May I ask if there is a built-in way or module, to filter auras on the target frame, so that all buffs and debuffs are displayed, except:
any buff/debuff from other friendly players
any long term buff or passive from the current player, e.g. Power: Word Fortitude, Mind Quickening, etc. if I'm on a Priest.
The intention is to remove all the "noise" without missing important information.
Some NPCs have self buffs or debuffs that for example increase or decreases the damage they take. But I cannot seem to find a way to make these buffs/debuffs visible, without also showing debuffs other players put on mobs.
Just a harmless bug report. Sorry if it came over as impatient or rude. It is meant constructive and helpful.
Using outdated addons that still work is business as usual. The list of examples would be too long to list here. :P
After installing Grid r1361, GridIndicatorText3 30300-4 and Ace2 standalone r1101, I get the following errors:
1x GridIndicatorText3-30300-4\GridIndicatorText3.lua:19: attempt to index field 'frameClass' (a nil value)
---
1x AceComm-2.0-91091 (Ace2):157: attempt to index local 'text' (a nil value)
AceComm-2.0-91091 (Ace2):2339: in main chunk
Of course I'm not bothered about the times long after content patches. But after comparing the dates of the release versions to other boss mods it seems I just had the wrong impression. The releases are indeed plentiful over the course of 3.3.x and I don't think we would need to rely on alphas at all.
That's all I need to keep nagging my raid leader to make the switch to BW for Cata.
I'm wondering why there seem to be never any beta versions or maybe a bit more frequent release versions. E.g. on Curse the latest release is over 2 months old but since then there are many alpha updates.
It makes the effort of trying to synchronize a guild of 30+ main raiders on the same BigWigs version so much harder, if you can only chose between the large gaps of the stable release versions or on the other hand the frequent alphas, which are updated sometimes numerous times each day and may or may not break the whole addon at times considering the nature of alphas.
It would be nice if there is something in between release and alpha versions, in order for a guild tackling heroic content to keep up to date with fixes concerning boss timers, warnings, etc..
When I disable Grid on an alt by unchecking Grid > Enable, the following Lua error occurs everytime I log on that alt:
1x GridIndicatorText3-30300-2beta\GridIndicatorText3.lua:98: attempt to index field 'text3' (a nil value)
AceAddon-2.0-91096 (Ace2):983: in function <Ace2\AceAddon-2.0\AceAddon-2.0.lua:976>
<in C code>: ?
AceEvent-2.0-91097 (Ace2):260: in function `TriggerEvent'
AceEvent-2.0-91097 (Ace2):910: in function <Ace2\AceEvent-2.0\AceEvent-2.0.lua:903>
It's a great addon to see if druid hots are active but it would be perfect if you could add cooldown and stack size to the icons like the Grid Center Icon. So it would be perfect for heal druids.
Any kind of feedback if this could be implemented? Would be awesome for HoTs and in conjuction with GridStatusRaidDebuffs, not just a nice to have ;D.
Version 30200-1-nolib (Released: 2009/08/05) produces the following Lua error although Dewdrop-2.0 is installed:
[2009/08/05 21:17:14-1424-x1]: AHsearch-30200-1\AHsearch.lua:51: Cannot find a library instance of Dewdrop-2.0.
Ace2-r1096\AceLibrary\AceLibrary.lua:490: in function `AceLibrary'

Please allow me 4 suggestions/questions to this awesome addon :)
1. How can I include the name of the target of the spell into a custom announcement?
2. Could you add the possibility to announce to a custom chat channel?
3. Could you add the possibility to announce to multiple chat channels at once? For example it could be useful to announce spells like resurrection and guardian spirit to the custom healer channel of the guild and to /raid at the same time.
4. An option to disable announces when in certain zones (e.g. Wintergrasp) would be very useful.
I have taken a look at the problem with ZOMGBuffs failing to switch templates automatically and I think I have fixed it. At least it works now for switching between solo/party. I haven't yet tried the other modes.
Many thanks, it is working like a charm for me now! :)
Now if only the pre-expiry rebuff setting could be included into the templates this would be the perfect buff mod for me as mage.
