Special Debuff Visibiliy
On some fights players get certain debuffs applied to them. Watergrave, icebolt (winterchill), spike in their chest (1st BT boss etc). On the Rage Winterchill fight I added IceBolt and icebolt to my whitelist of debuffs. The debuff never showed up on the people that had it.
I've had some trouble with that before and it was generally because I can't spell worth a darn.
What would be nice however is a list of debuffs from a previous encounter and you being given the option to add whichever ones you want to the lists. I know for myself during an encounter I can't really take the time to look at the specific debuff text (as a result, my healing assignment macros generally have a lot of 'thingys' in them), and I forget after the fight is done.
A few that come to mind from SSC are watery tomb thingy (Hydross), grave thingy (Tidewalker), zomg demon thingy (Leo), AoE of Doom Thingy (Vashj), and I don't recall if Fathom Lord has a 1-shot cloth thingy with that shadow bolt he does.
As you see, I'm very technical.
BTW, I love this mod, it's a very great addition. I've tried moving away from it a few times when I'm trying to optimize mods, and I always keep coming back to it.
Sometimes, on my priest, if I do a /reloadui ... range checking breaks. It starts seeing everyone out of range, and if I go into the menu to check what the range is set to, my normal range (of 40 yards) doesn't show up at all. Changing it to the other settings (30, and I think 15 was in there) doesn't seem to give me any love.
A second reloadui fixes it, but my raid starts getting irritable when they have to wait on me *twice*.
I'm assuming it's just a race condition of some sort, but I don't know for sure.
Anyhow, just thought I'd mention. Keep up your good work!

I have seen the same issue when you startup (after getting booted from the server) and come back in while the raid is in combat. All of the windows will show OOR till you do a reload ui. Not sure if it's related but similar.
If i come online when the raid is in combat it isn't just the rangecheck that doesn't work, instead the whole raidframe isn't shown.
Just doing /rl isn't enough to fix the problem.
The only way to fix it completely is to do the following steps:
1. wait until end of combat.
2. change the "grow direction" to something else and then back again (e.g. from down to up and then back). now the frames are displayed again and you can click them to target ppl but the frames don't update: health bars & buffs stay unchanged even when they should change.
3. leave the raid.
4. log out
5. log in
6. get re-invited to the raid while out of combat.
If i don't do all of those steps the raid frames don't show at all or don't update or just throw millions of errors.
Needless to say this whole procedure is terribly annoying and when it happens more than once per raid it makes me completely loathe sRF. ^^

Yea, after rereading the bug message i remembered i'd tried to get the MT import working sometime but couldn't.
I deleted the MT group now and hope that specific bug won't occur anymore. :)
Considering adding small raid target icons, but don't really see the use -- usually you mark mobs, not players.
Will also add some voice comm icon, when that arrives in 2.2
... and pet support.
Anything else?
Voicecomms & pets are great.
PvP icon would be helpful. I usually buff of my frames and not player visuals and I'm so sick of catching a PvP enabled muppet by chance and turning green myself. Fault lies with the muppet not the frames but recognizing PvP-plagued raiders in the frames would be really helpful.
/edit: Hm.. maybe that's already possible using the buff/debuff lists?
The custom sets with manually added players could be great for healers, but it's too much trouble to fix that now. What would be perfect is if you could drag the unitframes from one group to another. Added to that, if you use a one group for "caster dps", then it can get really big. It would be great if it could automatically use 2 columns and overflow into the second column when the first is full. Like a roster really. That way I can have the tanks right at the center of my screen, and the other players around it. Using classes that simply is not possible and I have to memorize every fight what people are tanking and focus heals on them.
I understand this might be a lot of work, but I'm just telling you what I as a healer would like to see :D
I hope this is the right place to post a request. I think I read a similar request awhile back but after a few minutes of searching through this epic thread I couldn't find it so I hope this isn't ill-received...
Are there any plans to implement a feature similar to how CTRA deals with buffs? I can see how only defining a few buffs that you can cast is beneficial so those only show up, but as a raid leader I like to see what buffs people have overall, and the buffs aren't always the same due to composition. If I add several buffs (say all the pally buffs, as well as fort and gotw or something) the frame gets overloaded with buff icons and covers up the names. What I'd like to see is a (settable?) 'buff limit' for display (CTRA shows 4 max I believe) and a configurable/sortable priority list of buffs just like CTRA.
I love sRaidFrames, and this is the only feature I really miss from CTRA. I'd be tickled pink if it came to fruition :)
im having an issue where no matter what my buffs dont show up on the frames anymore.. its been like this for about a few days now :( anyone else having these problems?

Any word on the Pet Support? My guild's Hunters are getting angry with us healers. Within that Pet Support, what are you considering? One of my biggest issues is range and debuffs (so I'd love something almost identical to what we already have for raid members). Right now I'm pulling out the Blizzard Default Bars (bleh), and have no ability to tell if I can even heal the pet.
Thanks for all your continued hard work. Been a while since I've been here (because the mod's been working wonderfully for me). I really appreciate and love the Whitelist!
Hi,
I love this addon an I'm using it for a long time - so thanx for your great work.
I have two questions: is it possible to let sRF show more than 2 debuffs? And can it show HOTs or is it planned to implement that? That would be fantastic.
When I try to set the positioning (to anything), I receive the following:
Interface\Addons\sRaidFrames\sRaidFramOptions.lua:876:attemtp to index field '?' (a nil value)
A lot of boss mods does this... BigWigs "competition" marks the frost bolt target on Rage iirc.
I've had some trouble with that before and it was generally because I can't spell worth a darn.
