I have noticed Pitbull has some awesome changes done to it. But my question is with moding pitbull does it use more memory. And which one uses less overall memory. I have used both, but when 2.3 patch came out it broke pitbull and gave a error consistently. So now I use Xperl which is a very very nice unit frame. But I am still very self minded for in game memory use. I'm a big fan of most Ace2 addons. But I need some extra info for what would be better a modded out Pitbull or Xperl. I.E. memory, file size, user friendly, and over getting it as small as possible with out having to squint to see the health/mana/cast while still retaining screen space to see whats going on.
1. Neon green == eye pain.
2. Too big of a sig. Pick one image and stick to it.
3. Xperl and Pitbul are imho hard to compare. I have used both extensively. While features from xperl are amazing (I love the buff/debuff size crap), as are those of Pitbull. Pitbull is far more customizable than xperl is. I suppose it depends on what you like, how much crap you add to it. Comparing them in the other mentioned aspects is not possible, they both have features the other lacks. Just pick which one you like best. I use oUF, can't even get it to show usage ;) LOL
Another thing, if you use a HUD, why bother with a UF addon, just use Grid (or any other raid frame setup that will show party too). All done then :P
Serious sig that one!! Had to laugh at the tanking caveman thou reminds me of a few tanks I know :)
Oh and there really is no contest between xperl and pitbull once you've had pitbull for a week or so there is no going back to any other mod. Get it love it keep it! Even if Pitbull used 100 meg more memory it would still be worth it over xperl.

This is up to your personal preference really, and to what degree of customization you need. Pitbull is the winning addon if you desire a high degree of customization.
Regarding memory use, Xperl uses about 800 kb of memory with everything enabled, and is self-contained (does not use libraries). Pitbull on the other hand, uses about 4.2 mb of memory after including in all the LibRock libraries that it uses. The library usage part does become more and more irrelevant depending on how many other addons use the same Rock libraries (such as Cowtip, Chinchilla and Fubar).
CPU usage wise, XPerl wins though. LibDogTag (the library that manages everything Pitbull displays with the dogtag system) consumes a lot of CPU time.

Should that ever arise, I will gladly delete Pitbull. But then again, I deleted it at 2MB :P
