Ok, seriously. The SecureTemplates.lua bug has been happening since 2.0. I don't want to hear about it because it's entirely within Blizzard's code. It's also entirely harmless and can be safely ignored.
If you want it fixed, I posted about it on the UI forums way back in January. Make some noise there and maybe we'll see something happen.
i want to ask, is it possible to see tool tips on icons i set up to show up when debuffed?
not to shaft grid, but x-pearl is setup for me at least to only show buff/debuffs that i can despell and it does show the tool tip of the debuff, i think thats what ur looking for?
hi. i got a question...i dont have incoming heals! i mean not only i dont see incoming heals on grid but i dont even have option to set it couse 'incoming heals' is not on the list frame > bottom left for example . now thats strange : my friend is using exatly SAME version of grid..and he has incoming heals option to be set up in frame...what can possibly couse this issue? could other addons / lack of some lib couse this?
Check if CastCommLib is in Grid\libs\CastCommLib its used for the incoming heals.
eww CastComLib - it's old and trashie and should be done away with, the new API includes the cast duration as part of the args and shouldn't need to be spammed over the addon chl

The new API doesn't include who is being targetted by the spell for anyone but the player him/herself, and since both click-casting mods and mouseover macros tend to be quite popular for healing you can't rely on who a unit has targetted either.

But X-Perl doesn't have all of the benefits that Grid does. What uaxli was looking for is to show the tooltip for the debuff icon that shows in the center.
I would like to have Prayer of Mending tracker in my Grid, plz. Totally addicted to Grid btw, tnx a lot <3
Create a new buff filter for it and an indicator. That's what I did and it works great.
That's what I did too. Also, I decreased it's priority, since it'll be initially set at 99 priority. I wanted debuffs that I can cure or need to heal/react to showing up first. Grid is my must have for healing. Bongos, Clique and Grid I can't live without for raiding, everything else can fall by the wayside.
Hello. First off, don't blame me if it was already asked (and clearly described), I tried to search for similiar question, however I didn't found.
I like Grid, but I can't force anyone in my guild to use it as well. Is there any way to recieve information who they are healing and display such a information in Grid? Thank you.

If I recall correctly, Grid tries to gleam information about heals from other people in your group. I want to say it scans the combat log, but don't quote me on that. Short of more people using Grid in your group, I think that you will have to live with Grid's "best guess."

I believe if you install the incoming heals lib, you will show up in grid when you heal.

I was just wondering exactly what I need to change in the LUA files to alter the distance for the alpha frame change out of range check. I would like the frame to gray out at 40 yards. Currently it happens at about 28 yards. The only thing I saw was in the GridRange.lua where it sets ranges to 10, 28, and 100. I changed the 28 to a 40 and reloaded everything to no avail. The GridStatusRange.lua seems to have a range check that is hard coded at 40, however, mine still grays at 28, so I'm confused at exactly what I need to change to make the frame alpha grey out at 40 yards instead of 28. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
I've searched this thread as thoroughly as I can and I don't see an answer to my question, so I apologize in advance if this has been asked/answered previously.

Isn't that possible with GameTooltip:SetUnitDebuff("unitId",buffIndex[, raidFilter]) ?
It's not quite that simple due to how Grid abstracts statuses and indicators.
It may have to wait for a rewrite of Grid's internals.
Think its for Grid Modules request, to be something like GridStatusHots

Pastamancer, someone posted a possible solution on your wow.com nil bug thread if you want to check it out.
Ah, except it isn't. The poster misread my post.
Huh? Did I miss something?

Ah, OK... seems to be a Blizzard bug. Maybe they fix it in 2.1.
