Hiya, I would love to see bars showing timers for next harpoon (even better if its the last one) on the fight of Razorscale (Uld). And 1 comment, on Lord Jaraxxus, the fire elementals' warning sound its the same that Omen uses when you get aggro, I changed DXE's sound but dunno if you want to change it on the default because it can be distracting
Are there any optimizations not yet in or anything that would be affecting FPS? I recently noticed a drop in FPS, disabling DXE improved them. Using latest alpha builds. I'm not on a shitty comp either.
edit: Also think for ToC there are 'engage in xx' timers, but none for Lord Jaraxxus (minor)

Is there any way to global change the raid icon selected by the addon instead to have to go in each boss module and change them for all ?
Harpoon will be added soon. I plan to replace the list of sounds with just ALERT 1, ALERT 2, etc., and then adding a section in the options to select what you want ALERT 1, ALERT 2, etc. to be from SharedMedia. Something similar will be done to raid icons too.

I noticed that too, and only just recently. I seem to be getting problems with DXE, but I didn't just I'd say... a week ago? Not sure :S
There is a bug in v350-beta that will only cause a big fps drop ONLY after you do Faction Champions, but that has been fixed. The only things I've added in the last month that would affect fps is the proximity window and health sorting on Faction Champions. I'll try to profile this week and see if it's eating up a ton of CPU.
I'd add a Jaraxxus engage timer, but the way I detect engages doesn't require localizations (preferred way)
Not sure if you've had this posted or not but two things you might add that I noticed while now using DXE full time:
Mimiron Phase 3 - The ability to swap it to Free For All loot and then go back to whatever loot setting it was at before that.
Thorim - Unbalancing strike announcement of some sort when the player gets hit by it. Unbalancing strike isn't a guarantee that it will land as it can miss. This can be piped like your other warnings to MSBT or what not.

I'd like to see this as well. When I'm tanking, I don't really need to know when the Unbalancing Strike cooldown is up (which DXE tells me about), but I do need to know when Unbalancing Strike is actually used successfully and I need to taunt (which DXE does not tell me about).
I think the faction champions FPS problem you mention may have been my issue, as I was doing ToC10/ToC25 on multiple chars that week, so it may be that my perception was based on that.
Maybe I'm spoiled, but I hate downloading yet another addon for it when DBM would switch it for you already. It just seems that it should be built in to a boss mod addon if it's a fundamental requirement for the encounter.
Yeah, my guild has never bothered to switch on FFA for Mimiron... it's not like Vashj where the mobs that need looting are all over a large area. They're all right there, and it's easy enough for the master looter to just pick the cores up and use them.
Our master looter is a healer most often, no time to go there, pick it up, check that the ACU is stationary* etc. while healing, especially when doing Firefighter.
*) Since they changed the magnetic cores to be self-targeting I've seen their failure rate go up quite a bit. This was previously a problem when you threw the core to somewhere not right under the ACU, now it's a problem when you use the core when the ACU is moving or just about to move. It will simply move away and not be grounded. :\

No it shouldn't.
Why bloat an addon with a functionality only a minority even needs? Even if you were to somehow get 100% of guilds to use, only their raidleaders need the functionality.

Hmm. I think you should revisit your strategy if you're having problems with the ACU moving around... he sits still like a good little fella for us. As for the master looter being a healer, so is ours. :p
Anyway, if you need loot method switching for your strategy and/or group makeup, there's not really any overhead associated with having this functionality in a separate addon, especially since (as someone else pointed out) only one person in any raid will ever need it. The few hundredths of a second that loading 2 extra files adds to your initial load time doesn't really count as "bloat".
Plus, the phase transitions in the Mimiron encounter are long enough that it's practical to change the loot method manually.
You're standing still on Firefighter? Do share details! ;-)
And I concur that having a separate addon for this adds next to no overhead.
MimironFFA is about 100 lines, and half of those are for multi-language compatibility.
And while the p2-p3 transition is rather lazy (p3-p4 a little bit less), I caught myself (or whoever else had leader) only thinking about switching to FFA when the first Assault Bot was dead. So I really just made MimironFFA to cover those cases. ^^
Oh, also, forgetting to switch back and still having FFA on when he diead was just as annoying, even though it's not a problem with my guild, luckily.
No it shouldn't.

So why include it in the main mod?
Less than 10 lines of code is bloat? Really?
Have you ever thought that maybe, just maybe, raid leaders actually use this mod?
I'm fine if the author doesn't want to include it, but it doesn't change my view point on the matter that if you're doing a boss mod including something as minimal as this should be a non-issue. The fact that people make it seem like some sort of vendetta against them is pretty hilarious.
I'll add loot switching to my TODO list, but I don't consider it high priority. If you absolutely need it use MimironFFA.
If I added this to DXE, it would add about as much overhead as MimironFFA. I'd just have to add two functions, with a few upvalues, and four more values into Mimiron's table. Options are unnecessary because it'd set loot back to its original state. So really, it wouldn't bloat the addon.
Are you able to add an option to hide the yellow raid type built-in warning/popup and also the popup/warning that says things like "2% Sanity lost!" and "You have Empowered Darkness!"?
That built-in input along with the DXE warnings is alot to process.
Thank you
