posted a message on Auto Map Switch Behavior?
I am having a somewhat similar problem. Considered creating a new post but the behavior is similar to what is described here. Cartographer "zooms out" every time I enter combat, showing the continent rather than the zone I am in. Anyone see this behavior before, or have suggestions?

This issue was being caused by a different addon - MoveIt by Shervin. Disabled this other mod and my problem was fixed.

I'm seeing a number of issues with Cartographer post 2.3. Hope somebody can help out as I have a hard time without this mod!

    1. Cartographer isn't remembering look and feel settings. When i adjust look n feel to 50% scale, the map adjusts if it is open. If it is closed and reopens, it goes back to 100%. The setting still will say 50% despite this.

    2. If I resize cartographer while it is open and reposition the smaller map, it seems that I can't click on anything in-game that is where the original 100% sized map would me. When I close cartographer the problem goes away. Hope this makes sense.

    3. May be related, but I get this error when I open cartographer:
"...Cartographer_LookNFeel\LookNFeel.lua:463: attempt to index local 'this' (a nil value)"

Those are more spell timers than buff/debuff bars. Quartz is a cast bar addon, not a buff bar addon. Those timers are only there so you know when to cast your spell again.

Ok, that clarifies things a bit, thank you. So the spell timers are just for target and focus, and are not available for the player - is that correct?

I am trying to get rid of some superfluous addons and use quarts for my castbar, buff/debuff timers. I'm having some difficulty understanding the buff bars, hope someone can help. Under the "buffs" option, I see target and focus, each with toggles for buffs/debuffs and corresponding bar options. I can't seem to find a similar buff/debuff timer toggle (or options - size, anchor, etc.) for myself (player). The only way I am able to see my own buff/debuff timers is to target myself.

Am I missing something obvious? Thanks in advance!

I use a dual-monitor setup, and have most of my "information" shoved off on one monitor and the game in a viewport on the other. One of my greatest frustrations is having half my windows close (map, bags, quest log, etc.) when I hit "ESC" to cancel a spellcast, or when I grab a flight somewhere. Because these windows have dedicated real estate, I really never want them to close. Does anyone know of an addon that will "pin" any given window so it doesn't close unless I explicitly close it?

This is very much a work in progress, but I'm liking it so far..

@Deviant, or anyone else who may know

It looks like you are using CowTip, but it also appears you have embedded loot tables in the tooltip. How did you accomplish that?

posted a message on Hopefully a simple Mendeleev question
I recently started using Mendeleev for the additional tooltip information, and I love what it provides. My only issue is that the "Used In" tree seems to be displaying mostly itemIds and only a few recipe names. I am using the latest version of both Mendeleev and PeriodicTable from SVN, but I've had this issue persist through various versions of both.

I don't want to "hide" these itemIds - I'd rather see the corresponding names displayed (however long the list may be). How can I get these itemIds to resolve properly to names? Is there something simple I'm missing? Reading some of the threads here and elsewhere seem to suggest that others are not experiencing this same issue, and have fully populated recipe names. Thanks in advance!
