I have a raid main using a PB3 setup that works fine, but to learn the ropes and help continue testing PB4, I wanted to use it on an alt - but during this process, I want to continue using PB3 on my raid main.
Is this possible without having to backup/restore folders in wow, or does PB4 write over PB3 when installing?
Is there an upgrade path or do I need to recreate everything? Can I import profiles into PB4?
You need to recreate everything, although once you understand the new layout template system, you'll find that not only is it quicker to setup PB4, but you end up with more consistent frames.
OK I installed Pitbull 4 and it is feaking sweet!!! HOWEVER, Torhal mentioned in a prior post that it is distinct from PB3 and that you can have both installed. While this is partially true, there is a problem with this. PB3 and PB4 seem to use the same Control Panel so once you install PB4 you can no longer edit or change anything in PB3.
I was hoping that I could enable modules in PB4 as I got them configured and disable them in PB3. Since I cannot access PB3 control panels anymore, this isn't possible.
That said... PB4's Layout control is brilliant and is going to take some figuring on how to best utilize commonalities between frames.
Thanks for the great work. Figuring out how to get raid frames was a 2 minute stumper but I got it and then some - no default raid / main tank / mtt / etc frames, but you have far more configurability of all those frames when you do figure out how to add them!

I did this and could have both panels open at once, though it does cramp the screen a bit.
/pb4 should get you pb4
on most systems at least. PitBull will end up loading before PitBull4.
