You'd have to create totally separate profiles and manually swap when joining a different-sized raid; this would mean keeping 3 or more profiles' layouts for player, target, party, and any other non-raid frames in sync with each other. i.e. if you changed the format of your target health text, you'd have to change it in the other 2 profiles too. Personally I'd recommend Grid for raid frames, for this and many other reasons.
As for your second question: it depends. If you're okay with having gaps between party frames when no party targets exist, you can certainly arrange your frames that way. Use the "square" layout for both the party and partytarget unit groups.
Thanks Phanx. I'll go with Grid for the raid frames, that seems a bit too much to manage.
I was able to get the party layout I wanted using the Square option, too. Lots of work left to be done...sometimes I feel like I spend more time tweaking my UI than actually playing :)
Having an issue where bosses and unknown NPCs are classed as paladins. This seems to be the default unknown class. places where this is an issue like moroes, or HKM or Illidari Council.
not sure if this is a PitBull issue or DogTag.

how can i make the party frame visible while I'm playing BGs?
for some reason it will only display the raid frames alone.
I'm asking this since i play always with a party of 4 friends, and i would like to check their status from party frames.

Change your class DogTag to [IsPlayer ? Class ! Creature] to show class titles only for players, and creature types for non-players. Much more useful than seeing "Humanoid" on players and "Paladin" on mobs.
I've tried setting up a profile for each, naming one solo and one party but that doesn't seem to do anything as "my" bar stays whereever I left it last. Any help on this?

After loading a new profile in PitBull, you have to reload your UI before frame dimensions and positions are applied. I don't know why it's coded this way.
I just replaced aguf + drathal's HUD by pitbull and i'm pretty happy of it.
The only downside is that as i'm not showing my player frame while not in regen/select/combat, casting/mining/using chest/hearthstone etc doesn't show up the casting bar on the frame.
To fix this i made a tiny patch that will show frame, with the combatfade healt/mana regen alpha setting, when spellcasting.

A HUGE thanks. It looks like I've figured it out exactly. Basically, Reloadui serves as "save-as" function so that when you are done messing around with a UI for a certain profile, you just "reloadui" and it saves. This makes things much easier going back and forth between groups and soloing. Again Thank you!!!!!
For not getting confused:
The settings you changed are immediately saved to the profile and available during this session, but for them to be available for following sessions, you need to reload your UI or log off. There is no direct write access to disc for permanent saving of settings the moment you change them.
So Phanx has correctly commented to chode60005, but imo chode60005 meant sth different :)
Yes, but that applies to any addon's saved settings, and has nothing to do with PitBull specifically. PitBull is unique (or at least uncommon) in that when you switch profiles, it fails to apply all of the settings, but during a normal "full load" (such as what happens when you log in or reload the UI) it does apply all of the settings.
Is there anyway to make it so when you go AFK it just shows AFK and not the time?
I have asked this before and got an answer but for whatever reason I find my previous posts, and because my UI reset I don't know the the DogTag to have it show up the way I want it.
Is there a way to get a line of text in pitbull to be a pixel higher? Just wondering becuase at smaller the text options given really dont cover it, there isnt a single text option completely on the health bar at 11 pixel height with a single pixel mana bar and using the font Visitor...
Alright I've searched to the best of my ability, and it just won't work.
Is there a way for pitbull to show the zone of my current target? I tried the [zone] dogtag and the text did not come up. For instance if I target someone in grid to see where they are, since I have tooltips disabled on most of my unit frames, could I have their curent zone come up as static text on my pitbull target frame?

Its a blizzard issue.
All melee mobs with mana returns as paladin.

Would it be possible to just filter debuffs for enemy targets, but show all debuffs on friendly targets?
