Those are slated for review at a later date. The main impetus was getting the sites running with everything required to build new zips with the packager and the other most-used features. Project-level forums, while useful, were something that was only used by a small fraction of authors.
I would very much like to see the forms returning as soon as possible. TellMeWhen had a tremendous amount of user-created content in its forums, and all that data is now just gone. Is there any way at all to access the old forms, or are there any plans to stand up at least a read-only version of them until they are migrated to the new sites? I have several people already who are really disappointed to see that everything they've contributed to those forums over the years is now gone.
Just so everyone is aware no data has been lost internally. Any features that are missing from the site today that have data attached will be able to be brought back with all the legacy data.
I would also really like the forums brought back, preferably with all old posts still intact. I hadn't finished re-doing my UI, and now that the TMW forums are missing there are several icons that I can't find that were available on the forums, and it has a heavy negative impact on gameplay for me, very disappointed that the forums were not considered important enough to push with the initial re-design.
OMG forums need to come back!! It was a horrible thing to try and get to them but they were gone. I counted on them to help me when I couldn't get something to work right. Ok so my favorite place to lurk was the Tell Me When forums as there was always awesome info there for
A side note would be creating threads in the current forums for the projects, if it's even possible. Though I know this would be a drawback in having it start out with nothing but if push came to shove, just an idea.
Just chiming in here as well. (I had submitted a ticket and was directed here.) For me, the loss of data was a big deal, since I had one post in particular that represented years of information. Luckily, Google had a cache of it.
Short of having the forums back, being able to create a secondary Page within the add-on would be ideal. This is for a very long FAQ that my add-on Rarity needs. I don't want to put all the info on the main add-on page, but for now I think that's my only solution.

If this is true, can you please give the information to the dev so he can copy those examples over to somewhere else. the users of TMW relied on those examples to help get them started.

Very much this. I run a training guild and TellMeWhen is our go-to staple so that those learning can have the information they need to make the right choices. I'm shocked that it was removed.
I'm very disappointed by this, but understand why. I used to come to the TellMeWhen forums a lot and also posted some of my TellMeWhen Strings to help other players. Is there anywhere these are archived, that I can still view them online?
Hopefully they will return one day and to be honest, was the only reason I had curseforge on my favourites bar.
+1 came here as I've had to re-roll resto for Legion ... only to find the forums removed. Really hard to find examples elsewhere - google search leads you to WeakAuras all the time.
My huge support for the forums (personally for TellMeWhen). We had a wonderfully thoughtful group of contributors with examples to share especially when these new patches come out and we all need to share some head scratching. Thank you!
It would be good to see this back as information and examples cannot be found anywhere else.
If this will never be reconsidered please put all the examples and shared strings together for a download so people can continue to have a reference when changing toons, spec's or need a good refresher.
thank you.

+1. I used the TellMeWhen project forums to learn quite a few cool tricks.

+1. It's one of the best places to find TMW profiles.

You can create a page on your project: Go to Settings and check Enable Project Pages.
Thank you! It wasn't clear what that option did, so I hadn't tried it yet.

I NEED the forum. I was on my way there trying to find a way to track if pet has Auto Growl on. What do I do now?

How about turning this over to WOWDB OR WOWHEAD?
