i like this way of displaying auras ...
but i can't get this raidleader-icon etc to work ...
tried to add an aura for these ... well ... it didn't work at all
so please tell me how to set up a status for
- raidleader / assistant
- masterlooter
- pvp active
- in combat / out of combat
Ranyon: I think the current offset options are enough.
zyr: Sorry, but if you don't know how to setup a status to an icon indicator you should not use GridIndicatorCornerIcons! The status->indicator setup is absolute identical to the default Grid 'Center Icon'.
Like Phazar, I'd love your GridIndicator*Icons modules showed cooldowns and stack count like the middle icon. This could be very handy to show certain auras.
I know this post is old, but since this is the closest thing on the subject and there was some posts a week ago, I figure the question here makes sense.
I've taken a look around, but I haven't been able to find anything. Is there anything out there similar to this that adds a second indicator to each corner (possibly the sides/top/bottom as well), of the actual indicator box type? Not an icon. I can't recognize what the puny icons are from a glance because of the size of my frames, it would be nice if they could be indicators.
Ideally, I could put 4 indicators along the top left corner of each player, but 2 at the top left and 2 at the top middle would do. Unfortunately, using top left, middle left, top middle, and bottom left (or something like that) is ugly and doesn't give the same result.
I'm just surprised I can't find this mod in indicator form, I figured other people might want this more than the icons. :o

From the sounds of it thats not cutting it for you, so you should consider using Grid2. It is still in development, but it does let you place indicators anywhere.
Finally: what exactly are you doing? Is this for all 4 druid hots etc?

Paladin buffs. I don't like how PallyPower works at all. I've tried it multiple ways with every single way of setting it up (which doesn't give a lot of options), and I still hate it.
A simple colored dot for each buff in the corner of the grid would be nicer for me. Something like Pink for Wisdom, Blue for Sanctuary, Grey or White for Kings, and a pale Yellow for Might is what I had in mind.
I'm looking forward to Grid2 when it's finished, but since the above post I decided it's probably just best to suck it up and use PallyPower until that time.
Edit: Actually, what you linked is amazing. Whenever I looked up corner indicators, I only seemed to find icon ones. Not sure how I missed that one. Thanks. o.O
I'm using the r41 release of GridIndicatorCornerIcons with the latest release of Grid (I believe it's the r1293 release). Since installing the latest version of Grid I'm getting errors that the GridFrame and GridStatus globals aren't recognized.
The error thrown was from line 14 of the GridIndicatorCornerIcons.lua. When I looked at how it was defined in other working mods, I found that there is a difference in the call. I modified the lua on my machine to verify that this was the error.
This change corrected the error I was getting for unrecognized GridStatus.
I also added the line
local GridFrame = Grid:GetModule("GridFrame")
and this corrected the error I was getting for unrecognized GridFrame.
I was also getting this with:
GridStatusRaidIcons
GridIndicatorSideIcons
GridIndicatorCornerPlus
I made the same corrections to their lua files with the same positive results.
These are great addons to Grid and I absolutely love them! I couldn't find a way to ticket this problem directly to your project - so I'm posting it here in hopes you find it! I'm still not over the loss of GridStatusLineofSight :-( I'd hate to lose these too!
I know you already said that you don't want to add stacks/duration to the cornericons plugin ,but I would really like to see those added, so thought I would leave a word. As it is, things like GridIndicatorSideIcons do add duration, but I've been used to using those for a different purpose.. i really feel that the upside of using something like icons instead of an indicator square is to be able to add things like duration (as well as being more easily recognizable, of course).. so I would love it if you would reconsider that, seeing as it is something people can choose or choose not to use depending on whether they check "show duration" for the aura..
I second that - I mean it is already there in the side indicator module also made by you (great work btw *g*). If these icons get the same options as the side ones it would be perfect (stacks, CD-spiral, colored border). And it would be up to the user to overwhelm themselves with input. ^^
Seriously: I think it would be very useful to have the options to customize the corner icons like the side icons.
No matter what you do let me thank you for the addon/plugin, it is very useful for me and I rely on the addon authors because I am not good at coding - I tend to break stuff if I try... ;)
EDIT:
Oh I saw you did it - thank you very much for your time, your plugin fits exactly my needs now. Keep up the good work, kunda!
Just tried this out today its pretty cool, but it doesn't seem to show the cooldown like it does on the config mode.
Do you use a status that provides start and duration?
Example: If you use a standard Grid Aura you need to enable 'Show duration' in that aura configuration.
DESC: Adds two icon indicators to each corner in each Grid frame (total: 8 icon indicators).
DOWNLOAD: http://www.wowace.com/addons/grid-indicator-corner-icons/files/
OPTIONS: Frame -> Advanced -> Icon (Corners). (Independent Options!)
Please don't bother the Grid Authors Pastamancer & Maia if you have a problem with this addon!!!
Please only use this indicator if you NEED it!!!
Please only use this indicator if you know how to setup your Grid!!!
If you are new to Grid: DO NOT USE THIS ADDON!!! Grid itself has all you need when you start using Grid.
Enjoy!
kunda
