I'm a longtime user of PitBull and have recently noticed an issue with the Target and Target of Target frames becoming "garbled" during battleground play. I'll post up screen grabs in a few moments, but the results are target frames containing a distorted texture a buff/debuff/etc. instead of the health/mana bars, portraits, etc. They become unrecognizable and of little use. I've never seen this distortion take place outside of battlegrounds.
This distortion happens most often when toggling the game map on/off and can be recovered by toggling the game map.
What's the trick to save an entire layout (not just player frame, target frame, etc) and export it? I've only been able to save an individual frame's layout - I must be missing something. Thanks.
tbh, this question has been answered about 20 times now. Make sure all of your icons have a location assigned to them.
Some searches of the forums did reveal that many have experienced this issue, coupled with the responses "make sure your icons have a position assigned to them". Sorry for posting prior to doing some detailed searches.
I spent some time wading through the configuration tree for various PitBull elements, with a focus on icons, position, etc. What configuration menus, screens could I quickly look at to verify that an icon has a particular position set vs. trying to guess.

If you want icons in the same location for all frames, go to All Units -> Icons and reset them for each icon. Or, if you're having an issue with the combat icon on your Player frame for example, got to Player -> Icons -> Combat and pick a location for it. Note that you will not see every option for every unit frame if you are not in config mode.
There's a setting for "Show in battlegrounds" that lets you check or uncheck battlegrounds you want to see party frames in. I think it's under Party > Other.
Well I can only see "Hide party frames in raid" in Party > Other. :/
I did find the All units > Other: "Show in Battleground: [dropdown menu]" option. Since I don't use Pitbull raid frames so the option doesn't do anything when I have the Pb raid frames disabled. When I enable the raid frames, check to show raid in all the battlegrounds, I can see them checked at All units > Other etc after I disable the raid frames again. I don't know if it will work like that (I suppose it will) but it's still a bit unlogical and complicated way to handle hiding party in battlegrounds (which for me are pretty much the same thing as a raid groups).
Thanks for the help anyway. :)
Edit: actually that works only so that I have to enable&disable raid frames each time I login.
Looking for some distilled wisdom, after searching, from 30 odd pages of pitbull (in this thread).
I have some small frames for pet target, focus and focus target, I want to give these a custom texture, which I have created and added to Shared Media. But I can only set one texture for all bars (and another to fullbar). Is there a way of hacking this in?
I haven't been able to find a way to set fonts/texture/etc for each frame either, it's all or nothing
On that same note, I'm trying to find out where to get rid of the cast bar text that shows who I have in target while casting.
It's big and annoying and I don't want it there, I know who's supposed to be on the receiving end of a cast, no need for it to be in the cast bar frame with all the other stuff there

Yes. The simplest way would be to hard-code your chosen texture for those frames... i.e. find where it's setting the texture of the bar in question (I'm guessing health) and do a check. If the frame's unit is pettarget, focus, or focustarget, use your texture, otherwise, use the regular texture (the code that's already there).
Still no new's about if/when Fearward will become awailable in the Buff filter for all priests?
Would be nice to be able to see on the raidframe buffs who has fearward, but showing buffs unfiltered is not an option unf.
No idea, but it's extremely easy to make your own selection of Aura's to show by copy/pasting some lines in Aura.lua. I have described this process a few pages back (might be a lot of pages :)
Having Huge performance issues again with the aura modules of Pitbull since 2.3. Only way to get around is it seems to use debuff+buff filtering. Anyone else notice this after 2.3? I used to have problems before PitBull became 2.0. but after it's been very small impact of the FPS 3-8 when raiding and not using filtering until now in 2.3.
So is there another solution then debuff/buff filtering? Because alt_aura isn't being updated anymore it seems.
How can the combo points texture be changed? I can barely see the little dots.
1. Change the size of the dots in the code
2. Try moving the combo points to a different location for more visibility (right on the health or power bars for example)
3. Use the bars texture option instead
4. Create a new text area and use DogTags to display the number of combo points you have
5. Replace the combo point texture in the folder with one of your choice.
I have been checking these forums to find if this is a known issue or any work-arounds that might be available. I have my party portraits set to 3D and when out of range set to default back to 2D. Basically the issue that I am finding is that this change doesn't always seem to happen automatically based on range, the way it should. Sometimes the party members icon gets "stuck" in either 3D or 2D and refreshing the screen (even by just showing the full screen map) is needed to fix it. Any help would be appreciated.
Wondering if anyone even saw my question on the bottom of page 32 (Reply #639) about a way to have the power bar OVER or in the same position as the health bar. Would be very helpful for me, even if I have to edit code or something, I don't care I just want to get it done.
This distortion happens most often when toggling the game map on/off and can be recovered by toggling the game map.
Any feedback/advice on this issue?
no one ?
