Status: GridStatusMTs DESC: Adds Blizzard, oRA2, oRA3, CT_RA MainTank or Dungeon Finder Tank icon (shield or MT, 1, 2 ... 10) or text (MT or MT1, MT2 ... MT10) status to Grid. DOWNLOAD:http://www.wowace.com/addons/grid-status-mts/files/
Status: GridStatusThreat DESC: Adds a simple threat status to Grid. DOWNLOAD:http://www.wowace.com/addons/grid-status-threat/files/ USE: 'Threat': any indicator expect icon or text indicator | 'Threat: Text': text indicator NOTE:
Two separate statuses: Status 'Threat':
This will show three customizable colors depending on the threat that group-/raidmember has on his target.
Only threats >= 50% are shown:
1st color: 50% - 70% | 2nd color: 70% - 90% | 3rd color: >90% | 4rd color = aggro color = 100%
AGGRO resp. aggro color is defined with standard Grid module GridStatusAggro (GridStatusAggro.db.profile.alert_aggro.color) ... so don't disable or delete that module.
100% threat = aggro! Status 'Threat: Text':
Threat text display as additional status.
eg: '95%' means player has 95% threat.
Please only use this indicators/statuses if you NEED it!!! Please only use this indicators/statuses if you know how to setup your Grid!!!
If you are new to Grid: DO NOT USE THIS ADDONS!!! Grid itself has all you need when you start using Grid.
kunda, without having run your modules yet, I think these are great additions to Grid. Personally I look forward to testing your threat module. In any case, no matter if they are stable or not, please upoad them to the SVN - that's what the SVN is made for :)
I tried them and they are great. Small bug for me in the MT Icons localisation though as both enUS and deDE have ["MTs"] = true which seems to cause a problem (I got it working but not sure if it was the right solution).
My plug in is, erm, slighty odd and allows you to enter custom abbreviations so you can have, say, a players called "JeanLucPicard" appear as "JLP" or "Luc" and not "JeanL" or "Jea". Someone on here wrote the hard bits for me :-)
After raiding with the Threat module I can only suggest to change the default colors to dark orange/orangeish-yellow/yellow-greenish as they can then be used with the aggro indicator, which defaults to red (I think). Then you'll end up with a gradient red to yellow indicating aggro and threat.
Oh, even though having threat as additional module can offer additional UI status display options, I wonder if it wouldn't be better to merge it with the aggro module and move this functionality to the core. Grid is already too complicated as is, so why not try to make the configuration as easy as possible.
Got an error when loading grid with the MT status module:
[2007/10/01 19:54:22-648-x1]: GridStatusMTs\GridStatusMTsLocal-enUS.lua:7: AceLocale(GridStatusMTs): Can only accept true as a value on the base locale. "deDE" is the base locale, "enUS" is not.

notrachel & tauranion: I fixed the toc in GridStatusMTs. Should now work.

That's why I made it customizable, but default colors can change. I tested with different colors, the colors I used for default are clearly recognizable for me...hmm depends on settings and may be some kind of color blindness. Can you give me rgb codes?
One additional note: I think it is not a good idea to use the same indicator for aggro and threat. For me it is better recognizable if I use border for threat and default upperleft corner for aggro.

Merge with aggro module...I don't know, it's up to you and Pastamancer, if you want to do it, it's ok.
Have used the raidicons, MTs and text3 indicators intensively yesterday when downing Al'ar for the first time for my guild and it worked perfectly. The raidicons are very useful to make sure tanks and DPS are on the correct target, while combining MTs with Earth Shield indicators makes my life as healer more easy. I hope these things get integrated into Grid since it makes Grid 100% more useful for me.
Lol.. how Ironic. Yesterday I just went ahead and fulfilled my long lasting dream of a CenterText3 and created my own addon for it (my very first addon as well). And now I find this:D.
I haven't been able to try your version yet(work), but where does your Center Text 3 get placed currently?
I'll make sure to download this tonight as the other indicator/statuses sound very usable as well
first of all thx both for the ideas of these addons and their completion. Great work on these modules i was waiting for (GridIndicatorText3 & GridIndicatorSideIcons).
I just find it annoying that the center text 3 overwrites both center text 1 & 2. I don't know if it'd be possible to drag up and down a bit 1 & 2, or to pinpoint me which values to change.
All 6 modules are now available from files.wowace.com.
@Piaf: GridIndicatorText3 is still under construction (anyway I submit it to svn). This module currently works only if you enabled Text2 and if you use vertical alignment (if Text2 is disabled Text1 and Text3 are at the same position...well that could be useful at some point but is not intended). It mainly depends on your frameHeight and fontsize setting. Text3 should be between Text1 and Text2 in the center-middle.
kunda, a small note regarding the threat module: I recently realized there's little value in an indicator for threat below 80ish% (well, thats obviously a personal view). While you can make the colors for each threat status transparent, the indicators will still be shown - as "empty" box, aka still with the black outline. Also, there's no way to define the thresholds.
If me lazy guy had written the threat module, I would have simply added one indicator and an option to define the threshold. Now as you've added three, it's slightly more complicated, so I don't exactly know what to suggest configuration-wise. It doesn't feel perfect to have three threshold settings and three enable/disable settings, one for each status. But if you ever consider to reduce the complexity to only one indicator, well, you now know which feature I'd like to see ;)

sorry. but I don't know exactly if I understand what you mean. If you mean the default threat percentage (50%/70&/90%): from the begin I tried to make that values customizable, that worked good, but I had problems with the tooltip update (I want the tooltip to reflect that changes, but it doesn't worked so I just hardcoded that values)...I try to change that
