I just downloaded WoW 2 days ago and pitbull today. This isn't my first time using either I am just returning to the game after 8 months gone. I was trying to setup party frames in preparation for building a UI that I can use to play any class in any role with minimal adjustments. However, I can't find a party frame to setup. I looked up the FAQ and the 4.0 guide to see if I was missing something. The guide said that pitbull is supposed to come with a party frame built in.
Should I re-download the mod and reinstall? Is there a way to create a new party frame in the mod using the "new group" entry box? The drop down menu for "Current Group" in the "Groups" tab is blank right now.
maddhawk, the Party group does come already made. But yes you can make groups on your own. If the Current group dropdown is empty and has nothing in it then you must have deleted the groups that are in the default.
The guides should cover how to do all of these things already.
Messing around with the latest beta 19. Party frames are definitely buggy or something.
I start out with all default settings and a default profile. When I choose Party config mode, I see every frame except for my Party and Party Pets frames. I see the words "Party" and "Party Pets" words that correspond to the Party and Party Pets groups, but no frames.
I tried inviting someone to a group, and then, still in Party config mode, I see their frame and their party pet frame show up. But only for them, I don't see the 3 other frames cause there is only 2 party member at this point.
Then the person leaves the party and now I can still see the config frame for that 1st party member and the 1st party pet, but still can't see the other 3 frames.
And also at this point, this party member frame does not look like a normal config frame. It's missing all the Lua/Dogtag texts and it messed up. And I cannot click the move it.
Can anyone else confirm these problems? Is there a more stable beta that works with the wow v4.0.3?

Config mode for group frames is broken in Wow 4.0.3. They broke how it works with 4.0.3. I haven't had time to fix it and it's going to very likely take a major rewrite of the config mode it was disabled before 4.0.3a but 4.0.3a changed the build number and I figured I'd fix it before they did that.
Group frames in general will work fine, just not in config mode.
I have a few Portrait issues. Portraits seem to "lag" behind what's going on in game.
As an example...I used Hex on a mob in HoR using a macro which sets the target as my Focus. In my Focus frame the mob was still his ugly old self but when we got around to killing him after Hex had worn off there was a Frog in the Portrait even though he was back to normal.

Hey, just started using PitBull. Do the player Threat and Reputation bars function? I can't seem to get them to appear. Thanks!
They do function. Make sure the modules for reputation and threat are enabled. Then to display a faction first open your reputation panel, scroll to the faction you wish to watch, check the box to track that faction. The bar will automatically appear on your own unit frame at the bottom.
For the threat bar, again make sure the module is enabled. Then under your own frame layout or under Target frame layout go to the bars tab. Make sure the threat bar is enabled here as well. Manipulate options to place it where you want it. Myself, I simply have a % threat text displayed on my targets health bar.
Hmm, nope the bar is gone again but the text stays if I attach it to an area other than the actual threat bar. I feel there really is something wrong with the actual bar appearing but the text is ok unless it is attached the bar, which will not appear.
I've tried clean setup with no other mods and complete Pitbull re-install and it doesn't work. For some reason they were there and next time I logged in gone, and I don't know how to get them back.
They turn off when you are solo and reappear when in a group. Although if you attach the text to something other than the threat bar it will appear when solo.
Hint to PB4 people who keep linking this thread to me. I'm aware that LHC is obsolete. There are two Visual Heal modules. LHC4 is not loaded on a 4.x client. The old module is there for china. So please stop opening tickets that have no point.
LHC-4.0 is not obsolete, it is just not currently maintained. Who closed that thread, and why? Given that you posted in it 6 hours ago, i assume you did?
Started using PitBull. Went into dungeon fought a boss and his target frame appeared on the mid upper right side of my screen using the WoW default graphics. And when a second boss joined in his appeared underneath it. Intended?

Yes because we don't provide boss frames at this time.
currently I have my cast bar set to auto hide, but when it is activated it compresses the rest of the bar. is there any way to just have it pop up (i.e. have the rest of the frame remain static) without affecting the size of the other aspects of the frame?
I can't seem to figure out how to do this if it is possible. thanks

Curse PremiumYes. ReputationBar only shows when you track something, shift click on a reputation in the rep window.
Threat will only show when you're in a group or have a pet.

currently I have my cast bar set to auto hide, but when it is activated it compresses the rest of the bar. is there any way to just have it pop up (i.e. have the rest of the frame remain static) without affecting the size of the other aspects of the frame?
