Heya first of all cheers for a great addon :)
I've got a question which probably has been answered before but I just can't be bothered to look through more than 100 pages :P
Basically I want to know if it's possible to change the background colour of the frame to something more greyish. The second from the right in the bottom row is a good example for it.
I have the same problem with my Grid frame. Is this acknowledged as a bug or is there an option to correct this behavior?
After playing around with it more I've found that using the layout anchor "BOTTOMLEFT" is the only one that will save my position correctly. And the position is always off by Spacing * 3 using any other setting. Deleting my saved settings in the WTF folder and starting over did not help. This only started happening when I updated after the 2.4 patch.
As stated in my post, neither of these 2 range-related options exists in my Grid (latest version, reinstalled, saved var wiped).
You said "Out of Range", which was the name of the old, single-range system option; with no other information, I assumed that you'd just now updated to the new multiple-range system, which would result in there no longer being an option entitled "Out of Range". If you are looking for the new options and they aren't there, you'll have to wait for Pasta or Jerry to come up with something for you.

Today I upgraded Grid to the latest version, r70310, and now my raid layout no longer displays. Only a little [] box does, as if it was using a layout for 0 people. However, my layout settings are "Group by 40" and "Auto Size Raid Frame", meaning it auto-sizes up to 40, which it did before.
Grid does not have an "Auto Size" option. Try disabling whatever third-party plugin you're using to give you that option; if that solves the problem, you'll need to report the issue in the plugin's thread.

Hi.. I also had a 3rd-party addon for autosizing. Disabling it made no change to the fact that I still only see the crosshair (which I can make larger), but I can't see myself or group or raid members.
You said "Out of Range", which was the name of the old, single-range system option
By the way, why would someone want more than one range? Maybe my view is limited as I only play a priest and prefer using 40yrds for everything, but I always thought a single range plus a slider that lets you choose which range you want (28,40,100) should be enough for everyone, and is less confusing than the multi-range...

You're right, it was one of the 3rd-party Grid Addons that was causing this. However, it was not AutoSize, which would seem like a possible culprit, as it's related to the GridFrame display. Rather, it was ExtraBar, which makes little sense. I guess, after these latest changes to Grid regarding the Frame display, something in ExtraBar caused that to bork, though I can't imagine what. By the way, here's an SS of what the GridFrame looks like if ExtraBar is enabled.
This is not a bug in Grid; it sounds like your settings are not being correctly saved. Have you tried deleting your Grid saved variables and reconfiguring it? Also, make sure you're using the correct anchor settings. To control the placement of the entire frame, use the "Layout Anchor" setting. To control how groups are placed relative to each other inside the frame, use the "Group Anchor" setting.
Yes I deleted the Grid saved variables. The problem still persists.
My guess is that the coordinates are changed after load so that the whole frame fits onto the screen but that it assumes that the frame needs more space than it acutally does.

ExtraBar is obsolete and should no longer be used. It really should be removed from SVN.
Reporting the same problem with GridExtraBar. It turns Grid into a single tiny square. Removing the GridExtraBar addon resolved the issue (I don't even remember what extrabar does anymore).
Thanks for this addon, it is really fantastic. All pet classes have praised the day you integrated the pet mod as well :)

Ok, thank you. Just bizarre that no matter how many times I reinstall, I don't have any of the range-related options (such as the ones you mentioned).

Its already deleted in the svn, but I guess most people have missed that they can delete it now.
edit: I just saw that i only removed the lua and toc file from the svn, which actually makes sense because this way everyone who updates it gets an empty GridExtraBar. Which makes me wonder how it still can be active at some people.

I don't know; the first thing I did was disable everything but 40 yards. Previously, I can understand the desire for a range indicator for cleansing spells as well as healing spells, but now that cleansing spells have a 40-yard range, it seems fairly pointless.

If you deleted the .toc and .lua from the SVN, people who don't have a "delete before extracting" option enabled in their updater will just keep using their old files, since there is no longer anything overwriting them. The best option is probably to leave the .toc intact, and change the .lua to just print a message on login advising users that the addon no longer does anything and should be deleted.

I think it was used by an old "incoming heals" plugin, but since this functionality is now included in Grid, there's no need for a plugin to create the "extra bar" indicator.
I've got a couple things I'm wondering about Grid. So far it's been awesome, and I really love it healing on my resto druid. However there's one thing that seems to need to be fixed for me, and one that I just need to figure out what's happening.
First, needs to be fixed. When I enter an AB and there's like 6-9 people it shows two rows like it should, but if we make it past 10 it doesn't add in another row showing the thrid group in the raid. This seems like something I messed up in the configuration, so if you can think of a reason it would do this, let me know. If I /realodui then it goes exactly how it should. So it's not a huge problem, just a minor inconvenience.
Second thing! A dinging noise. It's like the noise at an Auction House, so I'm guessing it's an alert of some sort, but I'm not sure how to check which alerts would have audio representation.
If you could answer either of these, I would really appreciate it! Thanks!

Grid itself does not have any kind of audio alerts; the only thing I know of that does is the third-party GridAlerts plugin. If you just mass-downloaded Grid and all available plugins without reading their descriptions, you probably have a lot of other plugins that duplicate functionality and/or are known to cause performance or compatibility issues. Try disabling all of them and then selectively re-enabling only the ones you find actually add something you need.
Since a few updates ago, the following error started happenning and now my grid doesn't save its location on screen (every time I logout, it resets to a X position in my screen behind my bartender bars). I have tried deleting my wtf saved variables and uninstalling and reinstalling the mod, but the error is still there. Also, when I try to save a profile or switch profiles, the following error is displayed:
Well, you have several Grid plugins that overlap functionality and are known to conflict with each other. GridDynamicLayout, GridoRA2Layouts, and GridStatusMTs will all conflict with each other trying to control the layout; pick one and get rid of the others. GridStatusIncomingHeals and GridStatusIncomingHealth provide identical functionality, which also happens to be functionality included in the Grid core addon now anyway, so you can get rid of both. After you've fixed those issues, try disabling all your remaining plugins and see if you still have the problem.
Has anyone put together a mod that will just show the number of debuffs/buffs the target has? Nothing fancy just a little number inside the center icon like many other ui's do. I just installed this grid raid debuffs thing but it seems to add a whole new indicator to count down the numbers. I haven't gotten to use it in a raid yet so still not sure exactly how it will work out.

GridStatusMTs is NOT trying to control any layout! It's just a simple oRA2 or CT_RA MainTank icon or text status.
