I did a little test,local _, _, _, level = GetItemInfo(link) seemed working fine, displayed the upgraded item like correctly.

In reply to Xuerian:i think i found the cause, turned off tsm and all it's modules and am no longer having any reports from xloot. so something with tsm is conflicting.Do you have some sort of auto-looting turned on in TSM?

having an issue with the xloot , it seems to be conflicting with one of my addons but i cant narrow it down, even with using only one at a time alongside xloot.I'm glad to try to help figure out this error, but I need to be able to reproduce it first, so perhaps you can work with me. I don't have an active account, so all my testing right now is done at Mist's Edge in Darkshore, just east of the docks. Lots of crabs to kill with a couple kinds of loot.Can you reproduce the error there, with only XLoot active? If not, can you reproduce it with just one other mod enabled, and tell me which one?I've tried it myself and can't reproduce it yet, which is why I ask.

Hi, can you add a feature that show item level in group loot window?I wouldn't mind doing it, but according to last time I checked, and to the wiki, there's no reliable way to get the effective ilvl of items that have upgraded through the API.4 itemLevel Number The item level of this item, not including item levels gained from upgrades. There is currently no API to get the item level including upgrades/bonuses.

Anyway, thanks for the fix. After three attempts at patching it, XLoot1.0 finally alerts users of the alpha issue if it isn't there.

Because one was nil, my addon produced an error.

Like I wrote above, I corrected that problem, I simply use GetNumLootItems(). Thats better.
It's a question in general if I must validate a global variable that is present by default.
It should be considered external input to your application, as it were, so yes.
I suppose it is indeed irrelevant now that you use the appropriate function, but XLoot disables the default loot events so those variables are never properly filled. As most loot frame mods do that do not try to commandeer LootFrame

The autoloot setting is checked with GetCVar("AutoLootDefault") after LOOT_OPENED/LOOT_CLOSED...hmm is there a faster (better) way? if so, please post.

This is a bit random, but I decided to do a quick search of the forums since I was here to see if there were any outstanding issues I was unaware of, and I can't seem to find any tainting or modification of global variables that you are mentioning in the legacy version of XLoot.
If it is or was causing a issue, I would very much like to rectify it.
Also inb4 thread necro, etc. Still a valid question.

That, or provide a way to retrieve the skin table for a created group?
I understand it is not intended for anything but action buttons, but it has worked very well for my purposes, and was allowing users to skin XLoot along with the rest of their UI quite easily.
