just updated pitbull last night (AWESOME mod btw, another convert from Xperl) but i'm getting these annoying two errors relating to the threat mod -
[2007/07/19 07:52:44-81-x3015]: Threat-1.0-44023 (PitBull):448: table index is nil
---
[2007/07/19 07:52:56-81-x1325]: Threat-1.0-44023 (PitBull):448: table index is nil
(tail call): ?:
AceEvent-2.0-40601 (FuBar):910: in function <...face\AddOns\FuBar\libs\AceEvent-2.0\AceEvent-2.0.lua:903>
---
Any help as to what I'm doing (done?) wrong? thanks in advance (also, my own bar seems to have disappeared from Omen when i updated)
same error being reproduced here,
except mine is line 449 and i also dont have the threatmodule enabled in pitbull

Umm, yeah, guess I should've mentioned that... the threat module isnt actually turned on... as I said in the original post, I'm using Omen for a threat meter (any help appreciated, I'm back to using Xperl till I can get this problem sorted out, and after converting, it (Xperl) just looks too *%&(#)% cartoony for my tastes :( )
Update - just tried hte latest download and got a similar error message -

I was getting the same errors and my threat wasn't showing on Omen. If you don't care about the threat stuff being enabled on pitbull and want to show up on your threat meter, do this:
Go to C:\program files\world of warcraft\interface\addons\pitbull\
Rename the ThreatBar folder to something. I renamed mine to ThreatBarBackup - or just delete it.
Go into the libs folder and rename the Threat-1.0 folder. I added Backup to the end of that one too but you can delete it if you don't care.
I didn't test it too long but I found that by doing this I now show up on Omen and I didn't see any errors but I can't guarantee anything. I use bugsack so the errors don't annoy me. Not showing on my threat meter during an instance annoyed me.
I'm not 100% sure you need to rename both folder, you may only need to rename 1 but I did both because I'm too tired to play around with it and I don't care/need the threat features that pitbull has.
I hope this helps.

Simple, yet Very effective solution... Thanks muchly, Xperl was driving me into a cartoony hell for the last few hours of playing...
Does it not work if you just disable the Threat module in PitBull?
edit: run the .bat (batch) file in your PitBull folder to unpack the modules into your AddOns folder - then on your Addon selection screen, disable the PitBull_Threat module

Pookie said above that it didn't so I didn't even try. Getting rid of the modules manually was a sure solution and not hard to do.
What causes these errors? Is there a conflict with 2 threat-1.0s running or is it something with pitbull?
Recently when playing my warrior when I exit a BG or zone in/out of any instance my rage bar is 1/2 full (red) but I have 0 rage, it's not critical but is annoying if I gain any rage it does refresh properly. Also not every time but sometimes it will also show my HP as if I were dead even though I'm at full health same thing as the rage if I lose some health or bandage or of that nature it refreshes properly.
Has anyone else seen this happening or could this be on my computer only? if it's on my computer would anyone have a suggestion as to what might be causing it. I'll post shots when I get home as I took some of it last night.

As I said in a previous post, the error was reproducing while the threat module was turned off.
I did a lot of reading on Pitbull today, and decided I was going to take a second attempt at configuring it the way that I want to. As previously mentioned (I forget what post I made!) There was one that I really enjoyed of Velveeta's, however I'm changing it a slight bit to match my needs. I got my own UF working great, but I've been having problems with the Target UF... one thing at a time, right?
Right now it seems that I'm having problems between class / race text on the target. Firstly, if I enable Class, it completely messes up the unitframe... completely blurs it out, doesn't do anything useful. I haven't figured out what the cause to that was. Heres how I'm trying to set it up
Healthbar - [ Absolute Health]
Blank - [Name Race Level-Class]
Portrait - [ Center ]
Power Bar [ Absolute Mana]
Cast Bar [Normal ]
Here are my questions
1) I thought that absolute health would display if the person was in your faction? Because right now even though originally I copied the code from my unit frame, it only shows me a percentage...
2) I am having problems displaying the information in the blank bar. Name is working fine. Race I can't get to work at all. Actually, I lied... for regular players, I'm able to get the information to work... It was tough because I was looking at NPC's, which still isn't working right... like for example, I want them to say Night Elf if they are, but it doesn't. The level is set to ??-, doesn't say anything after the -. I know I've seen some humanoids that are classified as classes...
I guess these are my questions for now. I still need to tinker around with buffs, auras, and etc... I have never messed with them... we'll see what happens.

It seemed as if you were just disabling it in the PitBull options. I mean turning off the entire module itself in the AddOn window at your Character Selection screen. So that the module doesn't even get loaded into memory, same as if you were renaming the folder.
1) Has anyone ever given the idea, that maybe in it's own thread, I know that people can post their layouts for people to import... Why can't we just have one big file where someone keeps compiling all of the layouts, so that we can extract them and choose what we want? Just a thought!
2) Does anyone have any really good ideas when it comes to auras, buffs, and the like? I'm not the most creative person, and I don't know too much about what I'm doing when it involves those... still just tinkering around. :)
3) How do I make it so that my text, as well as my party members text don't change from their set health bar colors, to red when they're in combat mode? I want that to stop.
4) I have been having problems with random things disappearing. Mostly my layout will stay the same, but for some reason either the blank bar will disappear, or my name will be set to disable... which disables a few things. I have to constantly set back to my layout that I saved.
5) What do I have to do to get the text that describes what I'm targeting? The words for like humanoid, deamon, beast, etc... what is that setting?
I make Pitbull pretty large on my screen (like 250% scaled) and when I do that, the mana / health text gets skewed. It will read out like 11706/ instead of 11706/11706 when I have it set. Also, sometimes the combat text is pushed to the right by 1 digit.

<-- Is an ignoramous... lol... I didnt even know of this .bat file till I was re-reading your quote just now... *facepalm* now I Can see all the inidividual mods, guess it'll be easier to turn a buggy one off or w/e instead of plum deleting it

The wonderful thing about (most) wikis is that anyone can edit them - and create new pages. Your suggestion is a good idea! Do you think you could make a few new pages on the wiki listing the different styles people have posted so far?

is there any way to show the players frame only when a target is selected? I?d like to keep the original Blizz unit frames, but have a second frame with my health and power as well - but ONLY as soon as I?ve selected a target.

3) If the health turns red by simply starting combat I think that's the aggro alert from the Banzai module. Disable this module should do it.
5) Once you've read up on Dogtags at the link Kaltes pointed to you'll want to change the style for whatever text you want to change to Custom then add/modify the dogtag sequences in the Custom box to get your desired result.

get Quartz or Antagonist or nECB, etc.
