Quote from LombraPlaying on the beta client, I've found that:
- I can't edit options for text alignment, time stamps and possibly more on the combat log, only the General chat frame.
- When using channel name abbreviations (rather than channel name replacement), a space is included after the [abbreviation], before [name]. There is no space using the regular channel name replacement. "Show space" is unchecked.
Also, could you add to some module, an option that will remove the space that is included before an inserted link?
Sorry for bumping my own post, but I still have these issues (and request) using r56.
Though the second issue I realised it's probably more like the "Show space" option is only being applied to channel name replacements and not channel abbreviations, which always have a space.
And while I'm at it, in a previous version I added "LFG" as a replacement for "LookingForGroup", but I can't find it anywhere now. Not in channel abbrevs, not in channel name replacements. The channel name is still being modified to "LFG", however.
Edit: It appeared later.. possibly after a relog, shouldn't it already have been there, though?
Enabling (in game) the Timestamps module causes the following (possibly more) message types to have their timestamp displayed twice:
- Creature say
- Channel (left, joined, etc - not chat messages)
- Loot (money and items)
Goes away as soon as you relog/reload.
Enabling the experimental module(s) causes the font shadow of the timestamps to disappear. It also adds an extra space after the timestamps.
Pre 3.0, locking chat settings in the Interface options disabled the chat frames' fade effect. It no longer does. Could such an option be included in some module?
Lastly, is every module really supposed to have its own profile as I've gotten the impression they do in the saved variables?
Edit: One more thing. The scroll down reminder button. It doesn't hide when you reach the bottom, not until you scroll down one more time, it just stops flashing. It also appears when you try to scroll up, but there's actually nothing to scroll. (eg, all the text fits into the chat frame currently)
