?

I have no idea if it works like that, but atleast it would end this discussion.

posted a message on noob question: install cart1+cart_mining - mining shows missing dependency catog
Although in theory it shouldn't matter wether u use Cartographer1 or Cartographer and I wouldn't dare to say one is better then the other, I suggest u try it with Cartographer to find out where the problem is (I do not know if this will fix ur problem but it's worth a go).

    Btw and afaik:

Cartographer is actually the latest version of Cartographer developed by the original author. Cartographer1 is the old version, picked up by others who'd rather not work with the new version.

    Yes I know it's confusing :)

    To make it simple:

    Cartographer1 = Cartographer 1.0
    Cartographer = Cartographer 2.0

Maybe a tip for other healers that use Pitbull: PB buff filtering for advanced users.

When I started using PB for my raidframes, one thing bothered me: The choise in aura's shown...

    There were 2 choices
    1. Show all buffs on raidframes (way too much info wich would take up way too much space)
    2. Use the PB buff filtering option (Wich would only show me Priest stuff)

What I wanted: To manually chose buffs from all classes that would improve my healing. Things like:

Inspiration, Rejuvenation, Lifebloom, Regrowth, Earthshield, PoM, Fecundity, etc. (In short: buffs that make deciding who to heal easier)

    How to accomplish that:

I manually added them to the Priest list of Friendbuffs in Aura.lua . That way they appear in the Buff filtering list of the PB options menu.

It's really easy and it gives you a completely customisable list of buffs you would like to track on your raidframes.

    ---

Just thought it might be usefull to some people messing with ui's and mods :)

Nice. Similar to my idea. ^^

But may I ask what damage meter is that? I've been seeing it around lately..

It's Recount indeed. But again: I've edited the lua to outline the text, make the names classcolored and make the bars all the sdame color...
