Would it be possible to have add a dog-tag to any color accepting object that evaluates to a color ?
Like for the Borders people could choose things like
[ if rare then Silver else if elite then yellow] to color the border by mob type
others could just say
[ classcolor ] to color is by the class color
HP / Mana bars could be customize in a similar fashion without the need of adding 125 special case checkboxes.
The downside would be that people will need to express their layout in dogtags (maybe there could be some predefined values) and i am not sure if dogtags do have the option to just to evaluate into a color instead of a Text.
I seriously doubt that we'll use dogtags for borders.
a) It's not designed for that at all.
b) While it may not be apparent at this point. But DogTags will eventually not be required at all for PitBull. It's merely one text provider.
c) It's likely that DogTags will not even be the default text provider in the future and that a small hardcoded set of texts is the default.
The new module system is designed to make it much easier to write modules. So it should be possible for someone to come up with modules to do a lot of this sort of stuff.
Yihaa I fixed the problem with the bug for portraits show up full body instead of face, here's the code jokey! Btw, how did you want to solve this in another way?
Great work, Silky! You are now officially a Lua hacker. :P
I don't even know if there is another way to do this. I was thinking that there was a slim possibility that we could have a small snippet of code that always makes them show full-body, and another snippet that always makes them show bust. Not sure my understanding of why the problem exists is complete.
I know you were anti-static list but I unfortunately believe it's the only way. Btw I hope this list can be added to PB4? Thanks again jokeyrhyme. Took a couple of hours to figure it all out...
Like a Few people have Brought up n Have Made Tickets for Any Word on When Rare and Elite Boarders are going to make it in? or Even Some form of Editing Boarders?
sorry to digress a little from PB4. But regarding to kgpanels. How does one get it to work? I have always just used whatever border, texture that came with the mod that I am using, and I am not quite sure how to add elements from kgpanel or eepanel.
thanks
Oh and thanks for the great unit frame! I loved PB, but PB4 is just so much better, esp. in the configuration department. Keep up the awesome work please! :)
There are a lot of tickets regarding a colored border / Bar / Frame.

What do you think?

Anyhow, you've got a working solution, so /grats!
Tip: any site referencing mobs by their real GUID (like wowhead does) should help, according to this.
Edit: actually I meant mobId, which is included in GUID.
PS GREAT Job so Far Team
Edit : writting a ticket, I should have read the first post ...
Got my old layout working so far. Only thing missing is some offset options for text anchors or so, will ticket that later.
not very hard. just had pitbull3 and 4 running at the same time and copied the settings over. the black bar at the bottom of the frames are kgpanels.
And yes, it's the Caith Layout style but working in pb4.
thanks

This will be an important aspect of party and raid frames for healer classes.
Can't seem to find the option if any to disable it.
nvm, found a way to go around it. By holding Shift while dragging :D
Great work so far on Pitbull4, really loving it.
