Grid no longer shows an bar outside of the box for overhealing.
Also, as a priest I am interested in when Weakened soul will fall off people. Is it possible to set it as (for example) center text 2 and have it display a timer instead of Weakened?
I'm using Grid 1.303, dynamic layout, buncha indicators, status hots, health percents.
1. Grid has never extended the healing bar beyond the edges of the unit frame. It wouldn't really make sense for the healing bar to go outside of the frame, since the frames are all so close together.
2. As far as the Grid core goes, only the Center Icon indicator supports displaying the duration of a (de)buff. If you want duration shown on a text indicator, you'd need to find a third-party plugin that adds text indicators that show status durations instead of status texts, or that creates a custom status that feeds the (de)buff's duration as the status text.

Actually at one point this is how healing was shown, although it may have been a bug. It was somewhat ugly as you say, but on the other hand it had a certain amount of information that is now lacking when it gets truncated.

If you can stomach alpha software and are ok with setting things up from scratch whenever changes require that, you can give Grid2 a try. All Grid2 text indicators can show duration and / or stack.

Sounds like a bug, as I've never seen that functionality and can't imagine why it would be intended... most of the time it doesn't really matter if someone is getting overhealed or just healed to full health anyway.
Thank you guys so much. I'd still be interested in an overhealing bar, if anyone could find one?
As far as I know, there are no third-party plugins that replace the healing bar.
If you're that concerned about overhealing, you may be better off installing a more detailed, standalone display of your heals such as VisualHeal to run alongside Grid.
I ahve made an overheal bar that work great, it is very usefull to know if the heal comming is much over or not. Just create a bar with the overhealing and put it in the right with left alignment, I suggest you to put an opacity to have a better look.
However, if you uncheck "Include player heals" in the healcoming status, it will sadly not work.
I have made a multibar to have separate colors for incoming heals from other and from mine, but then the overhealing doesn't work anymore.
