First off - this mod rules! I've eliminated the need to use 3 other mods by using Grid!
Couple questions though
- When I login - the buffs that I currently have do not appear on my Grid Frame. I actually have to reapply a buff for the status indicator to update. Is this a bug or just working as designed?
- Does grid require any addon from other party members. Periodically I get a part member who's status indicator for Fortitude won't appear - even though everyone else in my party has been buffed and is correctly appearing in my grid setup.
I was just wondering exactly what I need to change in the LUA files to alter the distance for the alpha frame change out of range check. I would like the frame to gray out at 40 yards. Currently it happens at about 28 yards. The only thing I saw was in the GridRange.lua where it sets ranges to 10, 28, and 100. I changed the 28 to a 40 and reloaded everything to no avail. The GridStatusRange.lua seems to have a range check that is hard coded at 40, however, mine still grays at 28, so I'm confused at exactly what I need to change to make the frame alpha grey out at 40 yards instead of 28. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
I've searched this thread as thoroughly as I can and I don't see an answer to my question, so I apologize in advance if this has been asked/answered previously.
If you don't have any beneficial spells with a 40yd range, then you cannot check to see if someone is 40yds away from you. If you do have at least one beneficial spell with a 40yd range, then it will be used. Turn on debugging for GridRange and then '/script GridRange:ScanSpellbook()' to see what spells are being used to detect ranges.
My Grid dont update healthbars. Maybe its same with agro mark and something else too, dont know. If I dispell magic, it seems to be updated at once. I have tried to find help from some other forums, check updates daily and downloaded them if available. Problem started couple of weeks ago.
Its terrible to raid as healer without working Grid... So I downloaded BugSack and !BugGrabber today and went to AV to to get error message and report my bug propelly with ticket.
Healthbars still not updating. But there are no error! Its not bug in Grid or any other addon... Whats wrong? What to do to find solution? Anyone have any idea? Im hopeless. Using WoW-enEU, updating it with Blizz launcher. All addons are updated.

The solution is to not set statuses like aggro, target, etc. on the health bar.
Nah, saw that already before. It was more simpple: I deleted all Saved Variables from Wow folders - problem gone. But tnx for fast reply <3 I have been so desperat. And tnx for exellent addon!
There is a conflict with the PerfectTargets add-on, if you have that one. It's still a beta, so maybe things will get better, or maybe the 'load-on-demand' stuff that PT uses breaks Grid's own links to its libraries.
For now, my hunter has PT, and my priest, Grid, which is a bit less than optimal since my hunter has to check for any wandering aggro in toonworld, but then again, I already have a very wandering pet out there to watch over :-p
First of all, thanks for this awesome addon, i can't live without it!
Secondly, i have a problem; Some weeks ago i decided to configure grid a bit, changing colors, size etc. However, something went wrong and debuffs stopped showing completely. I tried unticking and ticking them on/off at center icon, right, left, bottom and top icons but still i couldn't see any debuffs. After that i wiped my whole addon folder, WDB & WTF folders and finally got grid working again. BUT once again i changed grid's size a bit, center texts and changed debuffs to show on top right corner instead of center icon and turned off everything useless(like curse & poison debuffs, since i'm a priest). Now i'm having the same problem again; debuffs are not shown anywhere, even if i turn them on.
On PTR 2.1, while doing performance analysis on my mods, I noticed an unusual memory increase from Grid. If it's intentional, no need to read on.
I'm on my rogue, not in group, using default Grid settings, and doing nothing but sit in a corner watching numbers. In about 10-15 mins, Grid gradually gained a total of 300 KiB and kept going. Haven't paid much attention in groups or in combat.
I only have three libraries that are still embedded with Grid: CastCommLib, UTF8, and Banzai-1.1. Since I am assuming no special events are firing (I'm doing nothing), I searched for metro functions. I'm guessing it's either GridStatusRange, the onupdate function in CastCommLib, or some template. Again, if it's intentional, it's no biggie.
Edit: Scratch out CastCommLib, the onupdate function seems to be commented out.

I wouldn't worry about it. If you feel like doing more testing, Banzai, UTF8, and CastCommLib can run standalone.
I'm unable to find how to change the default alpha, such that all the frames are somewhat transparent, not just ones that are oor or dead. Seen ss of such, and would like very much instructions.
(Yes, I've searched these forums, and rtfm, and if it's in a terribly obviously place I apologize).

is there a possibility (code changing is also ok) to set a value for minimum health deficit text, e.g. if a raidmember has a health deficit of more than 1.5k, grid will start showing the text

You can set the threshold based on health % but not absolute values.

Could I request an absolute value feature be added? I like people to be topped off in a raid, but often I consider 85% of a warrior much different than 85% of a mage.

This already exists, basically.
Grid -> Status -> Health -> Health deficit -> Health threshold -> Set the thresold to something like 99 or 100.
Now, as soon as someone takes even a small amount of damage you'll see the amount missing.

Right but see, If my heal hits for an average of 1200, I'd want to know when someone has lost only 1200 hp. I can't do this however because 99% to a warrior is much different than 99% to a mage. Know what I mean?
is there anyway to set the size you want the box to be no the scale of the buttons? I Was just curios because I am setting up panels an dI would like to just give the height/width of the box not have it be done by scale.

Do you not have the Health deficit turned on?
Grid -> Frame -> Center Text (or Center Text 2) -> Select Health deficit
This is an example with the Health threshold set to 100 and with the Health deficit set to Center Text 2:

There is no option to configure that.
