Hey guys. I've been trying to get this thing to work outside of raids, but I'm a bit of a newb on the API and I've sorta run into a wall. I'm pretty sure the frames will display nicely if I can just trigger them to show, but there still seems to be some 'check' for a raid that I'm missing.
Rather than post the entire thing here, I'll just link my sRaidFrames.lua. The edited functions are as follows;
UpdateRoster - row 638 (just disabling the raid-check)
ScanRoster - row 566 (the rosterlib replacement, trying to add support for party in the roster)
I'm thinking that the roster is there for the party, the frames just aren't being drawn. There are a whole lot of functions that handle the frames though, and I'm not sure where to begin. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Just tried mucking around to try and create my own status for it, no luck :( Got it to show up under Advance, but the status text won't display on the bar...
I've made something like this for myself, I can make a project of the additions I made. I basically took sRaidFrames_Indicators, changed it and added the debuff functionality. I will update this post when I made a project on curse out of it.
would it be possible to add an advanced option for priests Weakened Soul debuff?
I know this was mentioned a couple of times in the past, but it would be a great help for disc priests. As with 3.1 shield is more useful than ever it would be nice to see which targets I'm able to use it on.
At the moment I am only able to show it as debuff in the target frame. But if I do this I can't see which buffs (renew, shield, divine aegis, pom) are applied to that target for the whole time weakened soul is on it.
So it would be really nice, if I could set sraidframes to change border or background color, if weakened soul is on a target.
I really would like to see something like this added if possible. Just to have the option for instance to give the frame a background color when Weakened Soul is active would really help out the discipline priest.
I wish more addons had the cool feature of finding debuffs easier. I entered Frenzied bloodthirst. And it found it without having to type the whole name. And this is on the vampyre fight tommorow. Was wondering how the mod knows all the debuffs in the game to make them easier to add to the whitelist?
Most mods you have to type the full name, not even powa auras knows the icon till it sees the spell cast first.
Can I please ask that the recent change to alphas for hiding the default Blizzard compact frames AND the raid manager pullout
be either reverted or made "off" by default (instead of "on" by default that it is now).
Reasons in no particular order:
1. Blizzard raid frames can be locked and hidden from the default game already,
I don't see why we need any addon doing that.
It is done from the same raid manager pullout that sRaidFrames disables.
2. Raid Leaders and assistants lose access to world markers and role check.
3. There is no way to bring it back by unchecking the relevant options in sRaidFrames without doing a /reload.
Its easy enough to turn back on. Click the button, reload ui, i don't see the big issue.
Most people don't know that they can hide the raid frames from that manager, and most people also prefer that whole manager to be gone - so its a good default. There are more raiders then raid leaders in a raid, tuning it for the 2 leaders instead of the 23 raiders seems odd, doesn't it.
"Most" people may not know alot of options present in the default client.
Do you make an addon automatically overriding them for each one?.
4.0.x is new, they will learn.
Where did you get the 2 leaders demographic?
In my guild apart from raid leader, role leaders (tank lead, dps lead, healer lead)
and officers also get assist.
I'm not saying everyone does (or should do that) but I don't understand
why I have to explain to guildies I recommended sRaidFrames to ages ago,
that they have to go disable a default setting and reload to get the ability to use world markers back.
No big deal for me anyway I can find my way around addons.
