I never even thought about the grow direction. Thanks for the suggestion and it is making sense that it would be the cause of the problem. I'll be happy to finally have this annoyance fixed.
First I want to thank all of you that has helped me before, Thank you.
Secondly I have a question if its possible to get only 1 set of figures in the heath text to show using the custom way, so that when I'm at full health that's what it shows then in fight it just show what less than full health.
Like now I have on absolute and it shows 1200/1200 then in fight its like 1035/1200 what I want is to get rid of the /1200 and only show the first set of numbers and the declining when in fight, is that possible using the dogtags ?
If so how should i then write it since I suck at dogtags =), pls ?
I apologize in advance if this has been asked before, but I have trouble with applying a previously configured profile to a different toon. When I choose the profile I'd like to copy, only half (or so) of the settings will change to their correct values. Then I have to (painstakingly) go through the saved variable file and manually copy all of my settings to the new toon's profile. Of course, I always make a mistake, and end up having to re-configure everything all over again. What's the deal? Any tricks I can use to make this easier?
Now that I think about it, I have this same problem for most addons which use the profile system.
I don't have any problems copying profiles between characters. Occasionally it just takes a /reload ui to get everything situated the way it should be.
I do a reload after I copy as well, and that usually fixes a few minor things, but in general, it still looks like a big ol' mess. Perhaps it's a good ol' ID10T error. The way I do it is:

Maybe you can learn something from the discussion that started on page 31, the last post on that page by JoFu.
It continues over several pages and has some DogTags that might be able to get you what you want.
If not and if I find some time I might be able to give you a suggestion or maybe someone who has experience in writing DogTags (since I have none yet) is kind enough to help you before I find the time...
Is there any chance to place the class-text below the name-text and all of this below the frame?
I know that there's a "outside below right/middle/left" option but i can't place both text at the same position :\
You can add the name-text to the class-text using DogTags and then set that to below.
Erm you didn't get it: i want to have the class below the name. If i add the class-text to the name-text then everything is in one line or is there a chance to force a "linebreak"?
You enable the blank space under the "Bars" menu for the frame. You can then position it the way you position bars.
The problem with using blank spaces to fake two rows of text outside the frame is that then you either have to set the frame background alpha to 0, or live with one of your texts having a background and the other not. I'd love to see offset options for text placement!

That's a solution but there's no chance to place the blank space below the left-floating portrait.
While in general I think the new meta-layout system is great, it does remove a lot of the options that were available under the old hard-coded layout system. :(

Sure, set it to custom then set the custom string to: [CurHP]
I have the exact same problem with auras displayed above the frame are overlapping the bar.
Set to, position "top"
Grow - right then up.
this causes a small overlap...
Mine don't overlap the frame when placed above/below it, but they are positioned incorrectly when placed to the left/right of the frame. It appears the bottom (or top if growth direction is set to "down") left/right corner of the aura frame is attached to the center of the side unit frame. Ideally, if I put auras on the right, the "LEFT" point of the first row of auras should attach to the "RIGHT" point of the unit frame.
pquee, are you using the "Growth Direction -> Up" setting?
I tested it last night and it fixed it as far as I could tell. Changed direction to grow up and once the frame refreshed the overlap was gone. Thanks a TON!
Ok. I don't really know what i did wrong but i cannot chose "Other -> Layout -> Chose -> Custom" for any Frame.
If I click "Custom" nothing happens and the current layout is still the chosen one.
The problem is that I want to save player frame and party frame with different layout-names what is no longer posible.
Why / How to solve this?
I also would like to know where the frame<->layout connection is saved. I haven't found anything in the SavedVariables/Pitbull.lua
Another very bad thing is that the buffs/debuffs are always right-oriented so when i set them on the right side of the frame, the first buff will be set to the far right and the last buff is then set directly next to the frame. Why? :o

Now that I think about it, I have this same problem for most addons which use the profile system.
1) /modname profile choose char
2) /modname profile copy othertoon of servername
3) /console reloadui
That should do it, right?
