Any takers? Wouldn't timex be useful in putting together something like this?
I admittedly know far too little about lua coding, but i DO hope to remedy that after my exams in november!

So far the only *real* alternatives are TotemTimers:
As far as I'm concerned, that's not really much of an alternative at all for keeping track of what totems have been dropped, etc. (totemtimers has been buggy and leaky from day 1, it frightens me to install it!). Something a little better was Flextotem, where it gave you the ability to select your totems by mouseovering (new word) the timer icons.
But *gasp* my flexbar savedvars were over 1.5mb! So it got the big axe, and now I'm desperate for a totemtimer that's been aced!
Sooo, would anyone be interested in pursuing something like this?

That one's mine, the addon list is over at:
There's a fair bit of behind the scenes flexbar work, ie. low level spellcasts on right click, popout menus for trades/buffs/conjuring/portals (mages seem to have a heap of these types of abilities...). That timer in the middle of the action buttons is a modified Rebuff (I hate the original frame setup). I played guild wars for a while, and got to love the minimap on the bottom right.
I also have my alerter frame setup just below the character's feet, it's noticeable, and with yummy text, looks great too :P
Sep 23, 2005I didn't realise I have about 85 addons...only noticed it when I was typing up this list for ya's. Daaamn, that is quite frankly, a shitload :( I sit at around 30mb when it comes to memory, never higher, never lower.Posted in: General Chat
If any of you notice anything that's outdated, or has a much better replacement, please don't hesitate to criticise my choices here :P I'll post a pic of my UI and give the addons a short description soon...
*Edit* Here's a screenshot of the general UI that i use across all my characters:
I have 2 separate chat boxes on the left (separating "junk" ie. general, trade, ld, wd, and one with party/whisper). Combat log is located above the minimap where the open mybag from is at.
*quick message to Rowne: if you're watching, this is why i've been pulling my hair out with that durabilityframe- so far I can't seem to get it to stay where it is in that screen, and the default locale for it is offscreen under my minimap ;( sucks to be me hehe.*
ABInfo - Flexbar
NowCombat (heavily edited text/features by me)
Scrolling Combat Text
That's all folks!
Sep 22, 2005_ForgeUser10411 posted a message on Trade confirmation, ACE'd PopBar and winamp controls..Flexbar has a tonne of functionality that's been built up for well over 6 months, and I personally think i'td be a nightmare to port over to Ace :(Posted in: Addon Ideas
Granted, i'd love it it was modularised, as I don't use a quarter of the features in there, but there's simply nothing else out there that can achieve the same feats as fb can.
My hat would well and truly go off to anyone who tried to ace flexbar, it would be fantastic, but a little unrealistic for me to hope :P

I'm not sure if this will help you or not, but this guy claims to have fixed the "loot window appearing outside the screen problem".
That's the addon there, maybe you can take a peek at how he accomplishes it?
