Since the patch my Grid is snapping to the top of the screen as soon as I try to move it around the screen. This behaviour can only be fixed when I move the frame during combat, then they keep still where i release my mouse. If I touch them again out of combat, bang! the frame jump up to the top of the screen again.
Anyone else encountered that and has a fix for it?
Tried every built since patchday, happens in all of them.
I am using Trinity bars and had the same problem. I fooled with the frame settings location something or other and when I set it to LEFT or BOTTOM or something then it started to behave normally. Sorry I don't have the details, but suffice it to say that I have both Trinity and Grid working simultaneously w/o a problem.
Rather than see the debuff indicator overwritten by an abolish indicator, in this situation I would prefer to see no indicator
how about you make the abolish indicator black (or dark grey) so it overwrites the bright green poison icon with the background color, effectively turning it back off again.
hi.
could you help me with following problem. i can`t set up message about incoming healing.
both my brother and I have last version of grid. When in party he is casting any healing spell i don`t see message about incoming heal. Same when i`m trying to heal him. Only when i`m using power word heal, i can see message about incoming heal on all party members.
I'm sorry this is not the right place to post, but I've been trying to do it on the "request page" without luck for the past two days :-/
1- Pets: As a priest, I heal pets. Often. Especially in groups of five, or raids of 10, but oftentimes in raids of 20 or 40 also. Could we see the pets, hunter's, lock's... in Grid, as a separate class, and in a different color and column ?
2- Could we have an "in your list" aura, where we can manually edit a list of players, and any player in that list gains the aura ? That's a quick and dirty way to highlights a healer's "main cares".
3- Instead of repeating our own group, could we not just highlight it in some way, to save screen estate ?
Grid rocks ! I'm currently "selling" it to my guildies, they love it :-) Congrats and thanks !
The second line of text is a very useful modification :-)
Good work with grid :D
I use grid in conjunction with clique and i found this combo very powerfull :)
However there is a way to hide the background frame of grid? not only the alpha=0% thing, because when i click with my right mouse button to rotate the view i found that i can't because there is the background frame of grid
- Is there any way to show my own Renew buffs differently than other priests' ? I'm not good at counting to 15 mentally for 5-6 people at the same time :-p it would help tremendously to know which people have MY renew, and which have somebody else's, so that I can cast appropriately, since Renews are now stackable.

Is there any way to get the indicators to display differently for auras you have placed on a target then for those placed by others? Specifically Heals over Time, now that they stack, I would like to have separate indicators for other druid's Rejuvenation spells and my own Rejuvenation casts. Is this possible within the current framework or would a separate module have to be made?
This is not possible, and can not be created. As far as your client is aware, there is no difference between the HoT you cast and HoT other player has cast. This information is kept server-side.
If all you want is to track your Renew on people, you might want to take a look at HotCandy.
With the help of Maia I was able to get it split into 2 columns, however you'll notice that the groups aren't setup together in the columns (see picture below). I'd also like to be able to add a seperator in between each group in the column. Is this possible?
I modified the Onyxia lua to achieve the above as follows:
GridLayout:AddLayout(L["Onyxia"], {
        [1] = {
            groupFilter = "1,3,5,7",
        },
        [2] = {
            groupFilter = "2,4,6,8",
        },
    })
I wonder if in the group configuration we can not see the groupe number somewhere? It really could be helpfull. Because, I will try to setup a mod to select target with combo keyboard shortcut (Ex: to target the 4th player of the groupe 5, just hit F5 (5th group) then F4 (4th player)) and to see the group quickly could help (I don't like using the mouse.

i got a layout idea, ill post later.
it's basically the way "perfectraid" does it's layout.. but then sequential instead of vertical, with custom rows / columns.
and a # of debuffs you can show.
ill try to make a more visual representation of it later.

basically. when sorting the list by class it currenly looks like:
WWWWWW
PPP
RRRR
HHHHH
LL
DDD
now. that causes you to have a lot of blank space.
it'd be nice if you could tell the new layout in grid to compress it to X rows, or X columns, and ignore linebreaks.
it'd then look like this, if you set it to 4 cols:
WWWW
WWPP
PRRR
RHHH
HHLL
DDD
I tried adding another Layout the other night, but apparently its not as easy as just copy pasting the ony block of text, renaming the new one and changing the filters as I was hoping it would be.
The wikki only tells the story about how GridLayout:AddLayout has to look like, but how to I get Grid to see and use my new Layout I put into GridLayoutLayouts.lua ?
I've skimmed through a few pages and didnt see this so sorry if I am being blind.
Is it possible to have grid collapse empty groups? For example, using a group by class layout, a Row/Column should just be collapsed, and not just a blank row, if there are no raid members of that particular class.

agree with you there.
currently under the sort by group, a horde guild won't have any paladins in the raid yet,
means you have 1 empty row.
would be lovely if that could be compressed down under that layout mode.
(Won't be needed in the layout idea that i'll post within the next few days though)

hope that's clear. ?
It was said a few page earlier that you can't do it with the securetemplate.
I just wanted to thank you guys for Grid, it is pretty spectaculaaaaarrrr!
Is there a way to quickly switch the raid layout from say 40person mode to 15person mode without going through the menu? I suppose I could setup a macro for it, but maybe the fubar control could be setup with an active tooltip that let's you quickly switch between the layouts?
** Whenever I go link dead while in a raid, one of two things happen when I re-enter the game:
- All group frames overlap one another. Toggling the layout to something different and then back again usually fixes it.
- No unit frames display at all. A /console reloadui is necessary to fix it.
** Rejuvenation (a druid spell) is listed by default as a buff for priests. I am unable to remove it.

Is anyone else getting the error below? I've been getting it for a while (since WoW 2.0.1) and I update through SVN daily, but it's not fixed yet so I'm getting worried if something else is causing it.

Trinity Bars is doing something bad to Grid.

Also when I learn a new profession or anything like that.
I forgot to screeny it will do that when I am home again ;)

Grid preferences that would be needed:
# Rows (1-40)
# Cols (1-40)
# Cell Height (10-100)
# Cell Width (10-100)
# Debuff Count (1-10)
# Healthdirection (left,right,up,down)
# GroupSorting (class-sequential, class-sorted, group)
ill try to make a more visual representation of it later.
