After updating Grid today to version 5.3.0.1604, the 'indicators' function completely broke, all the options for the 'indicators' menu are gone, except for 'raid debuff'. Also, where raid frames used to be,now there's only black void. Also resulting to this chat message :

Posting "me too" over and over is not useful, and doesn't give me anything to work with. Please submit a bug report ticket or, if a ticket has already been submitted about the issue, post in the ticket if you have any information to add.
Same as kc2bc and granita, black square with a manabar :p
Also, if you see a mana bar, that means you are using a third-party plugin. Remember, third-party plugins are NOT officially supported. Any time you are having any issue, your first step should be to disable all third-party plugins and see if the issue is still there. If it's not, then it's probably caused by a plugin that hasn't been updated for changes in Grid, and you should report the problem to the plugin's author, not here.
FYI, I am not getting any errors, and I removed all other addons besides Grid (clique, perl, grid 3rd parties, etc) and the problem remains. Going back to .1600 works fine. Removing settings before and after .1604 doesn't help. Installing and re-installing Grid manually doesn't help.
There are a lot of people in trade chat on my server reporting the problem as well, so I suspect this is a widespread problem not easily pawned off on a 3rd party addon.
There's already an open ticket. Any additional info should go there, not in this forum thread where it will be immediately forgotten and never seen again.
Telling you to make sure the problem happens without plugins isn't an attempt to "pawn off" the problem. It's an attempt to avoid wasting hours of my life installing random plugins and trying to reproduce a problem that may not actually exist in any code I have any control over. You already have the plugin installed. It takes 30 seconds for you to make sure the problem isn't a plugin problem.
The newest version(1606) solved the blackness issue but the indicators seems to appear "behind" the health bars, ofc i turned off all my other addons just to make sure that isnt a plugin problem.
Grid indicators are still hiding behind the newer higher strata of the health panel making it very difficult to properly dish out battle rez's in world raids and the like.
Without more specific details I can't help you. Please double-check that you actually have the latest version, then post a proper bug ticket and fill in all of the info requested in the ticket form.
I feel silly asking questions when most everyone else seems to know code or has in-depth knowledge. I'm just someone who loves playing WoW, and likes Grid better than Healbot or anything else I've tried. When I go to add Wild Growth as a 'buff', it does not show up on my indicator list like it used to. Is there something I can do better to make this happen?
1. Go to Grid > Status > Auras.
2. Click in the "Add new Buff" edit box.
3. Type "Wild Growth".
4. Press the Enter key, or click the "Okay" button at the end of the edit box.
A button for Wild Growth appeared immediately in the "Delete Aura" section on the same options page, and a "Buff: Wild Growth" status appeared under "Auras" in the status list to the left.
If you are doing things the same way, but getting a different result, please try resetting your Grid profile or switching to a new clean one, on the Profiles options tab, and then try to add Wild Growth again. If you don't have the same problem, there was probably just some issue with data corruption in your old profile, and you'll need to re-do your settings on the fresh profile.
If you're doing something differently than the above, please be more specific about what you're doing, what you expect to happen at each step, and what does happen if it's different than what you expect.
I have all my debuff statuses set to show only dispellable, and for example the poison status activate when someone gets poisoned, but I can never dispel poisons as a priest. As far as I remember, Mass Dispel was implemented in the debuff statuses being able to dispel all debuff types.
Ah, okay. I've never played a priest; Mass Dispel was changed to a "dispell all the things" based on a post/ticket a few years ago, in which someone who did play a priest said that's how it worked. I'll change it back to Magic-only.
I have redone my UI to use Grid exclusively for my raid frames. Two things haunt me however: 1) Is there a way to get Grid to show the person's Role in the group so I can identify Healers and Tanks, 2) When someone dies, it just shows Dead and not the name so I have to mouse over each Dead name to find the person to brez.
I've poured over the in-game UI and I can't seem to find a way to do either and last resort come here for assistance. Thank you.
1) Use one of the several role-related status plugins available. Go to the linked page and search on the page for "role" to find them.
2) That's because you set the "Dead" status to display on the same indicator as the "Unit Name" status -- most likely the "Center Icon" indicator -- and since the indicator can only display one status at a time, and the "Dead" status has a higher priority, that's what it shows. If you want to see both at the same time, assign them to different indicators.
