No, no - I did not touch anything from your code. I just used Grid options to align groups horizontally and to build everything from bottom up to top. Tanks at bottom, followed by healers, ranged dd, melee dd. That's all - trust me. :-)
I will erase my Grid (and GDL) config to see if this behaviour persists. When it does I will turn on the Grid debug facility during the next raid - maybe this could bring some light into the dark.
For several weeks, I have the problem that with GridDynamicLayout some random players boxes get really, really wide. Usually this happens with 2-3 players. The width seems to be random, too. If needed I will send a screenshot of this.
Unfortunately, this messes up the layout completely and I am using the standard Grid layouts at the moment. It only happens with GridDynamicLayout enabled and that makes the poor tree cry. ;)
Does anyone have similiar experiences? What can I do to help resolving this issue and to make the poor tree smile again..?
I assume you installed it with externals. Otherwise there might be some dependencies missing but I'm sure you checked that already.
Innervator hasn't had any updates since 2008-04-23 and there are no incompatibilities with other addons to my knowledge. On my client it is working fine (before and after patch 2.4.2).
Maybe you should deactivate all your addons except Innervator and see if it is working then.
Another check if Innervator is really loaded is to issue this command:
/script Innervator:showspiritgear()
This should display the spirit gear it has found in your inventory (this was meant for debug purposes only :-) )
Another thing you could try is to install one of those error catching addons (Bugsack, Swatter, ...) and login with only Innervator and this error-addon loaded and post the results here. Good luck! ;-)
Ah... just realized the "Additional Options..." below the text field. I totally overlooked this one till this day. What an astonishing masterpiece of modern forum technology this is. ;-)
Yes, I would really appreciate that. To keep things simple maybe you just copy & paste the contents of your localization file to this thread and I will then upload it to the SVN.
Just wanted to check one thing here, since I ran into a problem. I tried the OptiDistract branch I fiddled with on another computer, and it didn't start. No slash command, no minimap icon, no nothing. But after various attempts to find out what went wrong, I decided to try installing OptiTaunt (69567), and the same thing happened there.
DewdropLib was missing (which is pulled in by FubarPlugin-2.0). I fixed that with revision 70219 which I just commited to the SVN. Thanks for letting me know... ;-)
- added announcements for "say" chat (as requested by Tys)
- output options are now configured separately for each ability (as requested by Arag)
- sinkLib is no longer used
I recommend to reset your OptiTaunt profile in order to get rid of old configuration leftovers from the previous versions.
Please note that due to the separately configurable output options your previous settings will be overwritten. You will have to reconfigure where each ability should be announced by OptiTaunt the first time you load it. Although I tried to guess reasonable defaults. ;-)
Lots of things have changed in this new version. I hope nothing is broken (as far as my testing went everything is fine, but who knows for sure?).
Quote from Bornhall »
Just wanted the developer of OptiTaunt know that I've "borrowed" OptiTaunt for an addon (not released - will never be released)...
Basically, all I have done is change the code to suit rogues instead, plus added the option of having it SAY or YELL the warning message (YELL prevents SAY from being performed, same as RAID prevents PARTY).
Thanks for telling. ;-) You (and everyone else) are welcome to use OptiTaunt's code as you like and to release other addons based on it. No problem at all. I consider OptiTaunt as a tanking addon so I will not add rogue support, I hope you understand. With this new version output to "say" chat was added. I intentionally left out yelling announcements as this may disturb other players around when you are not in an instance for example.
Well, I decided against Babble when I started to write this addon. I think there is no need for such a heavyweight library because there are only a few localizations where it would actually help. These are found in the "skills" paragraph in every localization file:
If these are translated correctly to another language OptiTaunt should work with it. All other terms are customized descriptions or messages which are rather negligible.
I'll put further localizations on my todo-list - how about that? :-)

Maybe Grid itself is misbehaving here - but it only occurs when I turn on GridDynamicLayout.

I was afraid someone would ask for it. Yes, I will add that. Soon. Promised. ;-)
