Commenting out those lines seemed to have done the trick. Of course, the frames no longer update, but hey :)
I didn't go up against a heavy debuff-type mob, but did fight mobs where I was seeing some lag before and none seemed to be present. Still a fair chunk of lag when players zone in and such, but that was present in MG2, as well.
ok, self:RegisterEvent("UNIT_AURA", "UpdateAuras") is def the culprit.
with that line edited out it acts just like mg2.
I have 50 to 60 fps away from 40 man raid and 30fps when we all together and have 20 to 30 fps while fighting. These are the same exact fps I get using mg2. This isnt great but I have no noticeale frame skipping with 20 fps+.
ya, just killed chromaggus 40 man raid with line edited out. That is 100% sure the culprit. I would like to see more option with ability to turn off and on options as well, instead of just hide them.
on buffs I would like to see a different approach used. Corkfu has the buff icon show up if the person needs it, why cant raid frames do that?
The order of party members presented in the frames and the natural order do not appear to be the same. For instance, the leader is presented as the third member, although he is clearly Party1. This makes standard F1-4 targetting difficult. Unfortunately, my knowledge of LUA is lacking somewhat, so I can't yet fix the ordering system on my own.
It seems the TargetofTarget frame is not updating. If I target someone with a target it will show. But then if I untarget them it won't go away. If I target another person with a target it will show their target, but un targetting won't make the ToT frame go away.
One thing I'm wondering about when using the 'Classic'-layout. Is the party leader icon really supposed to be at x = 60 y = -4 (think that was what it was set as, in MG2 as well) ? It's way out to the right out of the frame, personally I've changed it to x = -6 y = 8 so it stays in the frame to the left of the PvP icon.
I changed around on some of the stuff in Aura Update, to make it more efficient, please test it out again.
Ok my clan has no raids set for tonight. SO, I went in battle grounds. I didnt notice any game breaking issues in bg's. They say we might do onyxia, if so I test more. it apears to be behaving more like mg2 now. If you could optimize code even more that be sweet as well. I still drop below 30 fps with these frames installed. The hitching seems to have gone away under minimal stress testing.
I do have a request as well, is there a way to make the raid targeting Icon show on target? You know, the moon, star, and others.
