It's possible Wulfegang is referring to the commit that was completely broken (RE: separate modules). I've updated since then and everything is back to working for the most part. I have noticed that the Combat Fader module is enable in the Blizzard addons list, but does not appear at all in the PitBull4 configuration.

Fixed among a couple other things I'd noticed. Typos are bad.
I will backup m PB folders then try to update again and let you know if it works. I guess I was just really unlucky and happend to update at the worse possible moment heh. Thanks for all of the hard work you guys put into these addons, it is definitely appreciated.
Update: I updated to beta 4 and everything is working great. I just have bad luck it seems. :)
I don't know if the following is a bug in PitBull4 or LibHealComm-3.0, so I didn't file a ticket yet:
Seems like the split to seperate folders caused the upgrade mechanism of LibHealComm-3.0 to break (maybe a LoadOnDemand issue?).
If only PitBull4 contains the latest version of LibHealComm-3.0, only PitBull4 works with it, other Addons doesn't (tested with VisualHeal and sRaidFrames).
If you manually copy the LibHealComm-3.0 folder from PitBull4 to another Addon using it (overwriting the old version there), everything works again.

I'm curious as to why the AddOn List description (TOC ##Notes field) of PitBull still says: "Dog-themed unit frames. Woof. Arf. Yip." The only thing about PitBull that has ever been particularly dog-themed is its launcher icon texture.
Yes, I remember the origin of the house-pet named addons a few years ago, and even made a minimap border texture with cute little chinchillas on it for Chinchilla. Calling these unit frames "dog-themed" just seems misleading. I think the notes used to read "Unit-frame addon of awesomeness. *WOOF* It'll bite your face off!" or something to that effect. Ironically, that description is probably more accurate than "dog-themed."
Due to some unfortunate misunderstanding, I created a bar provider for PB4 that shows the remaining lifetime of your temporary pet (in the pet frame only).
It turned out the original requestor needed something else, but anyway, it's here for the grabbing for those frost mages and the like: PitBull4_PetTTLBar
I think the notes used to read "Unit-frame addon of awesomeness. *WOOF* It'll bite your face off!"
That's pretty close to verbatim, if memory serves. And yes, the current "dog-themed" description makes me wonder how many folks who'd never tried any version of PitBull decided to skip it with a "WTF?!?"
Been experimenting with PitBull 4.0 for the first time recently. Started with v4.0.0-beta3-73-g9d9eacf, now on to v4.0.0-beta3-78-g26e2888.
Have done several option & Luatext adjustments. Working well so far for soloing & 5-man parties. But a serious issue with raids. Joined a 25-man raid...and no raid frames appeared. At all.
In the options, in Groups, General tab, the two default Current group options are Party & Party pets. In the Unit group dropdown, Party & Raid's options seem to be attached. You cannot uncheck Enable when on the Raid Unit group dropdown selection without it also unchecking Enable for Party. Which is rather strange.
Anyway, have both Raid & Party dropdown selections enabled. In the Filtering tab, have everything checked for both (they are again attached, can't uncheck a box for one of the Raid or Party dropdowns without it affecting the other. Will be interesting to see if a party frame shows up in a raid due to this). Party has an extra filtering checkbox: "Party". Uncheck this and the party frames go away in a 5-man party, comes back when you recheck it, as expected.
With all of the filtering choices checkmarked, no raid frames appeared when joining a 25-man raid. Quickly tried unchecking and rechecking both the all the filtering options and several of the General, Unit Group options with no success. Then disabled the mod and relogged with the default Blizzard raid frames.
So...what do you have to do to get raid frames showing up with the mod? EDIT: Due to all the options being attached, how can you create 5-man party frames that are a different scale size (for instance) than the raid frame size (once I get them active) and have them switch when the group changes without having to manually select a different Current group setup each time?

You're using the wrong drop down. The Unit group drop down changes what units the Current group is pointing at. If you want to configure a raid group you probably want to make a new group by typing say "Raid" or whatever you want to call it in the New group box up at the top. Once the group is made then you want to select the Unit group for your newly made group as Raid.
The reason the Enable box seems linked is because it is. You're enabling/disabling the same group.
I've done everything I can to try and make this very clear. In particular the tabbing to remove the scrolling on this pane was added so the Current group drop down always remains visible on the screen.
I myself found myself trying to use the Unit group drop down to select the group I wanted to edit a few times before I made that change. I'm really not sure what else I can do.

Right because you're converting your raid frames back into party frames everytime you put that Unit group drop down back to Party.

There you go. Use the Current group dropdown. These aren't groups of groups. It's a singel group of frames. They're all active all at once. You jsut only have one group to edit at a time.
If you want multiple sets of configurations you use Profiles. Which is what it seems you think Current group is about.
I also posted this on the curse ->pitbull 4 page but i got no answer
I have been testing pitbull 4 for quite some time now.. and its an amazing frame addon.. except 3 things that i have noticed:
*some times.. usualy when i am in a combat in general and i press my totem button.. the totem doesnt appear in the totem bar.. it shows only the time remaining. I can fix this by doing /console reloadui but it will happen again sooner or latter..
*When i am in a raid ( and i have party not to show ) i keep getting spammed "you are not in a group" system msg in the chat whenever i try to cast something..which is realy annoying.
*At the simple aura editor settings there is a collum in which you can check all the buffs that you want to show on friends. well as i was trying it out.. i un-checked every songle one of them and i see no difference whatsoever.
I dont know if there is something i am doing wrong about all these or if its a bug but they are very, very irritating

After fooling around some more, finally got the raid frames walking & chewing gum at the same time.
Two things that might be an improvement:
--Having a default "Raid" profile/Current group instead the user having to create one. 5-man parties & party pets already have a default profile/Current group set to go; why not raids?
People generally expect raid frames to both "look" different--in size, options, etc.--and be able to be adjusted differently from party frames. As this is what the behavior of the Blizzard frames is as well as all other unit frames (with their own in-game options) I've ever tried. Its difficult to adjust user expectations.
True, creating your own profiles is fine and a great option. But having to figure out that you need to create your own profile for raid frames in order for them to behave properly is likely too much for a first time user out-of-the-box experience.
--Having that "single group" (profile) with different names in the dropdown--some with different options, most with the same options--is quite counter-intuitive. All the same/similar options are attached; can't change anything for one dropdown selection without it affecting the rest of the dropdown selections.
How about instead having a "Global" item in the dropdown that affects every selection that is currently linked in a single profile (as it essentially does now) and removing the duplicate option selections for each of the rest of the dropdowns?

This bug has been fixed shortly after the last beta available on curse.com was released. You can either try an alpha package from here or wait a little bit until the next beta package is released onto curse.

I can't give an exact tip here but a general hint: When you change settings and apparently nothing changes, then you should make extra sure that you're actually editing the layout that is currently assigned to the units you're looking at.
I'm going to echo Zidomo here. Have PitBull come with a setup for raid frames already built-in when you first install it. You already have parties set up. I think I know why you don't have a default raid set up, though. It's because raid frames weren't initially working in the earlier alphas, right? Either way, a default working raid setup needs added now that you have beta versions of PitBull.
And yeah 2 dropdowns that give similar options isn't instantly clear. I also had trouble with that initially, but that was before you changed it to be visible at all times.

Notice Raid member #37. It's misplaced. If i scale down the raid group, raid member #35 and #37 will merge, looks quite awful.
Sounds like a bug in LHC-3.0 itself.
Can you post your PitBull4.lua file from the WTF folder for this please. Thanks.
