Also, is there any way to implement limit number of pets? I use fixed size Grid 5x5 for raid members + 5 pets now with new Grid. If more then 5 pets are in raid, Grid automatically expands and I don't like that, since it doesn't fit my UI anymore.
i have since Version 58645 a Problem with the left Mousebutton. I have Clique configured that it will cast Renew Rank 10 bei clicking this button. I also tryed max rank and it don?t works. I have tested all Version between 58645 to 59029 and no one of this Versions works with the left Mousebutton. The Version 57348 works without any Problems.
It looks like the main problem is that GridStatusHots only sends status updates as text. It never sends a numerical status update for each HoT, so it can't be applied to a progress bar indicator. If I can figure out how to change that, we may be in business ;)
Getting over the lua/ace/grid learning curve. There seems to be some snags in the information loop preventing me from getting what I want. GridStatusHots probably could send both the timeleft and max duration of the hots down to an indicator in the value, max parameters.
I wondered why the default buff/debuffs of grid don't send anything like this already. The culprit seems to be SpecialEvents-Aura-2.0. Some requirement about being backwards compatible it does not use the newer GetPlayerBuff to retrieve the left and duration information, instead it uses an older set of api calls to get most of the same information.
from SpecialEvents-Aura-2.0.lua line 276
-- Honest, there is no guaranteed correlation between the
-- result of GetPlayerBuff and the index used by UnitBuff.
-- GetPlayerBuff sucks, but we need it for backwards
Were it not for this I suspect grid would already be sending current/max duration information down to it's indicators.
First solution I see is to use a custom status module like GridStatusHots rebuilt to handle status durations. A more comprehensive solution would be to rebuild Grid to send aura durations by itself either using a SpecialEvents-Aura-2.0.lua corrected to expose the needed information or doing without that library.
I've been having trouble with Grid since the pet layout was merged in. Last night with r59048, I had the game DC a couple of times in Gruuls.
Today after clicking to show pets, I started D/C'ing everytime a hunter landed or started flying and the layout attempted to change for their pets popping in or out. ie. the game would close to the external error reporter. This was in a party group and was happening when folks were in or out of range.
I attempted to turn off the pet options, but because of the constant disconnects, the changes were not saving. I finally reverted to r57348.11. I'm still getting the occasional nil value error. But am not disconnecting so far.
I'm running Bigwigs r59126, oRA2 r59090, Clique r92, and PallyPower r59082 along with Grid. No other mods.
The error is almost always a Sigbus error.
I recall Maia suggesting it was a graphics problem and I'm willing to concede that this is a possibility. I'm on a Mac with a Radeon 9600 Pro graphics card with limited upgrades available. (the only card available was buggy and is now discontinued since AMD bought ATI). So at this point in time, the video card upgrade isn't a viable solution.
I'm just curious why this combination of mods is forcing this error, when it did not do this before the 2.2 patch.
Is there a work around ? I really don't want to go looking for new mods as I like the Grid+Clique combination.
Holypally, I hope you're reporting the sigbus errors via the reporting tool - I'm unsure if they are aware the bug isn't completely fixed yet. You could try to lower the audio settings, as the sigbus error usually shows up if the bus between memory and CPU can't handle the load.
Got this in Shadow Labs last weekend. Healthbar didn't update and the dead on text 2 didn't show. No errors - bugsack clear. Hasn't happened before or since. Might've just been a fluke, but just in case...
Apologies if this was addressed already in this thread, searching didn't return anything.
I have the center icon set to show debuffs, with UA as highest priority. I noticed sometimes there is for example a Drain Life debuff, then I select the player in question and there is no Drain Life. However Grid will keep showing the debuff for another 1-2 seconds.
This might be happening all the time, though I only notice it sometimes.
Is there a delay between debuff gain/fade and the center icon display?
I'm gonna quote myself on this, because I still have this problem and no idea what to do to get rid of it. My guess is that SpecialEvents-Aura is acting up, but maybe there's something else. Any ideas?
