If you just want round 2d portraits you could try moving this into place in your AG setup. http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/wow/addons-3074-1-portraits.html - It's not ace2 but it's not really necessary here. I use it with metahud since I've disabled self/target frames, and assigned them to pop open sprockets. It doesn't include party portraits, but that would be easy enough to add. I realize it's not a solution for a lot of people wanting 2d ports but it will work well enough for some, so figured it was worth suggesting.

1. Could there be an option for forwarding of spells? Like for instance, while I have the mob targeted, could my Flash Heal be directed onto the Target's Target? At present I do this by assisting my spell from the mob but that is quite the hassle.
2. Could we get an option to fix a new target of our choice? Like having a second frame that allows us to track the progress of the bosskill while still having our normal target free? :)
3. Also, a option to hide the tooltip over the unitframes when in combat would be very welcome, like sRaidFrames has.

This functionality doesn't really seem to fit in with ag_UF but I used to use an old Cosmos mod called CastOptions which allowed this to happen (and the opposite, assisting through a player). I believe there's an Ace2 equivalent of this mod called FriendlyCast which might help you out.

This functionality will be standard in the expansion. They are introducing the concept of having a "Target" and a "Focus" which is effectively 2 targets. As far as I know, there isn't really function calls ATM to be able to do this though so you might just have to wait til expansion.

If enabled then spells that can't be applied on your (hostile) main target are forwardet to the 2nd target. Useful for example in Dual Target Mode or when showing Target's Target.
Now, I am no mod developer but I know what I like, the function is great, the looks of the mod not so much. So if this functionality could be integrated into ag_UF as an option it would be awesome. Gonna check out the FriendlyCast tip tho, thanks :)
2. Great news, I rank ag_UF in my top 5 favorite mods, and having improvements like this made to it is really great. As a healing unit I have to have my head where the action is (raidframes :P ) and I have missed having a fixed frame to follow the progress on the kill.
I got the same problem too but sometimes portraits appear depending when I zone, join a groupd/raid but it's lagging as hell. I know they are working on it, so it would be nice in a few days. *Crossing fingers*
As a warlock, when I try to dismiss my pet by right-cliking it's portrait using agUnitFrames I get a warning about "accessing an interface option only available for Blizzard" (or something like that). So it makes agUF pretty useless for warlocks right now.
When changing options related to the display of mana bars in the frames they lose their bg color. They always look like empty mana bars, no matter the ammount of mana the target has. This can only be fixed by relogging.

i have a little question about the portraits from ag_Uf
when i turn them on, i have always the 3d model.. is there a way to turn on 2d models?!

So here is the patched ag_UnitClass.lua that should replace the one in your Addon folder.
Please note that the addon can't do a thing (as far as I know) regarding the fact that the 2D textures are round. Thats the way the game makes them.
