I'm having some problems with pitbull and the raid and party frames
I'm atttempting to parent a panel frame to every one of the raid and party frames but for some reason they change cluster numbers everytime i log or reload my ui, that obv makes it a pain to do and not only that but the raid and party frames share the same names (at least 4 of them do) so when i go in raid i get this panel that should be on my party frames...
any help would be nice
EDIT: Whenever I go into a new party or raid grp the cluster number switches
EDIT EDIT: Is there a way to get it so that all debuffs are shown on friends? Since as of now im having to put every debuff in by itself and thats rather troublesome. Also im trying to get it so that it shows all debuffs on enemies besides the ones i put on, is there a way i could do that?
I've noticed a very annoying bug with the method talents are pulled from your targets by CowTip and Pitbull. When both are enabled, you may only "get" talents from a character if you mouseover them, without selecting them. For example, if I click on "Char A," Char A's talents will NOT show up. If I try to mouseover him, his talents will STILL not show up (I've tested this, having a target selected and mouseovering him for 30 seconds to no avail). It is only when I deselect Char A and mouseover for 2-3 seconds, am I finally able to see talents. Needless to say, this is both annoying, and problematic in PvP.
Is this phenomenon well-known? I find it very annoying, and hopefully there is, or will be, a fix.
In further testing, disabling CowTip completely disables Pitbull showing talents. It seems Pitbull can't pull talents, but rather depends on CowTip to do so.
When Pitbull is disabled, CowTip can pull talents and display them, but still CANNOT do so if the character has been targeted. Basically, if you want to see talents on a new character approaching you (in PvP for example) you cannot target him without mouseovering him for 2-3 seconds first. This, as stated before many times, is very annoying.
-Pitbull seems to not be able to pull talents without CowTip running.
-CowTip can only pull talents when mouseovered a target for 2-3 sec (normal) WITHOUT the target being selected (should not be normal).
I'm using [TalentSpec] as my DogTag command, very simple, and it returns a simple XX/XX/XX.
I'm using embedded libs in my Addons (downloaded in .zips from files.wowace.com) so disabling CowTip and Pitbull not being able to pull talents should be a valid concern...
In further testing, players from other realms never show talent info in Cowtip, and thus not in Pitbull either. I have found other threads that pertain to this issue, but not in such depth. One does, however, cover the cross-realm problem. I will try their "fix" out, which is to revert to an old version. Someone, I believe and author, came in and said he fixed the problem of cross-realm talents...not so at all.
Well, this problem is resolved. Installing the external lib for talent inspection allows for cross-realm inspection. I, however, have removed all talent tags from my unitframes and tooltips, as in 2.4 talent inspection for hostile units was removed.
Heya, i am trying to write an addon that creates some background panels when i enter certain area's etc. One thing i would like to do is Hide the Pitbull Party Frames while i am in certain raids. But i cant find a command op option to hide those, except for manually clicking it in the Pitbull options window.
Hi there, I spent about few days setting up Pitbull just the way I want it, everything is perfect except for aggro indication.
Currently the only way Pitbull can indicate aggro that I can see is by turning the health bar red.
This interferes with the health bar function turning red on low health as I use the gradient coloring from green-yellow-red as an indication of someones health level. When Pitbull suddenly turns the health bar red on me i think they are just about dead, in contradiction they may still have full health, just aggro.
A number of Unit Frames indicate aggro via a flashing or colored border, just like Pitbull does to indicate a debuff such as a curse, magic or poison, any way we can get Pitbull to do the same for aggro (or choose which bar we want red, such as the Full bar which would be better than the health bar).
Is there any "fast" way to make an exact copy of a layout between chars?
I have modified my main layout a LOT and now i want the same one on all chars but i really really don't want to have to go through all those chanes manually for all 15 chars :(
An copying my main profile dosent help, it barely changes half the settings, and dosent change almost any of teh size and simmilar settings...
What I've done in the past is just setup a default profile if I'm leaving the settings the same for all characters. It's been a while though as I stopped using Pitbull due to taint errors with the raid frames. Don't know if this will help after the fact but hopefully it will at least help in the future.
I've been doing some performance hacking on PitBull and LibDogTag. I'd really appreciate it if you all could upgrade to the most recent versions of PitBull, LibDogTag-3.0, and LibDogTag-Unit-3.0, and then report back any performance concerns. My hope is that the freezing issue some people have been having is fixed now, and things in general will have sped up a bit and act a bit smoother.
I've been having a problem with PitBull for a VERY long time, and it's stayed with me despite completely rebuilding my UI from scratch 3 times. It's a little bit hard to describe in words, so here's a couple of pics.
- I magically become a rogue that somehow manages to apply a 5 stack of Rupture to the target.
- Before putting on my Wizard Hat and becoming a shadowpriest; SW:Pain manages to become a 5 stack, and a 1 stack separately. Shadow Vulnerability is fine, Misery becomes a 3 stack... and I'm about half way through my cast of Mind Flay... all as a warrior.
Please note that I am a warrior.
Basically, the debuffs occasionally screw up as above and generally the only way to fix it is to target another mob before going back to your original target. However, waiting it out sometimes works too. Spriest/Rogue debuffs are not the only ones to show up, I have also seen 5 stacks of TClap, Demo shout, etc.
Well, obviously the rest of the raid did... but regardless, SW:Pain/Rupture/Misery do NOT stack to 5 (that and you can't have a 5 stack; it doesn't stack at all and a 1 stack of SW:Pain at the same time).
