Last night on A'lar, I would get the message that the module was loaded, but would get no bars or warnings during combat. Once realeasing after a wipe, I could see the bars and warnings, which ran after zoning back in. I'd reset the module and the same thing would happen on the next attempt. I update every day with wowaceupdater, so I'm not sure what's changed with my addons, but this week Kara, Kazzak, and SSC bosses worked fine, but I had the same problem on Mag, and possibly some Littlewigs 5 mans.
enUS, and I wanted to add that we were getting to phase 2 a'lar, in case phase 1 didn't have anything. Everything worked in kara tonight, so maybe it's ok now.
Well I had no enrage timer and nothing in phase 2, and I know that Mag should have all kinds of bars and warnings. Unfortunately I'll have to wait till next week to test again.
There's really nothing to test, both mods work fine for me and all other people in my guild. There must be something wrong with your setup.
Make sure you have Lua errors enabled in Interface options and install !BugGrabber+BugSack, then try again. If you get any errors, then you can post them here and get help on how to resolve the issue, if you don't get any errors, then don't bother posting and just reinstall all your addons properly.
I used to use bigwigs but most of the ppl in the guild I'm now in use deadly boss mods. I found myself having to switch over to dbm for the time being because of a big majority of ppl in the raid not see any of my warnings or raid chat messages. Is this something this is defaulted on in DBM? to hide all incoming bigwigs /rw and /ra text? Is there a quick fix for the ppl current using dbm that would allow them to see my bigwigs warnings? I would like to go back to bigwigs but I'm not ready to tell everyone that they have to switch over also.
I'm not a seasoned raider so this may be obvious... but what messages would you want to send to them that their own DBM wouldn't already provide? I thought the raid warnings were for the people that don't have a boss mod installed.
I am a seasoned raider and I will tell you that if my own boss mods don't show me something, I don't want to know anything about it, and I certainly don't want your boss mods spamming me about it. The people in your raid are likely using a mod to block spam from your boss mods. Is there something specific that they're missing (and that DBM isn't informing them about already) ?
it was mainly that they wanted to see some warnings thru raid chat or /rw and they were not coming thru for the ones that use dbm. I figured there would be on option to block or unblock and it's defaulted to block for them but I haven't found any. I think it was the what wave is coming next announcement that wasnt coming thru in hyjal or something along those lines they they weren't seeing the text for.
Yes, I realize the majority of ppl just want the stuff but there can be cases where it's needed.
Btw Phanx (or anyone else), could you give me a few reasons why people should use BW instead of DBM. The only reason I've listed to my guild so far is that it integrates nicely with Assessment. I know I've seen some other arguments, but can't find them.
DBM probably has a "boss block" feature like BigWigs. I don't use DBM, so I have no idea where this option might be found. But in general, if their boss mod is failing to alert them of things they want to know about, you might suggest they simply switch to a new mod.
I'm not sure wether it's the right place to put this, but i'm getting the following error:
BigWigs_TabletBars\TabletBars.lua:84: attempt to index field '?' (a nil value)
the wave timer details during the Hyjal encounters sometimes show and sometimes don't, seemingly random.
Any idea what could cause this?

It only shows if someone with Bigwigs starts the event by talking to Thrall or Jaina.
Otherwise, Bigwigs is unable to detect which boss is the upcoming one. (Yes, the code is pretty stupid, it could detect if you are in "Alliance" or "Horde" base, and/or the existence of certain mobs in certain waves, but it doesn't do that.)

TabletBars is not supported, remove it.
Should be fixed now, thank you.
Does anyone have any freaking clue how to correct this?

is there any Plugin existing to clone the chat-behavior of DBM during a fight (At least I think it was DBM doing this ... )
What I mean is...
If someone whispers you during a fight he should get an auto-message that I'm in a Boss fight and the status of the fight like :
Currently fighting against Gruul (70%) - 24/25 players alive ... please whisper me with "!status" to get an update about the fightstatus
Thanks for answering ...
