The workaround I am using consist in editing the aura file (forgot the name), and adding the buff name to the class I want to see it on.
Actually, I am using this to see procs on my unitframe, but it will work with anything, as long as you provide the right name... even though it is a bit of a dirty way to add this, and it gives some babble errors.
But it works.
Would be nice to be able to add this ingame, or at least to put in in a file that would not be overwritten when updating Pitbull...
rather not have it then have it popping errors.
would be nice thou if the current filters were updated for the 2.3 changes.
If it is taint, it's specific to the Rock-based version of PitBull, because the issue (party frames not appearing when logging in in a party until entering combat) began happening when I finally switched from the Ace2 version to the Rock version, several weeks before 2.3 hit. I'll see if I can get a taint log...
Hi I dont know if i do something wrong :) i config Pitbull and everything lock the fram ect ect.....everything working great but.... sometimes i misclick and right-click my targetoftarget frame ...it bring up the rock config menu of Pitbull and odd enough JUST this frame does it, none of my other frame (raid/party/self/target/...) have such behaviour. It only happen once in a while but it pretty annoying when it does happen
I should have clarified what I wanted. I want the buffs to be contained inside the frame. I'm not worried about filtering. Essentially I want to offset the frame, but short of editing the code myself, I can't think of anything.
It's not technically a problem, but it would be depending on how rigid you require your layout to be. I have my party frames in a square config. The problem is that if I have 3 or less people in the group (counting myself), party members 1 and 2 are offset to the right about 50 pixels. Once the fourth member of the party enters, they adjust back to the left and are perfectly in place. For me it's not a big deal because my space doesn't require they stay where they are, it just seems "weird". Here's a diagram to help illustrate:
With only 2 additonal people in the party:
---------
- 2 -
- -
- 1 -
---------
Once the 4th/5th, join the group:
---------
- 2 4 -
- -
- 1 3 -
---------
It only pops errors once for each "buff" that is not recognized... not really a big deal.
I prefer having that than checking through my buff list (which is never going to be filtered in any way, in case some might wonder ^^) every now and then to see what is active (I overexagerated a bit, but the idea is that having chosen buffs display on the unit frame is priceless.
The filters will probably never be updated in that way, since it would require every single possible buff to be added to the list...
An easier way (for all I know, which is not much) could be the possibility to add specific buffs to filter.

I lack in lua programing skills so i might be wrong, but there is already a filter for priest buffs, how hard can it be to add one more buff to it? (since all priests now have fearward)
Maybe because there's a zillion possible buffs in that game ? :]
Each frame for any class only has this class' specific buffs bu default, which is OK, but the real problem comes with items' buffs.
I have a problem with Pitbull (last revision) when I'm logging in combat, the raid unit frame doesn't display. And after I'm not in combat, the raid unit frames appears!
Is there a solution to solve my problem.
Hey,
would it be possible to add a text for a buff or a debuff in the partyframe ? Like this :
Instead of "Buff" it could show Evasion, Unstable Affliction, Blessing of Protection etc. like Sraidframes. Buffs and priority are selected from the user.
Is there a way to show buffs/ debuffs inside a frame, more specifically the raid frame. For example, I want to know which raid members at a glance have AI and I want it show in the top right corner inside the frame, similar to sRaidFrames. Not a big deal, but just something I got used to with sRaidFrames.
I am not sure if you can do this with the regular Aura option but in Alt Aura I just used the offsets and moved the buff to the top right corner. Granted as a mage 99.99% of the time I only see AI so I am not sure how it would look or size with multiple buffs but this works great for me.

This is what I had asked previously and the only thing I have found that works is making a text field as you did with "BUFF" and making a dogtag for all the ones you want to track.
What this does is track: Stealth/Prowl, Iceblock, Invisibility, Vanish, Cloak of Shadow, Divine Shield, Power Infusion, Intervene, Fearward, Bloodlust, Heroism, Shadowform, Soulstone, Feign Death, Misdirection, Shieldwall, Laststand, Divine Intervention, Seduced, Sapped, Poisoned, Cursed, eating/drinking, Spirit of Redemption, Blessing of Protection, Rejuv/regrow/lifebloom/renew, barkskin, innervate, and magic debuffs.
Yea, long string but it covers pretty much everything I care to track and shows it at the bottom area where SRF shows it (on the power/mana bar) in different colors.
I was wondering, is it possible to set separate bar textures for power and health? Also, is it possible to have both bars on top of each other? Say, if you had a separate texture for mana that was... a circle... and you wanted it to be 'behind' your health texture, which would be in the middle etc.
Anyway to break anything in order to get this working? I've been doodling around for a while now and can't find anything to get the effect I want.
here's an example:
Health texture:
Mana Texture:
With Mana texture in the same position but under or over the health texture:
If this isn't possible and isn't going to be supported, could anyone suggest a way to do this with any other mod? Or by some other means?
fyi: the mana bar wouldn't deplete in a clockwise direction or anything, it's just handled like a normal texture but transparent in the middle, so the mana would go from right to left like normal. Mainly want to get the overlay and dual textures working.
I occasionally get the action failed because of an addon -message, I think couple of times when I've been in LFG and someone's invite me to join their group. I haven't noticed any other side effects though.

I (and some other people) wondered this too in http://www.wowace.com/forums/index.php?topic=9442.0
I wouldn't really mind the "moving" layout at all but my party target frames don't act the same way in square layout which I find a bit annoying. In addition my party target frames don't react to changes when e.g. the leader changes so that the order of the party frames move so I pretty much always see the "wrong" party targets :P
Another thing what someone asked a couple of pages ago (and didn't get an answer as far as I could see) was that Pitbull doesn't recognize battlegrounds as raids so the party frame shows up under/over my Grid when I'm in a bg, eventhough I have "show party in raid" disabled. Is there a solution to it?
After 2.3 when i logged in Pittbulls portraits showed the whole body and not the 3d like i wanted it, ok no problem i changed it.
But yesterday it came back again.
I have the latest version.
And sometimes when i have changed it (from full body to 3d (and i havent checked that show full body box)) it still change it from 3d to full body and thats starting to annoy me.
There's a setting for "Show in battlegrounds" that lets you check or uncheck battlegrounds you want to see party frames in. I think it's under Party > Other.

with the version I had back then I was able to get the targets buffs and debuffs like this
Im unable to do this with the new pitbull cause I cant find a position of the buffs in the code like the old pitbull
anyone knows if there is a way to get the buffs and debuffs like that again ?
