First off I would like to thank ckknight for an awesome mod, great work so far.
I am having a problem in raids with stuttering while in combat. I do not use the raid frames, only target and target of target. If I am not targeting the mob i have no stuttering, but as soon as I target a mob it starts up. I believe that I have narrowed it down to the aura system on the target frame. I have it set to show all 40 debuffs, sort is OFF, snap is ON, filtering is OFF, split is OFF, highlight is ON for debuffs. When I disable the aura system for the target frame the stuttering goes away. I have tried various combinations of settings to find the exact culprit however totally disabling the aura system is the only way I have found to stop the stutter. I really like Pitbull but I am forced to use ag_uf while raiding because I need to see debuffs and I can't get playable performance with Pitbull.
Jerry has been looking into this and provided some improvements but its still not comparable to aguf's performance. I'm hoping they will sort it soon though.
I still have raid freezes, don't know why :| If I turn Pitbull off, fps raises and freezing stops.
I played 5vs5 last night and had constant fps of 60 (vsync limit) and 0 freezes as well. This problem only appears when I'm raiding and usually when we're in combat. It's very frustrating cause I like these unitframes :(
I turned all possible stuff off, tried turning auras off, but didn't help. I use filter debuffs on target atm. I have many unnecassery stuff for me, like range checks, threat etc off.
List of my addons as attachement. I haven't been able to figure out if it is some other addon and Pitbull that does the lagging, but at least when Pitbull is turned off, freezes and lower fps during combat in raids stop. Perl (my previous unitframes works) but I don't want to change back to it cause I already gotten used to Pitbull.
I update all addons each day, latest version of Pitbull that I used in raids was:
PitBull-r41000.1004.zip
I'll try to disable all but very necessary addons for raiding and see if I could pinpoint if it's two addons together with Pitbull that creates this freezing. :|
My raid performance problems are back since the new patch... I had previously had good performance, after the issues related to patch 2.1 went away, until I decided to update Pitbull on patch day (this Wednesday). I usually update all Ace addons every day, but since there were some concerns about crashes, I didn't do it for the last 2 days before patch.
Wednesday night I went into BGs, and it was almost unplayable. Unmounting (I play a warlock) caused 3-5 seconds of freeze, and pretty much everything was laggy. PerformanceFu indicated ~150-250 kB/s memory rate increase on those freezes, and Pitbull always scored second after Ace2 (I run standalone libraries) in the memory usage list.
Without having done too much testing, only few BGs, no PvE raids, disabling raid frames appeared to solve the issue.
I'm not 100% sure it's Pitbull causing those freezes, but they are very similar to what happened just after patch 2.1. Also PerformanceFu, as well as the performance increase by disabling Pitbull raid frames, seem to point in the same direction.
Has anybody else seen this?
All Ace addons were latest versions, using disembedded libraries.
I am also getting alot of stuttering when Im in BG's. As I do not raid, so BG's are the only place where I get into a raid.
I am also not using PitBull Raid frames either... In fact I only have Player and Pet frames showing. Not even group.
Disabling PitBull the stutter / lag is reduced drasticly.
version works for me now, though I started using wowaceupdater now and I didn't load all stuff from pitbull now. Raided for 1 hours with twice the fps and no freezing.
My raid stuttering problems continue to exist, oh god this is horrible.
Sometimes it feels like everything is working peachy and sometimes it's just horrible terrible, I really wish something would magically fix the problem. I have turned off all i can from pitbull, only loading essential parts from addon menu.
When I turn off pitbull, my freezing problems disappear.
AG_UF = same problem
Perl classic = works fine, but is ugly and lacks some functions I want.

As Pitbul is now, try enabling debuff filtering. The problem has something to do with the way pitbul displays debuffs, the more debuffs the target has the more stuttering you get in the unitframes (and your UI in general).
I swapped Pitbull off, game worked, then back on, stuttering.
Then I took some addons off that seemed not to work properly (tried dotimer first) and stuttering stopped when I had pitbull on?
Well I decided to change from dotimer to classtimers, which isn't nearly as good, but I rather give up dotimer than pitbull. Does this make any sense? Or was it just luck again and when I log in today, my game will freeze more than ever before.
About debuff filtering, I had it on for long time now, it's very nice function.

I haven't tried debuff filtering, but i have been raiding (and stuttering) with Pitbull for over a month now in hopes that it would eventually end. The stuttering isnt game-breaking for me, but I believe it would be if I didnt recently build a brand new machine - although I am convinced it may be affecting my dps somewhat as melee. I only use Pitbull for Player, Target, ToT, Focus, and 5man party frames (disabled in raid).
My concern with debuff filtering on target is that I assume it would filter out Polymorph, or Hunters Mark for example (hunters kiting Hyjal trash) or any number of other debuffs which I may be keeping an eye out for. It's pretty self serving to turn off all debuffs but your own, especially when key information may need to be obtained (mob not having specific debuffs for example).
I really wish the stuttering would stop :( I love this mod and can't see myself using any other unitframes so I'm continuing to use it in hopes that it will eventually be fixed.

no problem with aura module off

dont work for me, same problems with auras :(
Last night after wowaceupdate, it was all fine again, could it be instance related, I doubt.
