Those changes fixed the lua errors caused by clicking options in the config menu. As far as I can tell, the addon is now fully functional.

I don't know if you wish to update the formal addon on the curse page, but if you do with those two alterations, you could also mark it as working for classic.  I am going to share the fixed version with my guildmates. I will not post an updated version to the public without your permission. it's also worth noting that I know nothing about coding.

You can share it. I was going to push an update, then I found my configuration for pushing updates is broken or out of date, and there's zero documentation for it on curseforge and I couldn't be assed.

will do. it will most likely be Tuesday as I am at PAX West for the next 4 days

     Try this:

    XLoot_Frame\Frame.lua:243

    Replace

    		do

     With

    		if GetCurrencyInfo then

    And in XLoot\helpers.lua:99

    Replace

    	local role = UnitGroupRolesAssigned(name)

     with

    	local role = 'NONE'
    	if UnitGroupRolesAssigned then
    		role = UnitGroupRolesAssigned(name)
    	end

    Would really really appreciate it.

It's the only addon missing for me now :(

     Glad to accept patches.

Xloot didn't work on the beta. However, I tried it again on classic yesterday, and it seems to be working fine - at least for me.

However, Bugsack is logging like 2 errors per second because it can't find get currency value and other things.  These bugs only start throwing when you try to configure the mod, so I've moved what I needed to and got it all set up, and then I restarted my game. so it "works" and doesn't throw errors.  It could be better though.

If you can give me specific errors I can probably work around it, but I have no active sub and no desire to play classic either.

I can't test it due to no trial mode.

Is there any chance of you making a version that works for classic?

I don't have any version planned for classic at this time.

I have an issue with the xloot , it seems to be conflicting with one of my addons but i cant narrow it down, even with using only one at a time alongside xloot.

     Ok, so.. Error?

Hi, I am new to this addon. It was recommended by Michael Bell AKA BellularGaming.  Is there any way to make the loot table appear at the top of the screen instead of the bottom? I can't seem to get it to do this. Thank you.

As in the loot window, or the list of things you/others are looting?
If window, turn off Frame snapping and move it there next time it opens.
If monitor/list, show the Monitor anchor (/xlm), drag it where you want, open XLoot options, go to monitor, and change growth to downwards

Padding issue should be fixed. If you keep getting slot errors please report the circumstances as accurately as possible.

Hmm, unfortunately I don't.  I just tried loading the version I'd been using -- I think it's from 2012, with some tweaks I made to the main lua file in 2017 -- but the errors are preventing the loot window from showing.

Using the current version of the addon, basically trying to minimize the space between the loot window border and the loot items -- the highlighted area in the screenshot here.

    Hope that helps clarify.  :)

This should be possible with 8.0-4 and padding options

Either try with only XLoot or only removing XLoot. If it happens with it, or stops when you remove it, it's probably to blame. If not, it's another addon that uses Ace.

Thanks for keeping xloot alive!  I finally transitioned to this from the original version that I'd been keeping alive for myself, and I'm trying to get the look and feel as close to the original as possible.

Any possibility of having a config setting for the padding between the border and the loot list?  It's quite a bit more than I'd prefer... I like to have the border pretty tight in on the loot rows.  Also might be nice to be able to set the thickness of the border itself.

    Thanks again!

Do you have a screenshot of what you're trying to accomplish?

Actually, just tested on the PTR and it seems to be working, thumbs up :)

I moved one line below the other one, it was updating appearance before storing options. It should actually work fine for you right now if you change profiles then /rl, I think.

Hi Xuerian, thank you for this wonderful addon.

I've just started to create a profile other than default with some custom settings. If I change profile to anything other than the one that loaded when I logged in I get the error below. I can switch back to the original profile without error. This occures even with a brand new saved variables file with just the profiles provided during initialisation.

    Love your work.

Thanks for the report and I'm glad you enjoy the addon :)
This should be fixed in 8.0-2, which I'm not sure works entirely with 7.3

I don't understand why it keeps looting other stuff. I only want it to loot heavy junkbox.

     Sorry you're having trouble.
I can't replicate this (Granted, I'm using a trial gnome and [Inert Elemental Speck])
I know this is potentially frustrating, but have you tried:
    • Reinstalling XLoot
    • Clearing XLoot's settings
    • Adding the item you want to loot through the [A] button for it in the loot window

This happened to me now in a Wailing Caverns group.  It was loot from a chest, the option popped up to need/greed/de, but it did nothing when I clicked either of them. Let me know what you need for troubleshooting; it doesn't seem my bugcatcher recorded an error.
That's because it's a blizzard bug. Your roll was counted, you can ask anyone else in the group next time it happens.
Check out /loot - the blizzard UI that uses the C_LootHistory API that XLoot uses. See the warning on the addon page:
There is a Blizzard issue when you are the opener of a chest in Group Loot mode, your rolls will not be recorded nor will the events XLoot use fire. From my experience, your roll is still counted. See this bug report: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/15508091093

This doesn't bother the default roll frames because they don't linger after you roll. They call the function to roll on the loot that  XLoot Group does and then close themselves immediately.

I haven't been able to use Xloot on any of the new "allied races", the bar pops up with the need/greed/pass buttons but when I click on them nothing happens, loot ends up running to the end of the timer and is awarded to those folks who were able to interface and pick need/greed properly. No .LUA errors or anything.

     Firstly, sorry you're missing loot.
That's a really odd cause for an error. I have no idea how to test this, I haven't had an active WoW Account for a year.
Is this on 7.3.5 or 8.0?
And this only happens when you're playing one of the new races?
And this wasn't loot on a chest of some kind?
Did the rolls show up in (edit) /loot? This is a native WoW feature, not part of XLoot.
