I have many errors related to "Unknown Tag" and cant find any Documentation or Changelog. What I dont get it is Ckknight is rebuilding addon from scratch and those tags are not included yet or he renamed those tags to some new tags that we dont know yet and cant modify.
I can't see health percentage, Talent specc on cowtip. Cowtip shows everyone on my guild for a 2-3secs and then shows correct one.
I also has;
Unknown Tag Negate
Unknows Tag ShortClassification
Half of the presets dun work.
Not expection my customs to work, but the prediefines ones atleast shouldn't be tossing "syntax error" all over the place...
I'm having a very bizarre problem I can't find the root to.
When I log in, everything is fine. But whenever I bring up any unit frame other than my own, there's an error which seems to somehow involve Rock and my health/power bars disappear for all frames except the player frame. The only way I can re-enable them is to go into the menu, uncheck the enable boxes for every bar, then re-check them. But as soon as I close the Pitbull Menu the bars disappear again. I've updated Pitbull and even tried downgrading, but if I downgrade then the Pitbull menu itself goes completely blank when I try to open it, or I can't open it at all.
I've tried updating and turning off rock, but it hasn't been updated in a month and turning it off creates even more problems. Any guidance? It's the only mod that I haven't fixed. :\
From poking around in the LUA it looks like he IS working on restoring a lot of the old tags, they're just not fully implemented yet.
Also, if you are getting the "Missing Argument" error, specifically for options like ShortClass, try changing it to something like Class:ShortClass. Dunno if that's been mentioned yet or not.
My suggestion, if you don't feel like getting your hands dirty in the LUA (and there's a lot more going on in there than it looks like) is to just hold on for a few days while CK gets everything in order =)

this is why I questioned moving to DogTags 3 when it's not ready, in a publicly available branch. just going to get lots of postings about broken stuff. I'm all for advancement and change for the better, just maybe more cautious about putting unfinished work in front of the masses. :)
The latest version of PitBull for 2.4 and LibDogTag-3.0 works fine for me with a few minor issues (see last paragraph).
I no longer have any Syntax Errors or Unknown Tag errors. If you're still getting these errors, as I was at first, just go into your PitBull configuration and reset all "custom" styles under the Text fields per Unit to their default style. This will fix it and all of those errors should go away. If not, try removing all references of PitBull from your SavedVariables folder and re-installing the addon as a fresh install.
I did attempt to continue using LibDogTag-2.0, but this version was failing miserably for me when used with the new PitBull for 2.4. So, I progressed to LibDogTag3.0...it's not painful. :)
The only minor errors (or missing info) I have noticed so far are:
1) As mentioned by other users, the spell cast names do not show on the cast bar, even with the setting on Default and no custom text used.
2) The coloring syntax doesn't seem to work. I don't know if this is inherent from LibDogTag-3.0 or only a PitBull issue. i.e., I use the following LibDogTag3.0 coloring syntax for Guild Names, which I have as a separate line on the Target unit:
[(if Guild = "player":Guild then Green) Guild:Angle]
However, the color Green is completely ignored and it still shows up as the default white color for the guild name. No syntax error is thrown when using this, it simply does nothing as far as changing the color.
With the newest version everything works for me, but the text will randomly just disappear, I also get a localization error when I load up, going to get a picture of it and post it in just a few.
Texta are not showing / flckering in/out, guessing its related to this dogtag error...

Outline isnt a valid DogTag anymore?
I can't see health percentage, Talent specc on cowtip. Cowtip shows everyone on my guild for a 2-3secs and then shows correct one.
I also has;
Unknown Tag Negate
Unknows Tag ShortClassification
Bad Unit:"Offline"
Bad Unit:"Dead"
etc.
I've noticed this as well. I'm guessing that addons have to get the actual spell name from the combat log or something.
Half of the presets dun work.

And a lot of error messages:
Keep up the great work!
Couple problems:
- Target Frame shows cast bar and spell icon, but no spell name or cast time.
- Target of Target Frame shows everything, but the cast time is UGLY as sin. It's showing numbers like 1.6999999997.
Any suggestions for possible problems on my end, or just wait for updates? Thanks!

Here is the error I am getting hope this helps ^_^
My target Cast bar (spell name and time) and target of target cast bar (time formatting correctly) are both fixed.
Zero issues at the moment for me.
Great work! Thank you!
My cast bar texts are fixed, when they show, but I'm also getting the flickering and disappearing text.
Seems to affect all categories.
Same exact thing
