It tries to be clever and highlight what you need to pay extra attention to.
For example if the subzone your in is mentioned in the quest objectives, such as :
Bring Whatever to Whoever in Booty Bay, if your in STV it wont highlight, but if your in booty bay it will.

It'll also try highlight stuff where the zone is in the quest objectives if it's a quest from another zone.
Example : Which doctor whoever wants you to go to feralas to get X. (quest from tanaris), this will highlight if your in feralas.

I've tried like dang to turn this off, and now when one pops up I flip options until the highlight dies. Is there an option (or pending option) to disable this? And if not, eh, I'm requesting it. Heh.

With or without it, this is a great tracker.

I have a similar problem with the quest highlighting. I turned it off, but as soon as I get a new quest it starts highlighting again even tho it is disabled. I just set the alpha of the quest highlight color to invisible using the new coloring stuff so if it does turn itself back on, I don't notice. :)

In QuestsFu (which i have now replaced with nQL ^_^) and some other mods, when something is collapsed/hidden the indicator is a "+" and when things are open/visible the indicator is a "-". Currently nQL does this the opposite way ("+" for visible and "-" for hidden). It's not game- or mod-breaking, and may well just be personal preference...but possibly something to look at. I switched the values myself in core.lua at any rate.

One request (if I may): An option to get rid of the "/25" from the FuBar plugin text. I've done it myself already, but I think that some might like the option to just show the colored (or uncolored) number of quests they currently have...most people can probably remember that the max is 25 now.

A few things I'd love some help on

A : Where should options be, when you go look for a setting, do you find it where you expect to find it? Is the wording good enough for you to figure out what a setting does without turning it off and on again?
B : Do you use the smart quest objective tracking or was that the first thing you turned off? Does it do a decent job at showing you the objectives you want?
    - Should showing new quests objectives be default? (I think this is good for BC, and bad pre BC tbh, since in BC you get way less quests from an area).
C : What changes should I do to default settings, was there anything you immediately went in and changed?
D : What settings are redundant? I'm considering adding a "Show all settings" toggle, default to off, that hides the settings most users wouldn't ever use (so it'd be easier to find the settings you do use).

I think you're already aware, but when I try to change bg/border color, there is no alpha slider in the color picker that pops up...so I had to edit it in the savedvariables file (i just wanted it all transparent anyway). Another thing I noticed today is that if I unselect the "Hilight zone quest" thing, it doesn't un-highlight stuff until a reload, and then it re-highlights everything (despite being turned off) once I pick up a new quest. Also, why did you spell it correctly in the functions but different in the settings? That's just weird. :p

    As for your questions:

A: Everything was easy enough for me to figure out.
B: Smart quest tracking got turned off right from the start. I prefer the normal way.
C: Other than the above, I turned off the zone level display, notifications, and the "show quest progress" thing that was next to the quest names.
    D: n/a

Looking forward to that * for hidden quests in an area rather than the (8/8 visible) thing. Keep up the nice work! :)

posted a message on cyCircled - Circled buttons for more than just BT2
Now that I'm using a non-square cyCircled skin (much <3 for Hex90), I've noticed that after I click on an AutoBar button for the first time in a session, any subsequent mouseovers cause all of the buttons lose their mask (only while the mouse is over the button). They all look like big square icons with the cyC texture on top of them. If I go into the options and uncheck and recheck "high frame strata" it goes back to normal until I click a button again. This also happens with other non-square cyC textures (i guess the square ones make it less noticable). Any ideas on how to fix this? It's not gamebreaking, but it is ugly and annoying. :P

anyone else getting significant lag when you loot or enter/leave combat with autobar buttons enabled?

yes, also when you get something new to appear in autobar = 1sec freeze. But i guess its AB problem

    Quote from Kagaro »

hmm found the problem, ill see what can be done to fix it

Have you managed to fix it? I'm getting this now too, and it only happens if I use cyCircled on AutoBar. AutoBar by itself doesn't lag, and if I use cyCircled on BT3 but turn off the AutoBar support it is fine too.

Edit: I also notice that regardless if cyCircled is enabled or not, I can't change the display of AutoBar...clicking the radio buttons has no effect (though this is more an AutoBar problem, I thought it might be worth mentioning).

My mining notes are following me around on Azuremyst Isle (minimap only...they're correct on the worldmap). I checked to see if it was the same issue with TouristLib that Darkshore had, but I didn't see anything wrong. I updated all my addons and libraries a couple hours ago. Any ideas?

    edit: clarification

got another error playing on my priest today:

[2007/01/18 19:12:03-56-x52]: DrDamage-0.8.2\DrDamage.lua:1715: attempt to compare number with nil

    Thanks for the quick fixes!!

Open DrDamage.lua in a text editor capable of displaying line numbers. Scroll down to line 1715 and replace

    if buffTalentRank3 > 0 then

    with

    if BuffTalentRank3 > 0 then

and it will be fixed. :)

Sylv, your last commit to the SVN seems to have a problem. Every other mod I have updates fine, but I get

when I try to update Prat. This happens whether it is a revision update or a fresh checkout.

I seem to be having the opposite problem, just updated and no matter what I do I can't disable debuff highlighting. :|

I have that issue too. I turn it off because it is too distracting to me, and now despite being unchecked it is on again >.<

Is "Popup on Shift key" working for anyone?

I've deleted SV several times and tried with every single revision we've had. I just want to know if it's my conflict or if it was affecting everyone.

Popup on Shift doesn't work for me either.

I've also noticed that Show Category Icons no longer shows the category icons. With it checked, some of my buttons (the ones that would be showing category icons with the .. as the count) are completely blank or just show the button's background texture. If I uncheck it, it collapses all the buttons that *should* have category icons (because I have none of that item in my inv). The new itemcount on hearthstone/mount buttons is also annoying, but I'll deal because I like having the itemcounts on all the other buttons.

posted a message on ClearFont and ClearFont2 - Official thread
    Quote from Jakobud »

When you enter into a new territory, it will say the name of the territory, but sometimes the territory is a Horde or Alliance territory and it will say so in parenthesis. Those words "Horde Territory" or "Alliance Territory" do not seem to be affected by ClearFont. They are the original font face even though the other words around them are affected by ClearFont.

This is because the font reference is incorrect (it was wrong in the orignial clearfont too). Open Design.lua and change line 315 (the entry under Patch 2.0.1 Updates) from

    CombatLogFont:SetFont(NORMAL_TEXT_FONT, 22 * scale, "THICKOUTLINE")

    to

    PVPInfoTextFont:SetFont(NORMAL_TEXT_FONT, 22 * scale, "THICKOUTLINE")

and it will work again. Adjust the font used (normal, bold, italic) as you see fit.

If the author of Cartographer_Opening is reading this, the missing enUS locals are:

["UnGoro Dirt Pile"] = "Un'Goro Dirt Pile",
    ["UnGoro Soil"] = "Un'Goro Soil",

I added that to my lua file and it started marking dirt piles.
