Currently running PitBull 63744, but also noticing this in 65512 (in fact been noticing it back since ~62699). As per the picture included, sometimes aura buff/debuffs will appear momentarily on the wrong frame before switching to their correct positions. This happens so fast that that you have to be really quick to see it happen; in fact the attached pic is a frame from a movie that I captured in game. The very next frame shows the buff in it's correct position. I am fairly sure that this only occurs when in a raid or party, but I haven't fully tested this.
I updated pitbull after a long time and now my target portraits display health as an absolute amount, but sometimes its really out of place, and I miss the % value. I know i can set it to %, but then all my target's will have it, even if i target myself or my teammates. What I want basically is % for health that is unknown, mobs, enemies, people not in my group, but still have the absolute value from myself and my arena mates. Any way to work around this?

Use a custom dogtag for the health display. (and most of the time if you don't have any mobhealth addon it should behave like that anyway, since u can't show absolute for an unknown value it shows % for those)

a custom dogtag like? Older versions of pitbull used to display the way i want it to.
Np :) I had some Dogtag problem there with the new version on PTR, concerning mainly Castbars, if you ever succeed to get them to work please tell me :)

Look in the dogtag thread, should be some tags matching that in there.
(basicly if player/friendly player then show absolute, else show %)
But this should be the default behaviour, since it can't show an absolute value of an unknown value (enemy player or createures health/mana).
Make sure u don't have any mobhealth addon supplying mob health data for pitbull and it should behave like you want it to (think a mobhealth was added into pitbull recently, delete/dissable that and you should be back to its old behaviour)
Personally i use both absolute and % depending on what frame it is (% on tot and other small frames and absolute on the larger ones and both on mian targetframe)
hi there :)
i'm looking for a way to integrate a range-meter into my pitbull frames, cause i'm not perfectly satisfied by the fade-out when my target/focus is out of range
the problem shows while trying to re-sheep my focus-target per resheep-macro ... the focus frame is bound to the fade-range of my fireball as all frames (while fireball has 41 yards range, my sheeping spell has only 30 yards)
though i'm looking for a way to display a numeric value of the distace to the target within a pitbull frame.
any suggestions? or is it simply not possible regarding the pitbull-dogtag-functionality?
It's not possible due to WoW functionality (and there's no dogtag for it). The best you could do is give it a range, based on what spells you can use on that target. ie, if Fireball is in range, but sheep is not, then your target is between 31-41 yards away from you. There's a mod that does this for hunters - I forget if it works for other classes or what it's called. But it's for target, not sure of focus.
I just keep an eye on my focus target and have a good idea of where 30 yards is after so many years of playing.
I was able to get onto one of the realms that came up for a few minutes before they took it back down, but in that time I noticed Pitbull was not working, at all. There was an error about Dogtag not being found, and a few other Pitbull errors that I don't recall. I logged off to reinstall Pitbull (from WAU, with externals) and came back to find they had taken them all down again, else I'd have posted the exact errors. This may be an issue with the servers themselves (unlikely) or perhaps I had a pooched install of Pitbull (more likely, but slim since it worked fine on the PTR's). Just a heads up.
actually version 65425 Introduced the Libdogtag-3.0 but the lib itself is not included, and even not fully working with Pitbull.
I am using myself the last version BUT modified. I compared it with the version 65405 pre Libdogtag-3.0, removed all about that lib and kept only the Libdogtag-2.0 references.
I managed also to logged into live :P and all was working perfectly.

Went back to 65405 and zero errors on login/reload

You can do this with the [Range] tag, or customize the display using [MinRange] and [MaxRange] - all require the RangeCheck-1.0 lib to be installed.
I'd really like some help with this question as well. I've been looking for about an hour and I can't quite figure out how to revert to an older version of Pitbull.

Unfortunatly I had older one stored on my savy folder (in fact before each update from WAU I take a complete save of my Interface and WTF Folder to make sur I can play safe if it does not work).
If CK dont give a link in some time in this post, I will then attack mine if its really needed.
The only older version that has worked for me thus far is the last version available on Curse. Every other verison I have downloaded from files.wowace.com/PitBull/ has not shown up. I've changed all the DogTags to 3.0, did everything everyone has mentioned and have gotten precisely squidoo from it. And the one from Curse is glitchy as hell, so...

In order to use it I had to add this :
LibDogTag-3.0
and in doubt I added also LibDogTag-Unit-3.0. (though I am not sur about that last one).
did not changed anything because noticed the .toc still asking for ace2.

Is it possible to hide (or change opacity) the player frame if out of combat and/or full life ?

I posted yesterday http://www.wowace.com/forums/index.php?topic=11576.120 about it.

Back to AG_UnitFrames, I guess.

Should help out anyone who needs to revert to an older version.
