KL Encounters appears to be a fork of DXE, but it's also being developed at the speed of molasses. Maybe by the next content patch we'll have updated timers for this patch's bosses.
BigWigs gets updated regularly, and is more reliable than DBM. Also has some nice features like a visual range display (kinda like a minimap).
Also, you dont need everyone in the guild to run the same boss mod, they all do pretty much the same thing, if people just watch the timers and alerts etc. I know a few players that don't use any boss mods and play better than those with the latest shiny boss mod installed.

Updates will be frequent during (heroic) progression and I have some cleanups and ideas planned for the time between content patches.
Bugs and suggestions are best filed on the google page but I will keep watching this thread and/or the DXE project page.
I wasn't quite sure if my modifications would be permanent or moved to a new addon based on DXE and what the appropriate action on wowace/curseforge would be.
I'm probably going to open a new project on wowace/curseforge, name my package of DXE different (like DXE-reloaded or whatever) and give the authors proper credit.
Or if you have a different suggestion, I'm all ears.
Have Kollektiv add you as an author to the existing project if you have his permission to take over maintenance. Creating a completely new project for the continuation of an existing project doesn't make much sense...
Just a quick question here in regards of the Ascendant Council Heroic's "Frost Beacon" I notice that the warning is available, but is it possible to add a if target is self warning? Just wondering, if it's possible so I could give myself a try into using some other code within the lua and set it as a self warning.
If I understood that correctly you want an personal alert if you have Frost Beacon and a normal alert if it's on others?

Hi guys, I'm currently trying to update DXE for my own use (In first time :) ).
After manual updating of libs and small code update/cleanup, it seems to work correctly (still finding some few lua errors sometimes :D ).
The next step is to create all encounter scripts, but I haven't found any documentation about encounter structures. Is there anything like that anywhere ? Or I have to extrapolate from existing ones ?
