which is why i want it but when i log into WoW and check my addons it's listed as out of date and even though i still leave the box checked none of the tp commands work
There's a checkbox at the top of the window that says "Load out-of-date addons."

Have you even read what i wrote or have you just posted the first available topic found by "cpu-issues"?
Your topic is about lagspikes, but I speak about constant FPS decrease.
Actually, the link he posted was right on target for you. In the thread, it mentions FPS and CPU-usage in regards to DogTags and Pitbull, and what most people who are concerned about it do.
It's my thinking that before you tell others to learn to read you should, perhaps, do so yourself.

Could one of you be kind enough to tell me how this works?
self.Health:SetWidth(unit and 200 or 100)
What's with the unit and part?
It's a conditional expression. Basically: If unit exists (not nil or false), return 200. Otherwise, return 100. Conditional expressions in Lua only work if the first return value is not nil or false - which in this case is true (200).

The Murloc is awesome, he will tell you this...
ROFLMAO! That's about as good as "You appear to be slightly dead."

Uhm, it's entirely up to the display addon how it does it's config... there's no need for a "specification". If you don't like the display's config, take it up with the author or find/create a display that works the way you want.
Oh, I know it's on a per-display-addon basis. I was just hoping for a "best practices" notice or somesuch...to be adhered to or not. Right now, it's just a potluck...though, the community is still relatively young and may adopt an unspoken standard based on user preferences in the long run.

And am right to assume that except for Gaius' CRT there is no other Mod out there to display a modular and lightweight text display?
I honestly have no idea. There are literally thousands of addons out there, and I've never had reason to look for anything like you're describing. What are you using it for? What would you use the DogTags LDB plugin for? Like I said, if it's something interesting I may pick it up myself.
Sep 26, 2008I was wondering if there was going to be "official" guidelines/suggestions for handling plugin registration. Most LDB displays seem to make the plugins child frames under the Blizzard options panel, which makes their sorting rely solely on load order. With a few handfuls of LDB feeds, this can be a nightmare to manage.Posted in: Data Broker AddOns
For example: Under StatBlockCore, if I wanted to change the font size or face of a particular feed, I would have to read the list line-by-line and hope I don't miss the addon I'm looking for.
ButtonBin handles its feeds a bit differently - they're located on the right side of the options panel after clicking on the Data Blocks child frame, and they are alphanumerically sorted (yay!). ButtonBin does not currently allow a per-feed configuration, so that panel simply has checkboxes enabling/disabling them. If it _did_ have per-feed configuration - given the limited space provided by Blizzard's UI - where would you select the feed and where would its configuration options be?
I use both addons I mentioned above: One to replace FuBar and the other to slap blocks of information in free-floating places. One is a nightmare to configure on the feed side. The other is a nightmare because I cannot configure the feeds.
Yes, these are design points for two different addons and are beyond the scope of what LDB does in of itself. I'm just concerned with the lack of a unified feed-handling methodology and/or mechanism in the LDB specification/community.

Just wanted to ask if there is a DataBroker plugin for DogTags?
Or another possibility for displaying customizable texts freely movable in the UI?
Sorry if I posted in the wrong forum -> just move ;)
Not at the moment, but OrionShock did write StatBlocks_DogTag for Funkydude's old StatBlocks system, which was replaced with StatBlockCore as an LDB display. Maybe he/someone will rework it. If I could think of something I'd use it for, I'd be willing to revive it as an LDB addon if Orion isn't up for it.

I tried the 22.214.171.124 version of the curse client and was very disappointed.
I had to select one addon after another and press update.. and there was a 4-5second timer before the update began. I have about 50 addons.. It will take ages to update all of them.
Is that the default behavior?
It is the default for non-Premium users, yes.

Right after I installed WAU and updated the addons i have, I always get an error dealing with AceLib. Can anyone help me?
We need to see what the errors are. It's impossible to operate on "This is broke plz fix!" :D

Gee thanks for your assistance. Real helpful of you.
Seerah was actually trying to be helpful about forum usage, albeit in a brisk manner. She might never have used DaHUD at all, and therefore wouldn't be able to help with _that_.

This is true, for main configs, not sub-configs.
Meh. You're right. I just re-read the post. Somehow it didn't gel before. Wishful thinking? :D
