Okay there is something going on with the auras not showing up correctly in raid and party frames. It is happening constantly to me. I am getting no errors at all, it seems to be random on who it picks to do it to. The auras still show up in my target frame. The targets health and what not will still update. Every single one of my mods is up to date. I know I'm not the only one having this problem as there are reports of it in the pitbull 2.0 thread.
So RE my previous post, it seems like it may have something to do with groups changing in or out of combat. It seemed to fix itself after I died and released from the instance then zoned back in. Of course I did this testing on the PTR but I'm not sure how much of a difference that will make.
I've not seen this in a raid (yet?) but it's happened in BGs a few times. I have target buffs unfiltered and these always work fine. But the same buffs sometimes don't show up on certain raid members (where I have filtering enabled) even though they are set to show in the filter and the same buff is showing up on other raid members.
Example, I buff everyone with PWF at the start of a WSG. On my raid bars, eight people show the buff, two people don't. If I target those two, they actually do have it. Recasting has no effect.
This will arbitrarily fix itelf at some point but haven't worked out when exactly, it might be when they die.
Just thought I would add to the chorus of people having problems with buffs showing up on party/raid frames. Checking/Unchecking buff filtering briefly fixes it. But the problems do return.
As I mentioned in the PitBull thread, I am aware of a problem with auras not updating on party/raid frames. I don't know the cause yet, but I will be working hard to get this fixed as soon as I can.
So I also have the Aura ordering problem, if anymore info is needed I can post it up. here is a compilation of screenshots showing the problem. I've tried to narrow it down to what causes it but I have no luck, and I suck at debugging. All I know is the the naming + ordering of the icons is not consistent.
I had to draw in the mouse cursor b/c it does not appear in screen shots. The tooltip is correct but the pictures are not, i.e. if the tooltip says prayer of shadow protection but it has the prayer of mending picture, right clicking will cancel the prayer of shadow protection. I hope this helps somewhat in getting the problem fixed, if you need any more information or my configuration just ask.
Global Settings -> Aura -> Cooldown text has settings for the color and alpha of the cooldown text.
(frame) -> Other -> Auras -> Font size controls the size of both the cooldown timer text and the application count.
And can you post a screenshot of the "dark area" you're talking about? I've never seen it.
Got same problem, last couple updates really screwed up the auras. Hard to read and get left over graphic glitches where buff/debuffs were on Target frame. Also cannot read the count or CD (using Omnicc for them).
Not changed a single setting in Pitbull, problem manifested itself when updating.
I will try to grab a screenshot soon and post, in the meantime I will try the settings you mentioned (although the updates introduced this, I have not been changing settings)
I was using ALT Auras, that had problem. Cannot remember now why I chose them over the standard Aura, there was something :)
However, disabling that and using Aura seems to work :)

Its a combination of the text and the cooldown spiral that makes things hard to see. Two examples enclosed (the player frame).
No, it looks like you have the text color set to gray or that it has a low alpha. Did you check those settings?
On the character where the screenshots were taken, I didn't set anything in PitBull; no saved variables logging on. That is how it appears out of the box with the recent revision defaults.
Its not just the text at the top of the aura icon that is tough to see, its the graphic in the aura itself. Perhaps makes the defaults a bit more visible? :) No problem changing things here, but for most users they should not have to adjust things things like that out of the box.
It seems ckknight changed the default alpha for cooldown text to 50% when he did the rewrite (maybe it was set that way in AltAura?). I'll fix that when I get a chance. The cooldown spiral graphic won't be changed, however - if you don't like it, turn it off.
